I’m shocked that you didn’t tear down the rear and inspect. Also, I’m concerned about that cotter pin. I hope you went back and fixed it. Not meaning to be critical. I just found this video series and really enjoying it.
@@NickDowner I need to rebuild my transmission I lost 1st gear but I’ve been a little apprehensive about rebuilding it myself but after watching your videos I think I’m ready to give it a shot.
I've been having problems with my rear brake lines leaking on my CJ7. I bought the flaring tool you used in this video and it solved all my brake line related problems! Thanks for showing off the tool!
Awesome job. That is a great tool. Absolutely no issue with running spacers. Just run a quality brand, torque them properly with loctite, and check them after 500 miles and each tire rotation.
“Super ‘pumped’ for these speed bleeders” I see what you did there 😏 Great content! Editing on point, music was solid, can’t wait to see this beast go down the road!
Now you can replace the new brake pads way easier! Those looked really thin on there now. I know we have also replaced each side rear leaf springs because one leaf cracked and separated on it. So I hope you got a good eye on them for any hairline fractures in the metal. Great job! I am catching up with your videos slowly!
Great question! I figured I'd save some money for now.... I plan to revisit and maybe reinstall new shoes once she's up and running. Thanks for watching Ed!

Came here to say the same thing. 👍
This series has inspired me to get back to working on my old 76 cj5 she’s been on the back burner for years 👍
Yeah! Get on that! These jeeps aren't too difficult to work on :) what all needs to be done with your build? Thanks for watching!

Brake flaring tool of any type is a must.
Great job. 👍
Very true!! Thank you! 🙂
Wish I had a neighbor like you.
Great job Nick! Liked seeing that Lisle flaring tool in action.
It worked like a champ!

Wahoo! I'm glad! I struggled for hours until I found this tool. It really made everything so much easier
It’s a great little tool! Also you should really consider putting gravel garden springs on those brake lines! Great video!
Ooo another great tip! Thanks Jim!
I just got one of those brake line tools from Eastwood and let me tell you, it's awesome.

That's good to know! Thanks! Right now I'm tracking down some longer wheel studs and then I think I'll be good to go.

Thank you, and thanks for watching Gary!
Why not put in fresh brake shoes when you did the brakes?
