Hi Tom. Always love your professional opinions on Tesla vehicles. I purchased my Model 3 RWD in February and picked up in March which was so impressive as was the overall experience dealing with Tesla. Hassle free from start to finish and communication second to none. I went for the new red colour and 19” mag wheels which confirms the look of a “mid life crisis!” 😂 I just love my Tesla and it’s definitely the most unique and impressive vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve been fortunate to drive several BMW’s when I was working as an Electrical Consultant. My wife thinks the black interior looks like “a house with no furniture” 😂. I love the minimalistic layout especially no storks and “thumb driving” and knew after a few minutes of the test drive with Parramatta Tesla (great to deal with) that THIS was the car for me! I’ve since purchased mud flaps and inserts for console storage and couldn’t be happier. So, last night driving home late from the northern beaches, the car was covered in lots of dew and the visibility to the rear was woeful and this would be the one and only criticism I have in that there is no rear wipers and I would love your opinion Tom. Apart from a few adaptation changes to driving, I absolutely love the regenerative breaking and hardly ever use the brakes, love everything else and I say “don’t test drive one because afterwards you’ll WANT ONE”. Thanks Tom, regards, “Tesla” Ren 👋
Those 0-100 times are on point. I managed to get 3.6s (3.4s w/rollout) with 2 people @ 65% SOC and a warm battery. The LG battery has less power output than the Panasonic battery in the US version. One thing I have noticed from analysing a few dragy results of the US version is that as the SOC drops, the LG power curve drops a bit steeper than that of the Panasonic. The US version can get 11.03 sec 1/4 mile time, it will be interesting to see what the LG version can do in the 1/4 at different SOC.
Just a tip, try keeping your hands at 9 and 3, and don’t move them around as you turn the wheel. Do this for all your driving so it becomes normal, a habit. You’ll have much better control and feel. Great review, thanks.
Hi Tom, I've been following your BYD Seal journey for a while. I'm yet to own a electric car and looking to purchase my first one on a novated lease. Really struggling between the Seal Premium and the Long Range Model 3 as they are relatively similar in pricing. Do you find your experience with the model 3 better than the Seal? As in, is it significantly more annoying to own a Seal without a inbuilt ev trip planner, charging rates etc. Understand that you own a model y as well, anything you're missing when you have been daily driving the seal as long as you are? If the updated model 3 was available before you purchased a Seal, would you have changed your mind? Looking forward to your insights!

This or ionic 5 N?
Surely this ! And save some cash in the bank 👍🏼
Depends on your needs. This is probably a better all round vehicle. For track purists, there are more options to play with in the Ioniq 5N
As a German not getting any tax credit I'm still not decided between this M3P or the Long Range for 7k less... Might as well save the money.
Tough choice, both good options
Get a NIO instead you are blessed with NIO in Germany.
Why didn't you try the comfort suspension mode?
I can say that yes it has improved compared to the previous Performance Model 3
@@LudicrousFeed but there are two modes of active suspension in the new m3p that you tested now, one is "sport" which is more firm, and the other is "standard/comfort" which is more soft. You only checked the "sport" mode...
I checked the other mode off camera. It was fine 👍
Too bad my 3 year old Model 3 Performance doesn't get the new full screen visualization even though I have FSD and everything else under the sun on the car.
Intel Atom right?
@@LudicrousFeed Yep. But if you have FSD and in the US you can have it, just not here in AU. Hopefully they roll it out to us eventually.
What a machiiiiine
It's a sweet ride
Meh, me 1800kg, 320kw that 1835kg and 340kw . Me 3.8 seconds, that 3.6 seconds :). Me saved 30 grand :) and i can go to ikea :) did i mention on roundabouts i indicate using a stalk. i was expecting a real 3 seconds :)
Yes it's well documented that the Shanghai builds are slower than the Fremont ones
@@LudicrousFeed hopefully advertised correctly for Australia ?
@@jestronixhanderson9898 Yeah it's all legit
Seems to be the same 0-60 as the outgoing model….. glad I cancelled order and got a 2022 plaid model s instead
Very different cars. The Plaid is certainly faster in a straight line.
I just bought that same polo jumper.
Man of good taste 😁👏
Neither LG nor PANASONIC have batteries to match where CATL is.
We’re about to find out very soon what they’re capable of
So much slower than the U.S. version, that car hits 0-60 in 2.9s with no rollout as tested by multiple journalists , the RHD version is no quicker than the old car which is hugely disappointing.
No rollout?! Wow
again..... NMC battery.... i'll take the Seal Performance and $15k change in my pocket..... but seriously, how often you'll drive like a lunatic on public roads or you have the urge to spontaneously combust your license...... but i'll wait for the 2nd gen blade battery and 3.0evo platform and see what wonder they can perform.....
Yes the 3.0evo platform looks promising
You may not like the company for what they do? WTF? Feeding the FUD.
I’m just stating what I see and hear other people say about the company
The premise of your question is ridiculous. Why do you care what other people think of your choice of car? Buy it because you like it and enjoy driving it. Who cares whether someone else thinks you or your car are special.
If it doesn’t matter then it’s irrelevant 👍
I LOVE Elon Musk
That’s great
Without Elon, EV wouldn't exist and is the driving force to improve CO2 on our planet + finally he provide Internet (Starlink) for remote areas all over the world via Space X. With X he provides Free Speech. Neurolink could improve live for many paralysed people. I think he may becomes the man of century.
Good there are no storks. Interior would be covered on bird poo
Haha it’s amusing when the two words are confused by some
The difference between the US version and the Asia / Europe specification do bother me! Might be a deal breaker . Sorry Tesla but a shit move on ur behalf .
Fair enough
Wow! I think you might to see your dentist to get a mouth gard
😁
waste of TIME PEEPS - this is the one with the BALLS chopped off only 460 hp so FORGET IT !!!!!!!
Different cars for different markets
Silly girl
US vs. RoW cars have same NM, so 0-60mph is going to be very similar.
this is the GUTTED one ! MEH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Different car to the US with different pricing so it’s hard to compare really
Apparently Tesla is working on a complete new range of speculative thoughts of what might happen one day.....and subsequently actually be delivered.
Some suggest that the timing has something to do with a remuneration vote ?!. Can't for the life of me think why they would think THAT...... 🤔
