Dude how do you become a intelligence officer? I’m wanting to go in the air force and I was wanting to be one. I haven’t taken the asvab but I just wanted to ask. I want to do it but I’m a bit scared that I won’t be able to join. Thank you
@@tdog4423 I honestly didn’t go into it with my first choice. It was a second choice pick after I was DQ by the color vision tests. But OPS Intel was something that’s was brought to my attention from my ASVAB score. It was a job I qualified for so I figured what the hay and life honestly better than what I thought it’d be. I got a 58 on the ASVAB. Hope this helps. 🤝
@@BigFootCurt no a 72 on the general category. The afqt score isn’t that. You have your afqt score which is ve ar and mk. Then you have your mage scores. Mechanics knowledge, administrative, general, and electrical. Each category is scored as percentiles meaning you can get up to a 99. To qualify for most intelligence jobs you need a 72 on the general section.
You will be able to hone your speaking skills with practice. If there is a problem when you get to the school house, they may be able to redirect you into another position if it does not fit well

This video is very informative and helpful! Thank you !
Oooh. This sound's cool. His last name cracks me up, how fitting.

Why did you interview someone fresh out of tech school? I was hoping to hear about the actual job and what it is like.
We like to show their experience out of Tech School so applicants can get an idea of what the training is like
@@AIRFORCEEXPERIENCES the title is a bit misleading. Try touching up on training & the actual job as well if possible. Thank you
How hard is this job? How often people get recycled from this job? Hard as much as air traffic control jobs?
What is the drop out rate for this MOS?
This particular Airman said there were a few that did not make it, but it is mostly people that are putting in no effort during Tech School
U.S. AIR FORCE EXPERIENCES thanks for the reply
MOS is for army in the airforce jobs are called afsc (Air Force specialty code).
I started my ts clearance yesterday, can’t wait to get cleared !

I think you have to score 72 thats what it says on the website
You have to score a 72 in the General area for most Intelligence positions
@@AIRFORCEEXPERIENCES so a 72 on your ASVAB

What if you don’t pass the poly? Can you choose a different AFSC?
There are waivers for certain things for not passing the polygraph. Ensure there is nothing to fail on there first though
When do we get the poly? Is it after bmt or during?
Erik D I believe it is sometime during the third week of BMT. The background check begins before basic though.

How transferable is intelligence to the civilian world?
You can work government or contractor jobs. But you need experience and degree and connections.
