I had a question if you had a minute… Machine duplication still works as long as the _current_ ATK of a machine monster chosen if 500 or less, correct? Couldn’t I just lower any stupidly powerful machine monster I already have on the field to or past that threshold and summon two more like it at full strength? Or even change any single monsters type to machine and basically be able to special summon ANY two monsters with the same name as long as they met the criteria? Or use a monster that treats itself as another monster (tyrant Neptune, phantom of chaos, etc…) to that same effect?

Isnt it equal to "all cards", bcs all cards should be possible to destroy, does it means that it actualy targets (i doubt that one) or that means that it is not possible to destroy cards like dragoon who cant be destroyed by card effects, not targeting, that seems most likely but dragoon is immune even if text states "all" so wtf would they have "as many as possible" and "all" while just all would be enough ?
I guess that Machine Duplication is one of the few cases when the real life card is better than the anime version. The anime version was an equip card with basically the same effects of the real life one, but if the equipped monsters attack or defense surpassed 500, the card and the monsters that were special summoned by it destroyed themselves
Well it seems like that but remember that it wasn't an equip it was a continuous spell and also that it duplicates the monster: it does not summon the monsters from the deck so you could just play one copy of the monster and machine dup summons the others from the deck (yes the first anime was strange)
To make it work they decided to make you summon other copies from the deck but in the anime when marik summons plasma eel and then he activates machine duplication the monsters aren't summoned from the deck
Always fun to see a machine dupe list. I’d personally give an honourable mention to Morphtronic Celfon and Smartfon - both are excellent pluses in a good morphtronic deck (if only they had an actual boss to summon)
@@Deathmare235 they have a few cards that are honestly insanely broken like Celfon/Smartfon, others that are decent extenders like Junk Box, Scopen and Repair Unit, but pretty much everything else is unplayable for today's standards, they don't need that much support to be good, the core of the deck is already there.
One fun interaction between Machine Dupe and Genex Recycled is that Recycled can take the name of any Genex monster in your GY, so when you Machine Dupe it, it will get you two more copies of the Genex you copied the name of. So if you choose a level 4 Genex, you can use this to do level 9 Synchro plays or other stuff.
Shout out to Genex Recycled for being able to copy its archetype's main deck monster names from the graveyard to summon the other 2 copies of that monster from the deck - which included Genex Blastfan, who could search a DARK "Genex" monster when Special Summoned (such as by Machine Duplication, with options including Genex Ally Birdman and R-Genex Oracle which can summon themselves from the hand) and then since Genex Recycled was itself a Level 1 tuner it could Synchro Summon a Trishula using the 2 Blastfans. R-Genex Accelerator could also help with its ability to Special Summon "Genex" monsters when they were added to the hand. (1 at a time though, and can miss timing.) If only Genex was ever really all that good enough to warrant competitive play.
Personally, id love to see a “weirdest card in the archtype” top ten just because so many archtypes have that one card that makes you question why its there.
Man, you discussing Spyral's tier 0 status really makes me wanna see a tournament where they just... unleash the banlist. Like, any card that is on there that isn't a staple 3 of like pot of greed or an FTK enabler goes right back to 3 copies pre errata. Just so we can see what the heck would happen if Dragon rulers threw hands with CED threw hands with Spyrals.
spyrals are insane at full power. They end up with a board full of link monsters that can't be destroyed by battle or card effects, one quick effect omni negate that banishes, and one boss monster that can't be targeted or destroyed by battle or card effects that has a quick effect target and destroy 2 cards every turn. Their boss monster also grows by 500 attack per card on your side of the field every turn they take. All of this while completely controlling the order of the top 3 cards in your deck.

I prefer to use Naschter over Core as the target, since Naschter can Special Summon itself, while Core is jjst a really good searcher. Both can lead to Infinity and that's what matters
I prefer any of the other 2 appliancers as targets as well, Sock literraly special summon both other copys during the turn, so you get more value using dup in bokkle or the puppy
Geargiauger is also a really cool target that could've made the list, at least as number 10. You normal summon it to get Geargiaccelerator, then machine dupe it. Overlay 2 of them for Gear Gigant X, search Genex Ally Birdman. Special Geargiaccelerator, bounce him for Birdman, special Geargiaccelerator again. Synchro summon Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 "Burei" using Birdman and Geargiaccelerator, then use his effect to special Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 "Saizan" from deck. Synchro summon Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X "Bureido" using Saizan and Geargiauger, then use his effect to special Karakuri Barrel mdl 96 "Shinkuro" from deck. Synchro summon Karakuri Super Shogun mdl 00N "Bureibu" using Bureido and Shinkuro, then use his effect to special Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 "Nishipachi" from deck. Use Nishipachi's effect to change his own position, triggering Bureido's draw and Bureibu's banish. From 2 cards (Geargiauger + Machine Duplication) you end on 5 cards (Gear Gigant X, Bureido, Bureibu, Nishipachi and a draw) AND you banish an opponent's card if there is one, which is either a +3 or a +4. The only real downside is that you lose your Battle Phase for the turn.

