- Someone asked for a tutorial on how to embrace your feminine features so I thought I'd give you two options: Light Feminine and Dark Feminine. And you know I'm gonna talk you through how to do each look depending on your personal facial features 🙌🏻 Hope you enjoy! ❤️

Hi everyone, I had an emergency with Zyva yesterday morning so I wasn't able to respond to comments. I know you all understand, I'll be sure to come back! ❤
Oh no! Hope Zyva is ok!! ❤
Sending love to Zyva 🐈❤
I need those earrings!! Where did u get them
@@Sniffy0727she has a vid talking about her jewelry. The earrings are in it.
@alexandraanele sending lots of love to Zyva and your fam❤❤
🙏🙏🙏
I love her personality, she doesn't give off the fake, overly cheerful vibes that most makeup influencers have.
Weekends with longer Alex videos are my literal favorite.
Right! 30 min video 🥳 love the longer content too
YES 🙌
I live on her long videos
She is basically natural, unintentional ASMR ❤
We all crave the 30+ minuters!
My toxic trait is that I’ve been doing “dark feminine” makeup almost daily since high school
You are like the bob ross of makeup in that i dont have to know how to do makeup but your voice is calm and relaxing and I love watching the outcome.😊😊
Thanks for telling us you looked it up. I had no idea what it meant.why aren’t you nominated for a Beauty UA-camrs 🥇 show?❤❤❤
I think that’s up to us to nominate her. That’s a great idea! We should look into nominating Alex!
We nominate Alex for beauty UA-camrs artist of the century ❤
@@Crystal-yp4mi my vote has been cast!!!
As has mine!!!
@@Crystal-yp4miDITTO
In modern makeup, both should co-exist: bold lip paired with light eyeshadow & dark eyeshadow paired with nude lips . Enjoy makeup ❤❤❤❤
That's what I do. I keep my eyes simple and wear red lipstick, daily.
@@MyCrownstarme too but opposite. Bold eyes when I wanna go all out, but with Burt’s bees pomegranate because my lips are SO uneven that no technique I’ve found so far makes them look good with lipstick and I’ve tried😩
That’s what I do
I do that, but I always struggle to decide if I'm going to use dark eyeshadow/be extra with it (and, by extra, I mean a color you could find in a rainbow) or use red lipstick, I suffer with this everytime lol
@@mayaraxavier2359 I only do one bold thing at a time, either eyes or lips but never both, unless you have a super special event lol
Hi there!
Love your naturalness and ease, you are not artificial.
Just yourself, Alex.
Lots of love from Spain ❤
You’re very talented. I’m much older than you. I watch you for more technique…as I said you’re very talented. Would you consider doing a tutorial on an older woman. Less drama, softer look. Just a thought. Thanks Patti
We're just getting crazier and crazier with re-naming things, aren't we? Coquette makeup just looks like the new strawberry makeup to me T.T and they are both a blush heavy light feminine makeup.
Anyway, Alex's videos are awesome, like this video and subscribe. Bye 🥸
Don't forget the tomato girl makeup lol
Exactly, they keep coming up with new trends but actually it is just the same makeup trends back then with new names🙃🙃
@@tamiw5918they are unable to say "hey, what if we bring an old trend back" and act like they created something new 😂
"Old" as in a few weeks ago! I don't speak enough internet to keep up@@mayaraxavier2359
I love the idea of both faces of Alex. Feminine is more traditionally dark and mysterious but the light feminine seems to be a newer definition of feminine. I think it has more to do with youth, Romance novels and Barbie. I love both looks. Something androgynous and punk next please?
My personality is the dark feminine side, but I chicken out and do more light feminine looks. Love this!
Hey, I'm that someone who requested this video and THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤ I love both sides and am definitely going to be trying these techniques - I'm feeling like the light/soft side for daytime and the dark/angled for night time. Excited to get my makeup kit out and try out some thangs! Fall 2023 is my 'embracing my feminine power' era 💖 Thank you, Alex!
