      BenRealVsWorld super dope, dude. Have you figured out how to map the keyboard in PrPro to get to the speed shortcut without the 1,236,768 clicks? I’ve tried to figure it out but haven’t had any success.

      too bad it's the normal way to do it and yet still an absolute pain of a process. God be with you if you ever want to keyframe the position or scale while speed ramping

    Also instead of going through that long menu system just Rt-click in the “Fx” icon on the top left of each clip (in yellow) and then > click on “Time Remapping” ALSO - when you search out the handles to “smooth “ the Transition in speed, pull those little blue handles to make it ease in/out .... way nicer

    • @BenRealVsWorld
      @BenRealVsWorld 6 років тому +5

      agreed, Def meant to touch on that ease in and out option but we were in a time crunch and my brain sucks. Lol def use the easy in/out options it will help.

    • @SamWasHere

      Also ctrl + r to time ramp instead of right-clicking & right click, ripple delete instead of clicking and dragging clips

    • @miguelzamora2011
      @miguelzamora2011 5 років тому +1

      Question, when I pull the blue handles to one end or the other it seems to rise or lower the speed too depending on what way I stretch it out. Any idea why that is happening? I didn't see that happen to either of their clips.

    Nice tutorial, especially lining up your blade tool with the speed ramp keyframes. As an option, you could also use the rate stretch (R Key) tool to shorten clips (thereby speeding them up), rather than right clicking to the speed menu and typing in a speed manually. This could also help when trying to fit the shot to your sequence.

    Was the best speed ramping video i have watched (i have watched MANY and follow peter mckinnon so the dope squad is who i typically watch 4 these) Your video was by far the easiest for someone just beginning (you will see what i learned in my new video coming out by Monday august 12th 2019! I have to say tho i followed you Josh so easily but completely couldnt follow Ben, he went to fast didnt explain it like you did Josh and he just like didnt have (sorry js for maybe help to let you know when talking to people who need more steps) but just very like mono tone and talked like he was just ready to be done with it, missing steps or just going on to different steps without telling how he got there...i guess if that makes sense. This is the only video i have watched by your channel so maybe he was having an "off" day but i found you Josh very easy to follow and super helpful thank you so much and i plan to sub for sure!! i did learn a lot tho so thank you so much and so easy too!
