My favorite mall in Kentucky and Kentucky's only 2-level mall. Sadly Florence Mall has really went down hill and has lost a lot of tenants since this video was made. It's really sad to see now. The NKY area is booming and it's far enough away from Kenwood Mall that this mall should be thriving.
Isn’t it weird that only 2 malls in Cincinnati are still thriving? There used to be like 15 or more malls there!!!!! Edit: I meant 3 thriving malls. I forgot that half of Liberty Center (opened 2015) was an enclosed mall
@@frankyu553 Yeah but for a metro area with 2 million people it seems highly unlikely for just 3 malls to be thriving. I know I said 2 earlier but I forgot that they built one in the northern suburbs in 2014 that is thriving (it’s mostly indoor/partially outdoor)
@@frankyu553 Dallas-Fort Worth has 9 thriving enclosed malls, a few thriving outlet malls and lifestyle centers, 2 dying malls, and 1 Mall that I would consider to be in a struggling sort of state.
Really great video! Amazing story behind the water tower, they came up with a pretty creative solution heh. With fewer malls around due to the situation I am sure some malls will benefit from the reduction in competition
I would feel really awkward being in a small elevator with people while having a camera on me. Also, I love the arched ceilings in this mall reminds me of the Carolina Place Mall in Charlotte without the glass, but CPM looks better!
Hey man, I've been to this mall a couple of times and know someone who works there. I won't say where to protect her privacy, since she's previously told me that the mall is pretty badly managed - I haven't visited since lockdown myself but, on that basis, I can't imagine that it'll be bouncing back as effectively as it could be. It's kind of an unremarkable mall, but it's clean, safe and has decent occupancy. These days, that in itself can be good enough!
My official mall! You should check out the mall’s in Louisville such as Mall St. Matthews, Oxmoor Center and Jefferson Mall and also Fayette Mall in Lexington.
This has always been the way overrated mall in Cincinnati the hillbillies in Kentucky go to. Most of the people that live there don’t cross over to the other side. It’s literally the Cincinnati area’s version of going to Mexico. So, I don’t think this mall is going to go anywhere anytime soon.
I went to the Bangor Mall today. It looks more lively since recently. I feel the Gen Z influence with a lot of the stores though. Zumiez, spencers, and hot topic. Sort of adapting to the young generation. Mask mandates are still there, and few people are in the main areas, they are more distributed in shops. Lots of empty stores though, they will probably fill them. I definitely think the mall will become more lively after the pandemic. Much more stores and people.
All affiliations with The Retail Union have been terminated indefinitely

It has probably been 25 or 30 years since I have been there
I am not seeing any masks. Did you take this before "IT"? Looks like there is a lot of empty retail space
@@WhittyPics May 2019 footage. I'm adding to the backlog faster than I can shave it down.

Goes to show how over-malled America is. A city really doesn't need 15 malls lol

Malls are dying
Perfectly serviceable mall, not too much to write home about though. Thanks for sharing this place with us.
This mall is thriving
Well the mall owners just defaulted on their loan and now it’s owned by the lenders and they also removed the merry go round
Like a breath of fresh air it's good to see a live mall.
It saddens me to see when a mall dies, I hope they all come back and look like this. 😊
Love your videos.

The lockdown pretty much killed this mall.

Understandable on the discomfort. I try to minimize screentime of passerby's.

Malls aree dying.I heard that there was a rumor that hey was thinking about tearing it down and putting a Ikea there
Utopia, love it, I hope it continues to thrive.
I’ll say this mall is definitely struggling.
OMF the water tower!

I'd like to see you do a video on El Pedrigal.

Bangor Mall and its counterpart, Airport Mall, will drop as a double feature within the next few weeks.
@@DoomieGruntVentures Haha that's like an apple and an orange they are just so different 🤣
Omg your so close to my house✋😳
This is funny a friend from Ohio posted something on the water tower the other day lol
