Love to see the OG get some love! Assuming they didnt do all of those effects just for fright fest, but will be interesting to see how much of it gets maintained well to stay
I completely agree. I don’t believe this is just for Fright Fest (although that much fog in the summer in the end of the queue might be a bit much). Fingers crossed it sticks around!
I rode Batman in early June 92. The theming was first rate, the ride was excellent and totally unique, and there was a real electricity around the park. I’d love to see that type of atmosphere at Great America again someday.
Curious, how much of this theming was around in 92? Maybe not “electric”, but the vibes were high in the station! Guests and even ride ops were clearly enjoying the atmosphere. The operations were speedy too.
@@danthecoasterman22most of the areas had their original themed music from the Marriott era, I'm assuming themed employee costumes were still a thing too
I remember lots of loud prince music, lights, a really grungy feel with graffiti, some fog although not when entering/exiting the station, and that fire hydrant/police car fully operational. I honestly don’t remember exiting and entering the station in fog or the waterfall into the trash can. This looks awesome!
Imagine if the rest of the park was themed this good! It really was a well themed ride and now even better...glad to see they got the fan in the sewer system working again
love this ride. i use to dislike it cause it gave me a headache. now its in my top 3 of the park. going their before the end of the year hope its working!

The ride ops wore tuxedo costumes too.

Ohhh man Prince!!! What a throwback. They havent played that in the SFGAd one in ages
Lots and lots of Prince!
Cedar Fair has taken the reigns. Amazing what a little music, fog and lights can do. 💯😍
Completely transformed!
omgg the EFFECTS 😍👏🏼
Aren’t they great??
It was cool seeing you Dan! That's us waving at 3:05 🤗
Ahhh surprise cameo!! That’s awesome!

The park has been chipping away at bringing theming back. Hopefully they keep going!
That’s cool. Always been a great ride, now looks greater
Agreed! Gonna be spending more time there for sure!
I saw it with voice and lights but not fog! thats really cool
It’s awesome!
Nice! Notice they finally upgraded the original security cams and I bet that was the key to bringing it back. They had the music a few years back
There was music earlier this season, but not to this degree. It’s much louder now and not limited to the station and indoor queue.
Love the vids man
Thank you, I appreciate it!

It’s overlooked since it’s a clone. It’s a very good ride!
@@danthecoasterman22"It's overlooked since it has been cloned." The OG is slightly different than the clones.
I’d love if they gave the rest of the Batman clones at their other parks the same treatment.
Def would be welcomed and awesome, but wouldn’t count on it unfortunately.
It would be cool if they colored it black
That was the OG color, but they just finished repainting it, so it does not seem that they want it black
I know this music from Batman subzero trailer on Space Jam vhs
That’s awesome haha
Is it just me or is the top of the train different?😊
In what way?
