I was there as well! I drove an hour and a half from Michigan. I didn’t want to miss this. Bobby Figueroa even gave me his drum sticks after the gig! Loved seeing Ed Carter and Matt Jardine as well. 👏👏👏
Al is amazing. Clearly the audio people didn't give him a good mic/speaker system to use. I wish he would do more shows! Great seeing Bobby and Ed, two staples from the 70's and later!
He's a super nice guy too. He came out after the show and talked to many of us fans who were lingering around. Apparently the equipment he was using wasn't even his own and he borrowed it from someone else. A great guy and a monster talent!
Great show. Al's vocals so good but in some parts of California Girls a little grainy. A proof of music without any filter. Al is increíble. 80 and in great form.

oh god it seems like Al is bringing the Ponytail back! haha he doesent even need to cut it as a mullet because in the front his hair hasnt grown since 1970 - just kidding!
Looking at how Al's aged makes me realize so have I as I'm in same age bracket. Fell in love with surf music about 1962-63. I even had all the early LP record albums. Somewhere over the years Iparted ways with those records.😢
My wife and I were married earlier on this day. "Wouldn't It Be Nice" was our wedding song. For 2 weeks I kept reaching out on social media, his website, the venue, even passed a note to security trying to get him to dedicate the song to us but unfortunately it didn't happen. Ill admit a disappointment here despite my efforts.
That sucks. I was trying to reach out to see if Al was willing to do fan meet-ups after the show but I was told not to expect it. As friendly as the staff (both Pangle Pavilion and Al's team) is, they were certainly doing their best to limit interaction between the audience and performers. A big disappointment all around, despite being a great show. Congrats on your marriage though!
Mikes ego.... doesn't want to pay Al his royalties. Al has a great show with the Family and Friends band as well as Endless Summer Band. More rock royalties play with Al than Mike.
@@Finatic13not true - Al gets paid royalties from all of Mike’s shows, even though he isn’t there. They don’t play together often bc they can’t seem to get over their personal differences. Not to mention they have different ideas of what a BBs show should look like… Mike has more of a Rock Concert vibe while Al does more of a Storytelling vibe. I also think it’s possible that Al does not want to do as many shows as Mike & The Beach Boys do Though I’ve heard there’s something special in the works :) relating to the forthcoming documentary
Matt did Good Vibrations excellently.
Kudos to Al and Matt for keeping this legendary music out there!
Hearing the first cords in a beach boys song instantly perked me up me up😂

that must have been a thrill to get Bobby's sticks!
Al still has a nice voice and Matt has a wonderful voice too. Thank you guys for giving us that music.

Dude Probyn Gregory is a beast on guitar. I play guitar and I can't even comprehend what's going on with his fingers

He's a fantastic guitarist and I THINK he was a multi instrumentalist in Brian Wilson's band and picked up the slack guitar wise when Nick died.
Awesome!
Great show. Al's vocals so good but in some parts of California Girls a little grainy. A proof of music without any filter. Al is increíble. 80 and in great form.
I hope I can be as spry as Al when I'm hitting 80!
So awesome you guys did surfs up
Nice JOB all...Bobby does such a great vocal on SOS!!
Enjoying this concert one year later on my wedding anniversary.
A true Living legend

Oh.. Is he 50 yrs old? (Al J)🤩👍
I dont believe Al Jardine ever drank a cold beer. Good 4 hm
Matt did a great Glen Campbell voice during "A Postcard from California"!
scary recreation!!!

Glad Al and Matt are still out there but think the band needs a little work. They seemed a little unorganized.

Hang it up!! Enjoy your legacy
Mike who?!
Mike Jardine.

Nothing wrong with having musical fun; but how old is Al now, bout a 100
I loved the Beach Boys & saw them twice. I was so loyal I refused to even like the Beatles.

Congratulations 🎉be happy 😅you were part of a great family wedding day!
Why dont they unite with Mike Love and Bruce Johnston?

Agree. Now that Brian is not touring would be nice to have Al and Matt with Mike and Bruce.
@@glaser33 With Brian Wilson together would be the best.
@@glaser33 Are you a bot?
I'm surprised that Brian Wilson and Mike Love haven't put a stop to this....Copyright, etc, etc...
As long as he doesn't go under the name The Beach Boys he can play whatever songs he likes.
well. Al would tour with Brians band so there is that and any band csn play any song as long as the licensing fees are paid. (the venue pays them)
Come to Birmingham please
Think on Birmingham