P.s. sending lots of love for a speedy recovery for Zyva
As a French speaker from Quebec, Canada, i was so touched by your effort pronouncing Prisme Libre. And as a former FSL teacher, I must say: you rocked it.
Love you so much Alex. Thkx
Saw that ? she did eat that up lol!! She did it with ease. But y'all Canadians have a very particular accent tho ngl lol!!
our r's loll! C'est difficile!! She DID do amaazing! Allo from Laval!
The light feminine side is pretty much exactly how I do my own makeup, but the dark feminine side is definitely gorgeous😍😍 This was a lot of fun to watch!
Kudos on trying to pronounce 'prisme libre' correctly! As an English person, who speaks fluent French and lives in Germany, I am alternately highly entertained and frustrated at English-language You Tubers who can't pronounce French product names, French ones who mangle the English ones - and Germans who can't pronounce either! 😂😂😂 God bless them all; my accent's not perfect either. Thank you for your great videos.
My favourite is listening to Americans pronounce “mauve”. It’s considered correct but really, it’s a French colour word.
i just want to say thank you so much for making the videos that you do. You provide so much technical skill and knowledge while also creating a relaxed and honest environment. I also really love how there’s no music in your videos, it’s so refreshing to get away from all the noise of the outside world and it’s a lot easier to focus on the task you’re doing/what you’re describing. Thank you so much for your honesty as a creator, please continue to do what you do:)
Found your channel recently and now can't stop binge watching. I really love how natural and sincere you are on camera and go straight to the point, but allow yourself to fool around a little. I like your sense of style and true understanding of what you're doing. Especially your work with colour, it's just stunning.
Maybe you could do sort of an opposite of this video? I don't want my make up to look feminine, but I want it to be bright, colourful, geometric with sharp edges, contrast, all in all - a statement. But I don't want to go full body art vibe, I want this to be a make up that you can wear in the daytime and don't look too much out of place on the street.
Also, some theory on how to make geometric shapes with minimum blending work on different eyes would be great. I personally have hooded eyes and low brow, but I would watch any video you'll make anyway, I just love your inner artist.
And French names of products really ARE something… Lots of love from Russia! 💖
I’m personally more dark femme, but I’ll be DIYing a soft femme look at my friend’s daytime wedding in a couple of weeks. So thank you for this!!
I usually wear more like the light feminine with Japanese and Korean influences, but I really love the softer approach to a dark feminine for when I want a more sultry than cute energy. Thank you for the soft dark look!
You are an artist! Giving us options giving us life
Yayyyyyyyy I love it when another Alex vid uploads!! You are a piece of sunshine on a horrible day and I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you have taught me about doing my makeup!
yes to it all - the side by side, the mini french lesson, the explanation, the research and the planned vid sounds awesome.
love your work! 🖤
Both of these looks were so pretty!!!
You totally rocked both looks! 🩵✌🏼
I looove these 1/2-1/2 tutorials. A little hard to wear out but being able to see both at once makes it soooo easy to understand the differences!
The detail and care you take in explaining technique is brilliant and so much appreciated. Love your channel.
This was very helpful for me! The comparison of the techniques in the side-by-side helps me understand what you're doing and why
Both looks are so gorgeous!! I’m totally a fan of dark sultry feminine makeup 😍
youre honestly my all time favorite beauty/makeup (artist) content creator. i feel like you treat makeup as art because everything i see you do and all the tips you give are always timeless and never trendy and help people truly understand their own facial structures and skin types which is something i kind of struggled with before i found your videos. ive learned so so much from you. and finally thank you for always explaining everything you do with dignity and conscience 💘💘
I can't stop coming back to that dark fem lip combo ❤❤❤ Seriously, so good.
Alex, you’re brilliant. Thank you for finding the answers here. And I’m so glad you are so transparent.
i would love to see different eye looks, both colorful and neutral, to go with different tones of red lips, especially deeper earthier reds now that we are headed into fall! love you, alex!!
im french and your attempt at saying "prisme" was very good !!
Please keep doing longer videos like this! Also I would looovveee to see a daytime Smokey eye look! I love makeup looks on the edgier side, but I want it to feel appropriate for daytime and work settings!
