WK might also still be around to supply rental car fleets. Rental companies have been keeping cars longer because of the shortages over past two years. As you mentioned about supply, they can get these out and the rental techs don’t need to learn a new PM cycle. Just a thought. 👍

This is true the WK has been bought by major rental companies + fleet, and have recently been sold and have been on the market sporadically.. not pre-own certified tho which has been the down side from the buyers perspective and the milage is mainly 30k+ ..
I never see the wk at any rental place for some reason but I was seeing the WL almost immediately lol

My wife and I just bought a Sting gray 14K mi 2021 Laredo X with the Altitude package and love it. We're 70 and this is our 3rd G.C. a new 98 V8 4x4, an 07 V6 2WD, and this 01 2WD. Unreal how they have improved them. Quiet, big brakes , plenty of HP with the V6, and 500 watt sounds, sunroof, lot's of safety features. A pleasure to drive.

The WL is amazing but the WK2 is still a wonderful vehicle! It is amazing how much better car companies have gotten at packaging so that they can get much bigger rear seats without a huge increase in overall size! I have the first year of WK2 refresh. Mine is a 14 Summit EcoDiesel. I hit 155,000 yesterday and I still get comments on how nice it is! I really wish they would put the EcoDiesel in the WL. I average about 30 mpg and tons of torque for towing and the some off road I have done with it.
Mine is black, I'm not a huge fan of black cars but in 2014 there was only 4 colors available in the Summit and I got a great deal on this one because it was a dealer demo. That gray is really sweet!!!!
Good stuff, I doubt Jeep will add the diesel since everyone is racing to go electric… I rather a diesel despite the high cost 🤷♂️
Although I like the redesign better, this is a timeless design and that gray is 🔥🇺🇸💪

I like that they keep the old designs on certain vehicles going. The 4th gen rams were still selling great even with a 10 year old design when they came out with the 5th gen. The destroyer gray color is one of my favorites. I saw a Chrysler 300 recently in that color that looked awesome.
Just got a 2021 Grand Cherokee Laredo with Quadtrac 2 system and tow package. God I love it. New one is not worth the extra money.

So glad they're still using that same body style we have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit with every option known to man and we totally love it it has had issues as it's getting older but we've taken care of those things because we do not want to trade it for another one. It has the saddle interior which we love. It's just been an amazing vehicle! We hope that jeep continues to manufacture this particular type.

I was lucky to get a clean low mile 2018 limited last year for 30 & they gave me 9k for my worn out transit van. It was the perfect time before prices exploded!

Even though my 2015 Altitude is 7 years old, I'm still in love with it and it's actually been reliable. The rub I can't get over is I paid 36,000 for it out the door. (I don't have the extra nannies like the auto braking cruise control, but I don't think I'm missing much considering) I don't think the couple options I don't have are worth over 15 grand. They even removed the carpet from the sides of rear cargo and switched to cheaper carpet ( on WK2). They now even charge you for paint colors unless you want white? SMH
I bought that exact vehicle and I LOVE IT! I only wish it had the better roof rack and towing package. Jeep sold a ton of the WK2 - there will be parts available for a long time - especially from salvage yards.
I love the updated styling of the new GC but the wk is a better deal. It's cheaper plus it has over a decade of production so there's going to be a lot more aftermarket support for parts and maintenance

This model is no more, they stopped producing it about a month ago at JNAP in Detroit. JNAP is being retooled for WL74. It's officially discontinued. I work for a supplier that made parts for these, our last ones rolled off the line about 6 weeks ago.

I know several people that bought the "Classic Ram 1500" for a lower price than the new style. They did not consider a Ford, Chevy, or Toyota. They bought the new classic for a lower price.

You mean WK2 the WK hasn't been produced since 2010. The WK had a 5 year run 2005-2010. The WK2 is 2011 to present ;)

False. Both models share the same program code. There is no such thing as a WK2. If I said that at work (I work at the facility that builds them), not a soul would know what I was talking about.

Hardly a mystery. The WK2 platform is still popular as is the previous style RAM truck can still be had. People want them and Jeep and RAM will build them. I would love the Limited but would upgrade the brakes. Those are out to lunch. Only weakness in a solid design. My Cherokee has way better brakes than the WK2 platform GC.
They do the same with the Ram and the Ram Classic, new and old body style being produced at same time

It doesn’t have a meaning, just a code for the generation. This is the WK2 to be even more technical and confusing 😅
50 Grand what are they high?? Thats going into Truck territory. Don't care about even with all the option a small Suv should never be 50 unless its a european model. Oh I want the WK, but for 50 grand better have a good interior tech and such. Selantis is fucking crazy.
