Hey Nick, you're really making progress. I've been dealing with a bunch of things over the holidays and my 78 CJ5 is just sitting in my shop neglected. I have started cutting away the body mount bolts. I'm taking body off the chassis, and all of the mount points are rusted through, so a Sawzall is at the ready. I have a question about how you ran some lines. Is that the fuel line that goes out and around the shocks, or brake lines that just hadn't been tucked in and attached? I would be a bit concerned with a line running between the shock and tire. A tight turn could scrub it or worse yet if a shock broke or blew out it could rip the line loose. Is that how it was run originally? I have a lifted Ford F150 and that's the one thing I need to change from how it was built..it's brake line run out away from the frame and could get damaged. The jeep doesn't have any lines left so I will choose my own path. Lol. I'm liking your videos.
Wow! Sounds like you have quite the project as well! Hmmm so the fuel line is dark green, brake lines are copper color, and then the flexible brake lines that go to the caliper in the front are silver. I think the silver flex line runs from the outside of the frame down to the caliper... I'll definitely have to secure that one a bit better to avoid any wheel rubbing... the previous owner had it zip tied out of the way. All of the other lines should be running in the inside of the frame rails... what color is the line you are referencing from the video? Thanks for watching 🙂
I've been cranking away on the Jeep over Christmas break! I have a few more videos to edit so expect more soon.
I love the jacket!
😂
I was avoiting your video, but this time it help me
Road to 1K!

You can use nickel copper for your gas lines as well!

@@NickDowner If you ever have to do brake lines again get yourself a Lisle double flaring tool! You will get beautiful flares the first time!
