Disclaimer: Most of the weathering products I use in my videos such as Ammo by Mig Jimenez, AK-Interactive, Wilder and VMS were sent to me for free, but with no obligations to promote them. I received a lot of them a long time ago, even before I started this channel. VMS is also one of my Patreon supporters. Being independent from big and exclusive sponsorship deals and showing you a wide variety of different brands and products was one of the founding ideas of this channel and I will always stand by this.

After not hearing your voice for weeks, hearing that “mah friends” is therapeutic
I'm doing another "ma frens" recording tomorrow, feels good to be back!
@@NightShiftScaleModels my happy senses are peeking
I know right, it's weird how relaxing his voice actually is.
When the world needed him the most, he returned.
Top 10 Greatest Anime Comebacks of All Time
Lol 😂 but he never left
Someone hit the Uncle Night Shift Alarm.... hooray!
I missed not seeing your vids!!! So glad your back! Your models are so good!
Just to be sure, But you used ‘Not seeing’ here, Which would mean That you don’t like That he’s back. Remove the ‘not’ and its a positive comment :)
@@imatoaster7831 thanks man I’m only a kid lol
@@louiethefrenchboi7497 :)
Glad to see you back again!
and when the world needed him most... he returned.
Uncle night shift is back!
Glad you are back sir.
Back to normal. I can't live without your videos
The Night Shift Cult was without it's idol for too long. Welcome back!
Yes! That catch phrase, the weathering, the results, he’s back!
HALALUJAH!!!! Night Shift has returned - my Fridays have been barren without you!
Happy your back looks great
Nice that your back!
"Last week" riiiiiight lol
The most joy I've had all month is seeing your video pop up
Nothing better on a Friday afternoon than sitting down and eating some popcorn while watching night shift.
Thumbs up for oils so much more control, and here for the bloopers at the end
You’re back!!!!
Return of the king
Nice see you back
Finally destroyed blue sandbag gets weathered
7:55 he makes a smile with rust paint 😳
glad to see you back brother. shining light for those of us locked down.
Good to see you back uncle nightshift. Hope you are healing well
I don't even model (though I was pretty serious about it for a decade as a kid!) and I am glad that you are back from a painful injury. Or, at least you are back to modeling if not mountain biking.
Friday isn't Friday without A Nightshift video, welcome back fella..
PAPA NIGHT SHIFT RETURNS!
Great to see you back at the workbench. Speedy recovery and see you next week.
After a few weeks on absence it is so good to hear uncle night shifts voice again
Well done on this tank. I don’t even care for armour (72nd ww2 planes only), but I watch your channel religiously! Fantastic work
I watch your video, then look at my models, then turn back to your video... and starting to cry!) your model skill level is amazing!
Hello my friends glad your back. Its like a true friend of returning
Your model painting is brilliant and I have learnt a lot from your videos so thanks for posting. The one issue I have is track colour. Everyone seems to feel that tracks need to be predominantly rusty. When I first left school I got a job on a road building programme driving a large bulldozer towing a vibrating road compacting roller. My job was to drive up and down this road to level and compact rubble being dumped by trucks. The ground was quite sandy and I can remember that the tracks of the dozer were a polished steel colour. There was no hint of rust. If this tank is to be in action on sandy Syrian soil I think its tracks would also be quite a polished steel colour. Only tracked vehicles that are only driven very infrequently or have been dumped have rusty tracks
Wow, Martin, this is looking great! So many layers to appreciate!
Nice to hear your soothing silky tones.
Two days later and I’m finally seeing this video, welcome home uncle night shift!
good to see you are back mate!!
Here we are againnnn!!! Welcome back Uncle !!! Very happy to see you around mate !!!We are looking forward to watch your enjoyable and very educational videos!
Aaaaah ZEN time in building real good stuff .
Stowage seems really fun. Not only does it ground the tank in reality (with jerry cans or maybe a army accurate rifle) it also allows you to use different colors than just the greens, grays, and yellows of tanks. I’m a mini painter, but your videos are honestly some of the best model content on UA-cam, and your REALLY tempting me to try one of these things!
So happy that your back Uncle Nightshift. 😄
Hey Uncle Nightshift, you can get more transparent oil paints. Burnt Sienna is literally made from rust, it's iron oxide, in most paint lines this is very transparent. There are often more opaque versions of the same pigment, PR101 and PR102 in many lines are available in different tubes, prepared in slightly different ways to give different hues and properties.
Glad you are back & I hope your leg is healing well Martin !
hope you're recovering well! loving the colour palette on this build.
I would love to see you work on some 40k stuff. I mean, seeing you have a go on a baneblade using some of the more "outlandish" 40k camouflage schemes... That would be something!
I am glad to see you back, gotta love this sweet sweet weathering content! I hope you are still feeling better!
Beautiful work, great vid!!!!! 👍😉👌🙂
Great to see you back, Martin! Much love from the US!
One leg or two, it doesn't matter. Awesome video as always, Uncle!!!!!
