- Do you ever get confused on what things to really carry for a Himalayan? Then welcome to watch this video. Going for a Himalayan trek is all about planning and plotting for every minute on the mountains. Even a slight extra load or missing of an item means trouble. So, making a pre-planned list and then preparing days ahead is necessary for wonderful trek memories.

I had trekking poles that I could not easily collapse. I should have invested in better ones. I also had an older phone for my camera. I missed out on some good photos although I got many great pictures. Have a newer phone with a battery that lasts. I am homesick for the Himalayas although I spent less than a month there! The ONLY other place I have ever been homesick for is Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, USA & I was just there for 10 days by invitation of my son who lives in Reno, Nevada, USA 2,600 miles or 4,180 kilometers, from me. He's lived there for 26+ years since he got out of the US Air Force.
