don’t feel fear, I know you can make it to the top, even tho sometimes when I think about becoming one it scares the shit out of me, but challenges will always come our way, so we have to step on them even if it’s impossible.
This had been such an affirming video. As someone getting their second BS in Biochemistry after realizing that my passion for science and medicine hasn’t faded a glimmer in the time of being a student and post graduate- I wrestled for a long time with why I wanted to go into medicine after first realizing that I wanted to. I wrestled with the thoughts of what misconceptions I may have- and what false notions I may have had about my life with a career in medicine. After deciding that working to become a physician was my goal, I often asked myself if I was pursuing something prestigious for social reasons, even though my constant hunger for new knowledge in reading case studies, research journals and pieces by leaders in the field added fuel to the flame in my passion. It can take months and years to reach the right answer, yet you will be glad that you took the time to do so.
information from the video : - only DO's & MD's that can be called a doctor. - in the US u have to earn ur bachelor's degree in university for 4 yrs -> 4 yrs for medical school - > 3-7 for residency - 1 + for fellowship (sub-specialization) - residency apply to a certain specialty and interview at multiple residency programs, submit a rank list of the programs u'd like to attend in order of decreasing preference.

I would love to see a video about dermatology, especially since you mentioned it as the #1 most competitive specialty in a previous video. I want to be a doctor because I like knowing how things work, I love science and I love learning. Being able to figure out and treat things would be something I feel as though would be the most fulfilling thing I could do in this lifetime. Having an above-average IQ is a great start! Remember, becoming a doctor is about hard work and passion too. If you love what you're doing, you’ll definitely make it. 🚀 What kind of doctor do you want to be?
I’ve been in pain for the past two years, time to take on my pain with science, time to be apart of something greater than what most people can handle, I can handle the years of dedication, what I can’t handle is sitting here wasting time
I made it friends. Several years ago I decided I wanted to be a doctor. Now, just a couple weeks ago, I was finally accepted to an MD program in the US.
@MedSchoolInsiders From the man himself, thank you! I learned a lot from your channel, and I'm sure it'll continue to motivate me through the tough years I have ahead!
I want to become a doctor one day. My parents support me, I just have a very lazy type of personality. I am trying hard to fix it. I am really proud of myself because I just moved to a country where their standards are 3 years ahead of the grade I'm currently in. But, I'm getting 80-90 percent in everything, and its only been 2 weeks since I started! I believe in myself :D
It's to challenge myself to an extent that I'm helping people cure from their pain and in the end of the day the smiles would definitely be worth the hardwork
Hello, I am 11 years old and I’ve been wanting to be a surgeon ever since my mom decided to be an anesthesiologist, I have been studying with her and helping her with her homework, sometimes she says I’m so smart because I focus on her online study book and when she reads a question I instantly remember looking at something about, I really believe I can achieve my goal but I’m not sure if I’m capable of that ability, but I’m ready to step up and show myself that I am capable of being a surgeon.
In the states, naturopaths and chiropractors are doctors. They both require 8 years of higher education and if you look at the curriculum, they go at the same pace as medical school. What they are not, is medical doctors (different fields).
High schooler from abroad, I was surfing the web on what subjects I should be studying, but there were a lot of mix ups, such as info from different countries haha. Seeing things such as Level 1 or Level 2 or Further Advanced phys+chem+bio+maths made me a tad bit confused on the steps. This kind of made it easier, though I unfortunately am not from th US. Still, thank you greatly.
Glad you found some clarity! 🌍 Navigating different educational systems can be tricky, but you’re on the right track. Have you figured out your next steps in choosing subjects? 📚✨

I'm targeting to be an Orthopedic Surgeon. I already started to study hard and became the Valedictorian and I'm currently attending a Science High School and doing great. I'm planning to advance study the basics of becoming a surgeon, its rules as well as medical illness. Can you do a video/documentary as to how to be an Orthopedic Surgeon? Like the steps, the years, etc. Thank you.

Although I have above average iq for my age, I don’t know if I will become a doctor in the future and my family believes in me. That is why I’m here.
Having an above-average IQ is a great start! Remember, becoming a doctor is about hard work and passion too. If you love what you're doing, you’ll definitely make it. 🚀 What kind of doctor do you want to be?
I'm a 13 year old in a normal household and I wanna become a doctor cause I'm inspired and i wanna make enough money for my family to live comfortably
Good for you for doing research and thinking about your career early on in your education!

Im 16 and thinking of going into Dental Hygeine. The pay is still good but it's a lot less schooling and less stress than going the dentist route.
Thanks so much, I send my daughter here
I’ve been in pain for the past two years, time to take on my pain with science, time to be apart of something greater than what most people can handle, I can handle the years of dedication, what I can’t handle is sitting here wasting time
Do a video about MBBS vs MD
I made it friends. Several years ago I decided I wanted to be a doctor. Now, just a couple weeks ago, I was finally accepted to an MD program in the US.
Congratulations!!
@MedSchoolInsiders From the man himself, thank you! I learned a lot from your channel, and I'm sure it'll continue to motivate me through the tough years I have ahead!
I’d like to learn about “Match”
I want to become a doctor one day. My parents support me, I just have a very lazy type of personality. I am trying hard to fix it. I am really proud of myself because I just moved to a country where their standards are 3 years ahead of the grade I'm currently in. But, I'm getting 80-90 percent in everything, and its only been 2 weeks since I started! I believe in myself :D
What is the best answer to the question "why do you want to become a doctor?" aside from the fact that I want to help people by providing healthcare?
Lol they asked that to me too.. And i always say... "
"Bcz i wAnT tO goTTA problEm ,
It’s highly individual to the person!
Good question I’m tryna answer that also without sending cliche
Pink Cat wearing the white coat must be a heck of a feeling... I hope to accomplish that one day
It's to challenge myself to an extent that I'm helping people cure from their pain and in the end of the day the smiles would definitely be worth the hardwork
Hi, I am in 9th grade going to 10th, I want to be a physician and I hope it goes well, thanks 😊
In the states, naturopaths and chiropractors are doctors. They both require 8 years of higher education and if you look at the curriculum, they go at the same pace as medical school. What they are not, is medical doctors (different fields).
Please do the Match video. I would love So you want to become a Plastic Surgeon
