Even 90+ Don is not ready to reveal his true fishing hot spot yet 😁. Thanks for clearing up that drumming sound, that has baffled me for years. It's a Ruffed Grouse!👍
We aren't portaging - but we are going to Algonquin in late September - the scenery there looks incredible. And chili will probably be a great meal to make while we are there in the cooler temps. Great vlog!
@@Tents.and.Timber Always the truth with Algonquin. You can second guess yourself to death with the fishing. Most people I watch on youtube fishing the park are using the wrong rig.
Looks like you had some amazing weather, and what a gorgeous lake! You must have been out on the same weekend my daughter and I hit Kawartha Highlands PP in May - incredibly hot for that time of year!
@@GreybeardAdventures oh wow, we barely experienced any bugs during our trip. We had a few mosquitoes that you will see in our next video (being posted shortly) but other than that all we had were non biting bugs flying around.
@@Tents.and.Timber You guys really lucked out then! We got SWARMED like I've never experienced before, both mosquitoes and black flies, which was brutal! Glad you guys got to enjoy some quieter camping ;)
🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦🎥🎥BEAUTIFUL!!!! Good Morning FRIENDS….wonderful Algonquin!!!!
It is wonderful! Hopefully you have been able to get there this year.

Hahaha its even more rewarding if we discover our own fishing hot spot. Algonquin wildlife continues to amaze us.
No fish…No problem! Just enjoy all the beautiful scenery😁
Will do!
Awesome video you 2. Thanks for the bloopers! :)
Hahaha we are glad you enjoyed them, we wanted to add a little something for those of you who make it until the end.

Such a gorgeous time of year to visit Algonquin! Make sure to reach out through Instagram or here and let us know how your trip goes.
@@Tents.and.Timber will do!!
So much for Don's tip . Maybe it was good 50 yrs ago. I use an autocast reel too , but a smaller model.
Or perhaps we need some better technique 🤔

It was nuts! We definitely felt spoiled. We hope your father daughter trip was just as enjoyable
@@Tents.and.Timber We had a great time too, but had to cut the trip short due to the overwhelming bugs! Still, it was great to get out!

@@GreybeardAdventures wow, the fact we were slightly further north must have saved us.
