- In this video I show you guys around my Air Force tech school base, this tech school base is Goodfellow AFB and I have been here for about 6 months for my training. Many trainings on this base are around the same amount of time and in this video I show you everything you can do around the base to pass the time. I graduate in 1 week and this will be my last video at tech school!

I heard so much crap about how bad Goodfellow is but this looks sick! I'm in the Army but ill be going there for AIT.

Will have to take the dlab again later in my career to give linguistics another go, but excited for whatever placement I end up with! They say I'll probably ship out in March.

I was stationed at Goodfellow in 1963/64 with the USAFSS, training in advanced cryptology. Went there after language training at Syracuse University, left Goodfellow for training at the NSA then on to Pakistan.

I went through tech at Goodfellow in 1995, there was nothing to do on the base. We were so bored when we had down time, we once went down town to the mall…it sucked. Crazy to see how much it’s changed…. You boys have it nice now…pampered

I’m there now, and I’m really bummed that the alpha warrior thing was removed before I got here.
Danggg and here I thought it was just a prison pushing you to work hard and build your strength mentally and physically !!??? So they actually give you a decent break to unwind and have fun wooowwww?!?🤩🤩🤩 just makes me want to go even more and work even harder on the asvab😜😜

i got Signals Intelligence Analyst and my BMT ship date is Feb. 2nd. so, i’ll be off to Goodfellow around April 6th or the week before that. (i think)

Hey Nick, I'm headed to BMT in March, and all of your videos have been really informational and helpful, however I do have a question: I notice you have a laptop at the tech school... is this supplied by the Air Force or do you get a chance to have personal items (like a laptop) shipped to you? Or what is the situation with that?

Yes you can, you can either buy one from the store on base or have one shipped to you if you already own one.

What stuff did you do during tech school. During your weekends.
Went to the golf driving range, out to eat a bunch, to the movies, went to the river and hung out swung off of the ropes into the water, went fishing a bunch, to the mall and that’s about it San Angelo isn’t really anything to special not to much to do.

Just don’t let the MTI’s get in your head it’s their job to stress you out and yell at you. Just take it one day at a time and before you know it you will be graduating.
Hey bro , I had a question about glasses/ contacts for tech school . I'm in high school right now and wear contacts and I know glasses are only allowed in BMT but will I be able to wear contacts once I'm in tech school ?
Yes, you can at tech school.

I’m not at lack land but no golf course here. And I don’t remember seeing one there either.

Have you ever ordered anything to the post office? How does it work? Do I have to go there before hand and get a PO Box or can I just order something to the base and they’ll assign one for me
You get assigned a mailbox when you inprocess at Goodfellow

Lights out is 2100 and wake up is usually 0545 but can vary due to appointments
Hey Ed, good question at bmt during the pandemic we were waking up at 0445 instead of the Norma 0545 and going to sleep at 0800. At tech school I typically wake up at 0600 be at class by 0700.

You will be shaved there. If he's still there that one dude it's brutal when he cuts your hair
@@jakestewart7862 I know that one, but I mean is there another regulation that we should know, like if we are allowed to grow out our hair during the time we are there but obviously take care of it
Hey, at bmt you will be shaved completely with barley any hair, at tech school when you are in your training is when you can actually start to form a hairstyle. It will need to be shaved on the sides and the back and can not be touching or go over your ear. On the top it can be decently long.

Hello! How much was the wifi while you were there?
Everybody’s chose different wifi plans me and my roomate paid for a $60 plan and split it.
My God-father did his tech-training there in '64 (Intel.). A lot has changed...I'm certain.
Heading there for fire protection training, how have people you’ve met described it like?
Honestly met a lot of people in it, they said it’s a bit difficult but it’s what they wanted to do so they like it.