While it isn't meta by any sense of the word, i was doing a progression series with a group of friends and made a deck around the era of GOAT format based around jinzo 7, machine dup, level limit area b, gravity bind, and a few equips, limiter removal, and other fun stuff. and it worked surprisingly well.
Why don’t you try a top 10 cards that only give you advantage during the end phase. With the exception of Spell Book of Judgment. That would be an instant 1st place
I remember the old days when Proto-Cyber Dragon first came out, and I was running a casual Cyber Dragon deck with 3 Armored Cybern in order to get Proto to be under 500 ATK to use Machine Duplication on it. LOL Armored Cybern was also a Machine Duplication target to go into Lightning Chidori and the generic Rank-4 staples at the time. But then many years later, Cyber Dragon fans finally got their prayers answered with the release of Core!
Top cards that are part of another archetype "by accident" Cards like Magical Android being part or the roid archetype Or Sky Striker Mecha - Shark Cannon being a Shark card Or maybe even something like Guardian of the Golden Land being part of the Guardian archetype (sice it's searchable by Arsenal summoner)

I've been using master duel to play springans with the troop dupe engine it's really good guys, try it out sometime (and laugh at the goobers who will negate and destroy card trooper even though you already got the value out of it)
The sickest use of Machine Dupe I've ever seen was the Genex player from Rata's War of the Worthless tournament. For those who don't know, he used "Genex Recycled" to copy "Genex Blastfan's" name, then Machine Duped it to summon 2 Blastfans, which went +2 with their searches before getting used to summon Trishula.
I would like to see a top ten cards that don't really fit in their own archetype. Like its effect doesn't really help what the archetype is trying to do.

I agree with basically everything on this list besides for the number 1 spot : in a no banlist format with ftks banned that my local does every now and then I’m playing spyral (and I got to finals 3 times) and I actually had to cut machine dup cuz most of the time i had 1 or the other and quick fix can already snowball imto more quick fixes
Please do Top 10 cards with the wording "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" meaning you can use the effect again the same turn if you have another copy of it !
one for one target, machine duplication target, add any spyral gear card on normal or special and not hard once per turn. No wonder quick fix is limited.
I think an underrated target is Genex Recyled a level 1 tuner with the ability to copy the names of genex monsters in the grave so you can pull of some crazy shit with that summon 2 blast fans for 2 searches 2 level 4s for a free Trishula stuff like that
a cool video idea could be top 10 decks that only saw play/were only good in duel links, cause you did a video for cards that only saw use in duel links so whole decks could be interesting if theres enough to constitute a video
I'd like to see a tournament of all the tier 0 decks at full power with modern support and staples. Chaos Dragons with Yata, Zoodiac, Spyral, Teledad, etc.
@@antiproductive4131 Not necessarily since some of them don't swarm that much. OG Chaos Dragons would set up stronger boards without going into that many extra deck negates. The extra deck would mostly be for extenders in their case. Spyral would definitely swarm with negates though. Zoodiac is a maybe but they are more XYZ oriented.
Yata lock is not as strong these days, with bunch of negates available without you having to summon anything, they would definitely be the weakest one. Full powered zoodiac while being strong, is not strong enough to play around things like Nibiru. If you don't include both spellbooks and dragon rulers, then spyral would've been best contender overall.
@@CrnaStrela Yes, but I found a way to make Yata Lock viable. You use a combination of double summon, pre-errata Chaos Emporer Dragon (you'd be allowed to use pre-errata since the decks are supposed to be at full power and can't be with the errata), and pre-errata Sangan or Witch of the Black Forest (it was used in the OG lock so it is fair game). By adding double summon, you can turn it from a two-turn combo to a one-turn combo. You can also play Mystic Mine to deal with the negates. After you pull that off, you will have the extra normal summon from double summon which you can use to summon the Yata you added with Sangan or Witch of the Black Forest. The only thing that could stop you is graveyard effects, assuming they can give them enough cards to make a comeback and trigger off of being sent (Chaos Emporer Dragon doesn't destroy). So it is still viable, although it does use 5 cards and fail if your opponent can use their floating effects to summon a monster with over 200 ATK or DEF. It isn't as strong but it is viable. It isn't something decks would use now, even if those cards weren't errata'd, since modern Chaos Dragons are strong without it and don't really have enough room to add the cards without lowering consistency. Only gimmick decks centered around the combo would actually use it. Edit: Some other things. Spellbook would be there because it was tier 0 and Dragon Rulers would not because they never became tier 0 due to being banned before they could. Zoodiac would likely lose to Nibiru but they could play around it with Mask of Restrict or Fog King. Most decks can just play through Nibiru or play around it but since Zoodiac doesn't have that option, they could use one of those. It's a one-card out, and although slow and weak to removal, works surprisingly well.
Top Ten Monsters that activate when drawn/added to the hand! At least give my boy Watapon a shout out for being the original, even though he's been powercrept hard by cards like Infernity Archfiend and Mahad these days, but I used to love using the little guy back when Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, and pre-Errata Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan were legal, and even simple Special Summons were hard to come by'.
Tuningware would usually be card neutral since: •You use Dupe which is -1 •You get 2 Wares which makes it +1 •You synchro with 3 Wares + 1 tuner which is -3 since you lose 4 cards but gain 1 synchro •You draw 3 cards Yup. Definitely not losing any card advantage nor gaining it. If Tuningware is special summoned, this would be an op move in some decks since you can still normal summon.
Cyber Dragon Core has a missprint (I think) bc on its text, in the part where you have to banish the card, it says that you can banish it from your hand, not from your GY.

