Conceptually, among THE most difficult prelude/fugue combinations from Book 1. And this pianist confidently provides one of the best interpretations I’ve heard in my almost 70 years on this little (but potentially limitless) planet of ours.

I've made it my life goal to play (non a tempo 😳) the WTC. There are a few I don't even know where to begin with. So, I listen to this pianist play and forget about study. I then listen again with the score and put her dynamics in. This is seriously inspiring and also at the same time, kind of disheartening knowing that i won't ever reach this level of performance. Oh well.

This is my favorite piece from the well-tempered clavier, that moment at 6:08 when the bass enters!
    You did fantastic!

Refreshing tempo, textures and dynamics. Interesting choice to play the stretto relatively soft. Loved it!

Hai un bel tocco e si sente che stai nel pezzo. Comprendo cge sei un anima giovane ma nei pezzi a carattere "essenziale" e piú autentici gli abbellimenti o le accelerazioni sono stonature (per capirci riascoltati Richter;).
Comunque sei molto brava. Tifo per te e tuo futuro.

Generally well done, but the fugue played way too fast for me, also too expressive, Richter still does the job for me.

Whenever I listen to a Bach's piece interpretated in modern piano I wonder if this was what Bach meant. I found it too romantic.

      I agree...too much rubato

@@MarkHeller13 well, actually, it's assumed nowadays that back then they were much less strict in terms of rhythm than we are now. And it's actually logical: dynamics of harpsichords (which were used predominantly, although pianos already existed) cannot be controlled directly by the player, so the only real means for interpretation left was varying rhythm
and speaking about interpretations... is it really a good thing to play compositions only one way? what's the need for different musicians then? i believe, there is nothing inherently wrong in playing a piece the way somebody likes as long as... somebody likes it. given that Bach was a pretty innovative composer, i'm not sure if he would have any objections

Give me Boogie Woogie any time. Bach is far too morbid.
