    I was teaching English in Dalian China , and told my students to tune in on Little Stevens Underground Garage . That would sharpen them on American English . We would compare notes on what Steven was talking about and I would tell the students and they would die laughing. They couldn't believe the quality of music Steven played . They were stupefied .

    Tell Steven that he and his Disciples Of Soul DID play the Roxy on Dec. 8, 1982. I know. I was there. Great show!

    Steve have you ever interviewed anybody that you know you stole their equipment years ago?

      Watch the Billy Idol interview. It's pretty funny. "You showed up with some microphones Steve".....

    He said similar things in recent interviews, like the one he did with Keith Richards, who explains what it was really like in part 3 of "Talk is Cheap in conversation with Steven van Zandt" (here on UA-cam). Like so many others he thought the Stones had invented the sort of music they played. One of his replies to Richards: "I'd never heard of Muddy Waters until you told me about him."

    I was at the Roseland for the '96 reunion. Of course it was amazing, though Rotten was in P.i.L. voice... he can't find that ferocious angry young man place anymore (understandably).

      Hahaha... You're right. The Brian May vid is about 40 minutes, where he's talking about veganism and stuff. I'd rather have musician would talk about music. Or film.

      Yeah was just thinking the same one of the better shows seems to let steve just talk or maybe they're just on same wavelength

    I'd guess the song Jonesy is talking about is 'Under The Gun' it sounds a lot like the Stones to me.

    That song Jonesy asks about 7:30, could it be "Under the gun"?

    Little Steven: People did not think Ronald Reagan was God. A lot of people did (and do) think Obama was (is).

  • @cruiserscreek

    Enjoyed it as always, could've been double the time. Buddy Holly and the Crickets set off that roll call of U.K groups though.

    • @cruiserscreek
      @cruiserscreek 6 років тому +1

      alfredo shaka dubs for those bands mentioned, it was buddy Holly. Lonnie was earlier (although not sure if it was a 4 piece group which was the context) but not the reason why for those bands.

    I have never understood why some people think Springsteen is so great and his muzak is pretty boring but I did like that song/video that Miami Steven did in the 80s but it really sucks that so many of these people bring their convoluted and redundant politics to the table because it ruins whatever interest or respect I had for them and after two years of absolute off the hook corruption- inflation- division-open border =human trafficking/drugs/homelessness/national security threat etc etc I think that the previous president seems pretty good to me. Democrats are beyond delusional
