- Most UFC champions are about 36 or 37-years-old, so if you want to win, you need longevity, and if you want longevity, you need perfect nutrition. Surprisingly, most boxers don't have nutritionists, but that's not the case for world champion boxer Badou Jack, whose nutritionists, George Lockhart and James Lockwood, have designed a strict nutritional regimen for him to follow in the weeks before a fight.
With GQ Sports, the real action is off the field. Get an all-access pass to the world's coolest, most stylish athletes with original series like My Essentials, Actually Me, My First Million, Game Points & More. Watch a GQ editor try his hand at pro sports in Above Average Joe. And get an all-access look into how athletes shop, train, travel, and showcase their love of style, menswear, and sneakers.
James should do a masterclass for his meals while explaining the sciences behind it and how it helps your body. I'd pay for that.

@@nm4397 whats the link
Exactly
That’s the only masterclass I would pay for
this is literally the most interesting video about nutrition i think i've ever seen
That chef is rly good and knowledgeable
Same here
It’s clear to see he’s legit and not just a “youtube doctor”.
"3% Dehydration Equates Up To 30% Decrease In Performance" That is crucial information.
MrJamesdryable why don’t they just say 1% is 10% decrease?
@@joldomort5515 Its probably not linear
That's why Eddie is feeling weak all the time
@@joldomort5515 It's probably not linear.
@@coledorillo6685 i was about to mention the Beast 😂
"like Connor, I can just literally load him up on carbs" That's the Irish heritage right there, they've evolved over hundreds of years to live off of potatoes and beer.
Lmao
Do carbs have an effect on your cardiovascular performance?
Wild Bill carbs give you energy mate, pasta, bread and jacket potatoes are all great for you
@@ловушказвезда there are carbs which are better to take, things like brown carbs, sweet potatoes, will give you more slow release energy

Andy Ruiz: the mc Donald’s menu will be fine enough
Along with some snickers
Asada fries
And a gallon of oreo mc flurry
George is smart, as the UFC has started offering nutrition services at the PI, I’m sure fewer MMA fighters feel like they need his help. Branching out to boxing is a clutch move.
"I even asked his nursery teacher how many times he had to go to the toilet on average per day"
How many times?
The real question is, What does James eat himself?
Constant Mayhem that guy looks healthy lmao
Constant Mayhem James does photosynthesis
Pop tarts
By the looks of it he doesn’t eat much
@@anthonydurance2601 He looks pefectly healthy. Not everyone tries to be very muscular. And he might eat a lot if he's into running, cycling or some other cardiovascular exercise.
Some of y'all really judging the dude cus hes good at his job
Petition to get Kelvin Gastellum set up with these guys.
Kelvin "Pillsbury Doughboy" Gassedelum def could use a nutritionist

Badou is one of the nicest guys in boxing
The chef seems so articulate, like he's on the ball and knows every exact detail of the food he makes and how it affects the body.
Badou Jack the guy who always gets the wrong end of a decision.
HM Fitness he got robbed his last fight.
He has been robbed many times now. That's what I hate with boxing. Too corrupt.

tyrone smith I 100% agree being a tank fan but what did you think about Davis last fight his performance.

“Probably 2-3 liters of blood.” No
I think he meant quarts lol
A quart and a liter are very close. Maybe pints

About 10k

I scored the Jack-Pascal fight 114-113 Jack. In fact, I scored the DeGale and Stevenson fights for him as well. He could have a whole nother level of prestige if he got the wins I felt he deserved

Its crazy how percise and to the T everything is when it comes to nutrition at the highest level

Genuinely scares me that I cannot live longer based on my income. Imagine having a dietitian of this calibre providing every single thing you put into your body. One of the first things I’ll invest in if I ever make money

Interesting thought, fighters of old did not have any particular diet regimen none the less they fought more frequently against tougher oppositions for longer rounds (15). My questions is, was this just a coincidence, a fluke, was there something they did differently?
MB theyr food isnt poisoned like ours
@@scarlenlscarlenl8828 Apparently so, most fighters of old were known drunks, binged on food, womanizers, and party animals. I recall an interview of Eder Jofre one of the greatest Bantams of all time he said his diet basically consisted of macaroni and veggies.

I believe currently only one UFC champion is over the age of 36
I think guys like them have their place but they're also not necessary. Alex Ariza worked with the best in boxing and after a few fight camps, they all realized it's unnecessary but insightful. Pacman, Mikey Garcia, and Brandon Rios just to name a few.
