Why? It's pretty easy. Igorrr has just abstracted metal. He just built a metal song out of an accordion. The same thing with nervous waltz. He's just abstract digi-metal or some shit. Trying to name the genre is a waste of time now. It's pretty good shit
Could you at least pretend to be struggling a little bit with the songs so normal people can have some hope? 10/10 technique man, I'd love to se more Igorrr videos
Well, it is a midtempo song in terms of the music I generally play, so after 26 years of playing I would consider it rude to imply it would take even longer to get this down comfortably. No other Igorrr videos planned, but duly noted :)
Hey! I was so glad to see you working with Igorrr again. Great playing as always, I love the album. Probably more than the previous one. Nice to see you uploading again. :)
Look at this dude, casually throwing up an amazing performance and not even mentioning that he's part of the genius behind making it a reality in the first place. Fair play to you sir. Clearly a fantastic bassist, and a classy dude to boot!
Well, considering I just put up stuff I'm in, I guess I just assumed people subscribing to this channel knew? Which in turn puts a dent in your otherwise humbling compliment and make me look kinda douchy -_-
@@ErlendCaspersen Hahah, nah man, it doesn't make you look douchy at all - just like someone who's focused on the music rather than trying to win UA-cam :P. I came across your video simply through searching through Igorrr videos on youtube, that's all :).
You know, I've been jamming this track a lot recently. Hadn't watched any of your videos for a while and only just stumbled the on Igorrr - Cheval video and lost my mind seeing you again. Haven't been to this channel since the Blood Red Throne days. Cheers, glad to see you're still killing it!
I would love love love to get a bass only version of this. Like this same video, but just the bass, since it's so low in the mix of the song. I want to observe and learn your triplet thumb/index/middle strum/pop/pop technique!

Woaaaah!!! Brutal!!! ... cheval!!!... Play cheval!!!
Maybe on instagram? This was recorded last summer, and I'm currently busy recording the album for Cruelty Exalted so consider this video a minor deviation.
Feel myself like a bassist rom those jokes: something that is called 'brain' absolutely does not understand what the hell happens somewhere around fingers of your right arm... Nevertheless -- this is truly masterpiece. For both ears and eyes. Thank you for this upload! Inspiring
Please lay down on the couch right there and tell me about your mother, her mother and why you chose to seek therapy through a youtube comment section aimed at circus clowns.
This track is really solid, but for as simple as the part might be... I think my favorite is the slow walk down the scale starting at 1:01. I think just because you get such a rich low end that contrasts really well with everything else going on right in that moment. It definitely helps that the recording quality on the album is seriously top-notch. Nice video and a fantastic album!
Hey, Erlend. Just out of curosity: do you remember how to play Spawn songs you learned in the past that aren't on your channel? Do you keep any sheet music, tabs or notes? Not interested in them, just asking.
There aren't any. Sans getting root notes for piano via MIDI, I just improvise over each section and don't write anything down. I had to relearn this song by ear specifically for this video.
Why don't you upload your Instagram clips to this channel? That site used to be off limits to unregistered users until very recently. I'm sure Spawn fans would love to see those clips of you playing Apparition and Scorched.
Erlend, could you PLEASE play something from Of What's To Come? Anything. Even a 30 second clip shot with a Nokia 3310 would be great. The other day I read your comment about the handwritten tabs being faxed to you which was both baffling and hilarious, but I still think your input was a valuable part of that amazing album.
That specific post should illuminate my point in why I've never posted anything from that album. I've never played a song from start to finish due the nature of the tabs, and the recording process is step by step. Considering it's been about 15 years since I touched this material, you're better off asking Ivan as Deeds are actually playing shows again these days and might know the material.
@@ErlendCaspersen That's too bad. Though I found those three instrumental tracks you made for some message board. So at least I have that. There's a part in Dawn Of The Next (starts at 2:28) where you play a few slowly tapped chords and for some reason it cracks me up every time.
I'm going to say it again. Erland, keep up the good work. But don't think being the best in the world. Just a constructive criticism. 😉... And you ARE good
I wish some country chose this to be their anthem. And you as their Jester General.
I'm rooting for North Korea. They sorely need it.
@@ErlendCaspersen This joke makes even more sense now
As a French, I totally agree this should be our national anthem
@@ErlendCaspersen North Koreans actually love the Accordeon, so this is not as unlikely as you think.
I think you might’ve just described my next acid trip

My brain is confused.