(Cards that seem good at first glance but aren't really that good. Top 10 parody cards. Top 10 cards based on other Konami games. Top 10 special conditions in the games. More Rescue Rabbit, please.
In the topic of no banlist tournament, a few channel do this with their community and yeah Link Monster best deck definitely top the competition but the one that have most win is Modern Synchron Deck because most of unerrata synchro monster is too broken without turn restrictions.
How about top 10 best/worst contact fusion monsters? Mainly just asking since Gladiator Beasts are my favorite archetype and I like when people talk about things I like.
Lol Woodborg Impachi was my favorite MacDup target back in the day. Always used it with Shield and Sword to go for game later in the duel, or if I had Limiter Removal I could basically go for game any time lol also ran Delta Attacker so if it ever came up... I had a limited card pool so I made best/most fun with what I had 😅 I was running Dekoichi and Bokoichi (also a MacDup target) to boost consistency so you know I didn't have much to work with at the time🤣
I haven't gone through all your videos so I don't know if you have already done this but I want to hear about archetypes that have never been good and what they would need to be meta or even a tier 0 deck.

I would still say Machine Dupe on Spyral Quik Fix is the best 2 card combo in history. Absolutely game over if it resolves. There's a reason even in the OCG it's not at 3

I don't know if this still holds up with the cards that have released since the last time I dueled against it, but the first thing that came to mind was Crystal Abundance. I love Deskbot 003 for this, summon it, special summon 001 or 009, dupe 003, use all their effects to skyrocket that attack
I've been using master duel to play springans with the troop dupe engine
it's really good guys, try it out sometime (and laugh at the goobers who will negate and destroy card trooper even though you already got the value out of it)
The sickest use of Machine Dupe I've ever seen was the Genex player from Rata's War of the Worthless tournament.
For those who don't know, he used "Genex Recycled" to copy "Genex Blastfan's" name, then Machine Duped it to summon 2 Blastfans, which went +2 with their searches before getting used to summon Trishula.
I would like to see a top ten cards that don't really fit in their own archetype. Like its effect doesn't really help what the archetype is trying to do.

I agree with basically everything on this list besides for the number 1 spot : in a no banlist format with ftks banned that my local does every now and then I’m playing spyral (and I got to finals 3 times) and I actually had to cut machine dup cuz most of the time i had 1 or the other and quick fix can already snowball imto more quick fixes

Please do Top 10 cards with the wording "you can use the effect of this card once per turn" meaning you can use the effect again the same turn if you have another copy of it !
one for one target, machine duplication target, add any spyral gear card on normal or special and not hard once per turn. No wonder quick fix is limited.
I think an underrated target is Genex Recyled a level 1 tuner with the ability to copy the names of genex monsters in the grave so you can pull of some crazy shit with that summon 2 blast fans for 2 searches 2 level 4s for a free Trishula stuff like that

a cool video idea could be top 10 decks that only saw play/were only good in duel links, cause you did a video for cards that only saw use in duel links so whole decks could be interesting if theres enough to constitute a video

I'd like to see a tournament of all the tier 0 decks at full power with modern support and staples. Chaos Dragons with Yata, Zoodiac, Spyral, Teledad, etc.