I am 100% the light feminine side 😍💖 this was so cool to see, thank you for filming this! Also YES to the effortless makeup tutorial pleaseee 🥺 love you Alex!!
I can never get enough of your videos. Love all the looks you do. So pretty. 💖
Loving the dark feminine colours for fall. I'm going to have to try an orangey matte shade under my burgundy shimmers this upcoming season. I hope all is well with Zyva.
The difference between the two sides of the lips is crazy! Wow the shadow plus the liner like doubled the size! How cool!
This was so fascinating to watch and both final looks are stunning in their own way- thanks for another super helpful vid! Also I would personally love to see you break down that "effortless everyday" makeup look because it continues to evade my grasp lol.
Hi Alex, I just wanted to thank you. I've been following you for 2 years now, and since I started watching your videos I've been thinking differently about make up and face/ body shape in general. You made me appreciate more my skin and my facial features, plus watching your videos is a way for me to relax and don't think about everything else going on around me. So, once again, thank you for all of this! Keep it up, you're the best ❣️💪
That dark side makes me want to go out looking absolutely insane LOVE IT lol beautiful!! I love your videos!
Great video! Both looks are amazing and the comparison is so fascinating to watch. You're extremely talented, Alex!
Absolutely love both looks! Fabulous, as always!
Omg your skin is so flawless 😍😍😍, I like your tutorials, new to the chanel but love it. Came here looking for a Morticia tutorial. 😊
I love both looks. I really like the eyeshadow colors on the light side so natural and pretty!!
I would love to see a light/dark masculine look! Might be cool to exercise some artistry and be inclusive of everyone, plus I think you could come up with something really creative and exciting. Glad Zyva is feeling better 💕🤒
I'll thank you forever for recommending the Cleo mascara, it's perfect! Love it
The pink on the soft fem side looks rly good with the deep red of the dark fem side, so like a more structured eyeshadow look w that pink + the dark red lip/ dark red eyeshadow look w pink blush would be super cute 😔💖🌸
Love this side by side, and like both looks equally. Would love to see a daytime smokey eye. I really enjoyed your glam/goth video and tried to recreate that look….. all I’ll say is that you make it look so easy 😂
I would love to see a dark feminine everyday makeup vs. Glam dark feminine, side by side.
Also, amazing skills❤
The way you make your wings is just mindblowing to me
You are my new favorite UA-camr! You can do no wrong when it comes to makeup in my eyes! ❤
i love the more natural side. thank you for showing the options to try. I love this video
Beautiful as always! Thank you!❤
I can honestly say I have a place and time for both "sides" of today's tutorial, but I was completely blown away by the effect that contouring had!! WOW!! Now I've got to go back and re-watch all of your videos on contouring with my brushes and my bronzer at hand so I can learn from the best! Absolutely astonishing that one face can literally look like it has different bone structure!! More half-and-half tutorials would be useful for almost any looks, but at this point, I obsessively watch all of your content, 😁😁😁
Love both of these looks!! I’d love to see a video on a daytime smoky eye, please! ❤
Girl you always do your makeup so beautifully! I love both sides! So so pretty!❤
This is so interesting- and the side by side is so beautiful!!
Love a longer video Alex thanku! ❤❤❤❤
Love the color on the dark side
I may be one of your older viewers, but I just love watching you. Reminds me of my younger days when I did alot with my makeup. You are just a gem ❤
Always inspired by your stuff xx
Both looks are so beautiful fairplay
Your so insanely beautiful!!! I like the lighter femm side bc your natural features are just amazing!! Thanks for the tips on the placement of products, could def tell the difference. ❤
OMG!!! That red lipstick is STUNNING!!!❤❤❤ I MUST HAVE!!
Love the soft side!
I freaking ❤ these looks!!! Alex, please show us the daytime smokey eye!
