- In this vlog my cousin Merelita is showing us how to make babakau (Fijian Fried Bread). She shows us her recipe on how to make babakau (Fijian Fried Bread) with a little help from my Aunty Lo.
We are joining by my co-host for this vlog Kuku who loves to speak English.
The Babakau (Fijian Fried Bread) is something you have for breakfast in a Fijian Village household for Breakfast. This is enjoyed together with tea and it is a very popular breakfast dish in Fiji.

Vinaka Merelita. Love babakau. Still a favourite here in England. And I wouldn't call it a fried pancake though. Panikeke waicala or panikeke vakatubu would be more of a fried pancake. The ingredients for babakau would make it a fried bread.

Vakasigalevu rice in water soya sauce mushroom salt and tavuteke some fish and add the vegies delights with noodles. Warai gonei teri mai malfunction na kerosene stove Prince Uraia. Ya mo drelakina cake mai na kena vauvau kaila. This Princess is good with stove not afraid of it. Kerosene stove we all use as well for years. The color green is best as it is circular and does not blow.