Lithium2300 has a series similar to that, the Cross-Banlist Cup. Though the decks are more a snapshot of them at their peak.
@@antiproductive4131 Not necessarily since some of them don't swarm that much. OG Chaos Dragons would set up stronger boards without going into that many extra deck negates. The extra deck would mostly be for extenders in their case. Spyral would definitely swarm with negates though. Zoodiac is a maybe but they are more XYZ oriented.
Yata lock is not as strong these days, with bunch of negates available without you having to summon anything, they would definitely be the weakest one. Full powered zoodiac while being strong, is not strong enough to play around things like Nibiru. If you don't include both spellbooks and dragon rulers, then spyral would've been best contender overall.
@@CrnaStrela Yes, but I found a way to make Yata Lock viable. You use a combination of double summon, pre-errata Chaos Emporer Dragon (you'd be allowed to use pre-errata since the decks are supposed to be at full power and can't be with the errata), and pre-errata Sangan or Witch of the Black Forest (it was used in the OG lock so it is fair game). By adding double summon, you can turn it from a two-turn combo to a one-turn combo. You can also play Mystic Mine to deal with the negates. After you pull that off, you will have the extra normal summon from double summon which you can use to summon the Yata you added with Sangan or Witch of the Black Forest. The only thing that could stop you is graveyard effects, assuming they can give them enough cards to make a comeback and trigger off of being sent (Chaos Emporer Dragon doesn't destroy). So it is still viable, although it does use 5 cards and fail if your opponent can use their floating effects to summon a monster with over 200 ATK or DEF. It isn't as strong but it is viable. It isn't something decks would use now, even if those cards weren't errata'd, since modern Chaos Dragons are strong without it and don't really have enough room to add the cards without lowering consistency. Only gimmick decks centered around the combo would actually use it.
Edit: Some other things. Spellbook would be there because it was tier 0 and Dragon Rulers would not because they never became tier 0 due to being banned before they could. Zoodiac would likely lose to Nibiru but they could play around it with Mask of Restrict or Fog King. Most decks can just play through Nibiru or play around it but since Zoodiac doesn't have that option, they could use one of those. It's a one-card out, and although slow and weak to removal, works surprisingly well.
Top Ten Monsters that activate when drawn/added to the hand! At least give my boy Watapon a shout out for being the original, even though he's been powercrept hard by cards like Infernity Archfiend and Mahad these days, but I used to love using the little guy back when Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, and pre-Errata Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan were legal, and even simple Special Summons were hard to come by'.
i remember using machine dupe on infinitrack harvester to search 3 of them. that was fun.
Tuningware would usually be card neutral since:
•You use Dupe which is -1
•You get 2 Wares which makes it +1
•You synchro with 3 Wares + 1 tuner which is -3 since you lose 4 cards but gain 1 synchro
•You draw 3 cards
Yup. Definitely not losing any card advantage nor gaining it. If Tuningware is special summoned, this would be an op move in some decks since you can still normal summon.
Nah really depends if you can make multiple synchros while only using 1 tuningware for each synchro

Cyber Dragon Core has a missprint (I think) bc on its text, in the part where you have to banish the card, it says that you can banish it from your hand, not from your GY.

In the topic of no banlist tournament, a few channel do this with their community and yeah Link Monster best deck definitely top the competition but the one that have most win is Modern Synchron Deck because most of unerrata synchro monster is too broken without turn restrictions.

Lol Woodborg Impachi was my favorite MacDup target back in the day. Always used it with Shield and Sword to go for game later in the duel, or if I had Limiter Removal I could basically go for game any time lol also ran Delta Attacker so if it ever came up... I had a limited card pool so I made best/most fun with what I had 😅 I was running Dekoichi and Bokoichi (also a MacDup target) to boost consistency so you know I didn't have much to work with at the time🤣

I would still say Machine Dupe on Spyral Quik Fix is the best 2 card combo in history. Absolutely game over if it resolves. There's a reason even in the OCG it's not at 3
A top 10 of monsters from 2 or more archetypes or for something more expecific, cards that clearly got something from other archetypes in their artwork(I believe gem-knights is a good exemple.)

I don't know if this still holds up with the cards that have released since the last time I dueled against it, but the first thing that came to mind was Crystal Abundance. Rainbow dragon was concerning if it got out, if Abundance was activated, especially back around the time they came out, there wasn't much you could do

Random idea for a list, Top 10 cards that depicted anime moments. Stuff like Attack The Moon, Cross-Dimensional Duel, and Symbol Of Friendship. It would be more of a "fun" list, where you wouldn't talk so much about the cards competitive history, but instead talk about the anime and the moments they decided to focus on.
