    How can you manage mobile power for 7 days continuously if we shooting photos and vedios

    • @Indiahikes
      @Indiahikes  2 роки тому +1

      Our photographers follow these points to save batteries on the trek. We hope it will help you as well on your next trek.
      All the best :)
      1. Carry power bank according to the length of your trek and shooting style. (If you're shooting lots of videos, you will need more power in power banks)
      2. Keep your phone on flight mode and battery saver mode during the entire trek.
      3. In a very cold temperature, batteries tend to drain faster, so while sleeping switch off your phone and keep it inside a sleeping bag. It will help to save battery.
      4. Always keep your power bank covered with woolen cloth, such as muffler or keep it in a woolen sock to keep in away from cold temperature.
      5. Don't watch your photos and videos, that you captured on the trek, again and again. Save batteries for shooting and not reviewing.
      6. Some mobiles have the option to lower the screen resolution. Keep the resolution as minimum as possible.

    How about a Lighter... To light a fire? And a knife. Also keep a mini shovel to dig / to bury waste products. Get my drift? Also keep some water purifying pills, or, use filters to procure drinkable water from streams. One more thing might come in handy... Some tapes/ bandages to cover the blisters on your feet. I Don't use woolen gloves, they collect snow flakes and get soppy wet.

    Hi Swathi,
    Do you think that carrying water purifiers would be helpful during treks? My concern is the possibility of catching serious water bourne illnesses while trekking, which would possibly ruin the whole trek experience. While I have only done day treks, I sufficed with carrying 2 ltrs from home. However, I'm quite unfamiliar with camping. Does everyone drink directly from river water or do you all have a purification process?

    • @Indiahikes
      @Indiahikes  5 років тому +7

      In the Himalayas, on our high altitude treks, we camp only next to potable water sources. They don't need any purification. But if you're trekking on your own, you could carry a Lifestraw, or perhaps betadine solution. Just two drops of it in your water will purify it.