It was a normal day, then uncle night shift uploaded and it became a great day
Welcome back! Just FYI - Iraqi Sand (70.819) is my go-to for adjusting many colors for highlights as well, but if you're ever looking for a AK 3rd Gen equivalent with similar usefulness I recommend Decomposed Flesh (AK11058).
Always enjoying to see the Patreon pictures turn into a video :D. Nice to know your back.
So glad to have you back!!!!!!!
Man I missed your videos! Good to see you back dude.
painting that civilian wooden box on the side of the tank is giving me "cooling box for beer at a garden party with family members (and that cool uncle that everyone find a bit strange but you like him anyway)" vibes
-edit : I forgot the ‘vibes’ at the end (my sentence was way too long lol)
But let's be honest, who would want to get a beer from something THAT rusty? :D
@@NightShiftScaleModels That depends... is it cold?
Thanks for sharing .. I'm re-booting my scale modelling hobby after almost 30 years and this is a great video to kick start the re-learning process
i just finished this same model yesterday, and used some of the techniques you used in this series. turned out great!!
Welcome back "My friend..." glad you are back!!!
Glad to see you're back. Hope your recovery is going well. Great video. I use some of the techniques I've learned here on all sorts of different subjects. Cars to Sci-fi, rust never sleeps.
Really enjoying your video presentations but so many skills you have i need to watch several times to understand your processes. So impressive work you do.
Thank you , Uncle Martin .
Its been a while uncle nightshift. I'm so happy to see you again make a video to finish the T-55A from Tamiya. I hope you get better soon from your broken leg. I can't wait for your next project, but its better you prioritize your broken leg before anything else.
Good to see you back. The t55 looks great.
Finally the master is back on bench and can finish his Russian Frankenstein
I agree!
Wow !! Lovely that you are using Abteilung oils, if you need a complety matt finish u can use the ABT. 502 matt oil thiner!!!! Very happy to see you in the workbanch again!!! Take care !
cardboard makes them dry really flat without any special thinner :) they also dry very fast. If mixed with VMS Oil Expert I can imagine they'd dry fast like acrylics :D
Man, stowage is so fun to paint. My first set of stowage was with the Tamiya M4 early, and I fell in love immediately.
Oh man the closed captioning made this super enjoyable to watch! it made a gigantic difference as I can able to read and follow like a book while watching.
Thank you for formatting it, it will actually increase view count and enable other to watch it, on says, a train without sound.
Another great tutorial...excellent ! Hope the leg heals quickly. Cheers from Seattle WA.
Welcome back! Thanks for the little anecdote about how long it takes to paint things - the gun mantle took an hour. I think we forget how long it takes to do these things right.
Happy to see you back, hope the leg is not too painful. Cheers Ma friend!
its a good day first a good exam now a video from nightshift excellent day
It is GREAT to see you back at it, Martin! Keep feeling better and stronger every day.
I will have to get some of those Ammo Shaders you used last time. Looks legit :)
It takes a while before you get used to them, in fact, I still haven't found the ideal technique :D Haven't used them since actually.
One of my local modelling buddies here showed me his work with them on a beautiful light blue Lebanese recovery Sherman and it was super cool.
Yay!!!!! A new Uncle Night Shift video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So good to have you back! I hope that your recovery is going well
THE MAN, THE MYTH< THE LEGEND... HE'S BACK!!! And has not lost a mile off his fast ball. beautiful as ever, my man!
HE LIVES!!!
Glad to see you're back at it. I love seeing how you really make these kits pop.
It’s good to see you back on deck Uncle! The T-55 is looking awesome, and I can’t wait for the next episode.
Cheers from Australia!
Glad to see you back Martin. I hope you're doing well and healing nicely. Keep up the amazing work!

My fridays are back to normal......glad ya back Uncky
So happy to see your videos again!
Im so happy to see you back
Good to see you back with more interesting techniques and detailed videos!
Gland to see you back! We can have the search and rescue team stand down now. :)
I'm glad to see you back, missed your tutorials very much.
Have you considered doing a dual tank diorama, like the scene from Kellys Heroes, where they "ambush" the Tiger tank with their Sherman in the Alley and shoot it with their paint-filled rounds?
Welcome back! Happy to see more excellent modelling!
I hope the fracture is healing well. Nice to see your ‘back in the saddle’
You're back! Congratulations!
I really missed seeing your model builds, a few weeks felt like years
Happy to see your videos are back. Hope you are recovering. I really enjoy your work and your production. Very entertaining
Fridayshift. Uncle came back.
Nice video! Thank you for your come back!
In your absence I had started watching some Gundam model vids for the attention to detail.I had a great idea. You and one of the many Gundam should swap models, you build a Gundam the way you would a tank.Camo, weathering, etc. They would do a tank the way they'd build a Gundam. It'd be interesting to see how you both would do it.
Glad you're back.
wow dude, you are amazing!!! good to have you back, hope your feeling better my friend..
