    PBC is bringing back boxing to the mainstream with big names and matchups fans want to see, great job guys! With mayweather and pacquiao close to retiring there are few fighters who aren't fighting on PBC (yes Cotto, Canelo, GGG, Kovalev, Klitschko....huge names still fight on the big two networks), with most of the up and coming talent fighting through this avenue. Bob Arum can complain all he wants about PBC attempting to monopolize boxing but the UFC model is the only way fan interest is going to sustain compared to the previous industry standard of rival promotions not willing to match up their fighters against other promotions. The promotional company should be the same company that produces the show, not the network, this is the UFC model and since PBC's inception 2 years ago we've been treated to a smorgasbord of competitive matchups, on cable tv no less. Here's to PBC continuing it's market control and eventual domination, there will always be other promotional company's and networks, but let's keep all the elite boxers in one place and continue to deliver the best matchups we've seen in the sport for a while.

    Great fight but this division to me is not very good. The top guys are gone such as Ward and Froch, and what I see are men who would lose to Ward and Froch and are just fighting each other. No one has been the breakout star, we have DeGale who is constantly in close fights and has beaten Bute who's past his prime and who has been knocked out by Froch, and DeGale also lost against Groves who Froch Knocked out twice, not to mention his close fight with Dirrell, so to me he has not a top fighter yet. Then we have Baduo Jack and his biggest wins are Anthony Dirrell which was close, and George Groves which was close. Then we have George Groves who is 3 and 3 in his last 6. Also Arthur Abraham who Already lost to Ward and Froch is THE RING number 1 Super middleweight.
    That being said all these guys are great fighters! I just don't see that special fighter yet.

    • @MrMexicanmagic
      @MrMexicanmagic 8 років тому

      +James Morales I agree on quite a bit of what you've said, certainly not as strong as it was a year ago or so. But i think Degale will take wards mantle, your right he's been in competitive match in his last 2 fights but i think his opposition was world class. Chudinov and callum smith look like wrecking balls that are coming up. I expect groves will regain some form in the next couple of year, and potentially gennady golovkin will be moving up in that time frame aswell. so not as strong as it was but still a solid weight class in my eyes.

    If you know how to judge a boxing match, you'll understand that Anthony Dirrell actually won this fight but he wasn't happy with his performance. He was the slicker boxer, and he used the ring to his advantage. He took a few punches in the process but evaded and blocked most shots and very effective with the head movement. He jabbed with the left hand, he counter punched and landed hard right hands as well as combinations. He attacked the body with left hooks and boxed very cautiously and methodically; He definitely gave more punches than he absorbed. Badou Jack was tough, he showed accuracy with his right hand and he had his moments but this contest however, truthfully, he lost.

      Nova Red, ur very confused Frendo. dirrell definitely did not win this. Every reason u stated for him winning, jack did better. Dirrells power punches are sloppy haymakers and jack snaps his. Jack was moving him back and controlled the ring. Jack had a much more effective jab. Put punches straight down the middle when dirrell was looping most shots. Dirrell tired out quicker than Jack. Dirrells body language showed fatigue and frustration. Even the commentators knew he was losing and these commentators are total morons. The fact that u think dirrell won this completely discredits ur ability to judge a bout. Ur just seeing what I want to see versus what's really there

      JOE Wilson, I was 'rooting' for dirrell but he didn't fight like a champ he was on the 'backfoot, pinned to ropes and fling to the floor several times,he lost the fight 'no ifs or buts about it.no aggression from the so called 'dog'

      +Donte Burgess GGG faced better opposition than both men, up until this fight the only notable win was for Dirrell against an old Sakio Bika.

    This shit was so boring; all they needed was some Teddy Pendergrass playing with all that slow dancing they did. Jack did a little more, which ain't saying much cause Dirrell looked weak and tired soon as he took off his ring gear. I even played on FF on my DVR and the shit was boring in double time.