Yes, you mentioned maybe doing a “daytime smokey eye.” I would love to see that. 💖
Would LOVE to see your take on demi makeup
I always use the combination of the two for my makeup because I have both dark and light femininity inside me and my facial features. I like the kinda more structured contour and blush of the dark feminine side but I also like the lightness of the light feminine eyes, and for the lips I just combine the two. a somewhat dark lip line and a lip gloss.
Hi Alex, you're fab! I'm also a dark feminine girlie, and I appreciate your effort to teach us things nobody else does, I love you ❤
I am LOVING LOVING LOVING the soft feminine look.on you. Obviously I love both. And I know you like a more dramatic look then softer, (and I love that when you do them it makes me brave to try them too!) However this soft look on you is so incredibly feminine and light and pretty and gentle. I hope you wear it as one of your daily looks sometimes. I also really really appreicate seeing you in other shadow colors than the warm brown tones..(which look great on you btw). I notice you use them in a lot of your video's, I really appreciate seeing how different colors have a different effect and vibe. I'd love to see you do a video playing with less neutrual colors so i can learn not to be afraid of non neutruals too. Thanks for always teaching me the best tips and tricks . Just entering into make up and You're an awesome teacher
I could see myself doing either side, just depending on what mood I'm in lol I love the side by side comparison!
Love the two sides every time
love it! Master artistry once again! Thanks for the tips
A video on mastering the effortless makeup look would be great!
Dark feminine for the win! That's what I prefer on myself as well.
Another inspiring video! Thank you Alex!! ❤
I love that powder. I have been calling it preesemay Leebray- I need to calm down. Obsessed with both looks
Love this, you could totally do a mix and match too!
Hello Alexandra, the 2 sides are very pretty but I have a preference for the dark side with the red lips. Oh and bravo for the pronunciation of "Prisme libre" (I'm French).... Thank you for this tutorial
So pretty! You make me want to actually spend time on my makeup
This was very fun and very helpful. I liked both looks, but the harlequin effect at the end was hilarious.
This was SO fun and inspiring. Thank you for making more technical makeup wayyy more approachable and fun with your Daria-esque big sis energy.
I would love to see this side-by-side concept with a “Corporate Job Interview: Rebel vs. Conformist” So really just like a polished professional look, but one for the bold babes and another for the understated cool girl. Both boss b*t he’s ready to slay the 3 round interview Olympics.
Very fitting how you are doing a coquette look with so many french named products 😀
I like the light side 🤩
Fabulous Look! Great job! Love Love!
Both sides looks great. I can’t deside 😊❤
Both sides looks so amazing
Alex, your skin is looking amazing! Goals. Love you from Australia ❤
I absolutely love the fabric sounds that your microphone is picking up. It’s a little Asmr moment
I quite like both of these, but the light feminine is like a flowered sakura tree 😍😍😍
I love using my blush on my eyes and then ad sparkle even better if the blush has a little highlight. I use brown mascara cause that's flattering for me. Filling in my brows helps me too.
Hey Alex, maybe you can do a makeup series based on the 7 face essences. I'd love to see what you come up with. Also, congrats on your brush!
As a French person, I always feel so grateful when people try their best to say a few words in French ! It is a difficult language so any attempt at speaking it is very much appreciated. 🫶🏻
Ohhhh - not starting watching yet but am sooo intrigued by the title - bring it on!!!!
So fun! Loved this 🤗
I've been so drawn to the dark feminine recently because it feels like its somewhere in the spectrum of femininity and masculinity, something that embraces the energy of creation, intuition, and the unknown to take control of them to control situations in the tangible world
Wow! I never thought about makeup that deeply.
I was actually considering asking you for a eyeshadow look with light colours because dark colours just don’t really work for my really deep set eyes, so this was really helpful! ❤ I get that the light colours aren’t really you😘 but I would definitely love more light coloured tutorials❤️
Really love your channel! You really helped me figure out how to do makeup again after a long postpartum period where I hadn’t used any. I felt that my face had changed so much that I couldn’t figure out how to place anything 😅 so thank you 😊
Thank you for teaching me! I like this a lot and I'd love to see two things. 1) a side-by-side of how you used to create your eye look and how you now usuallly do your eyes (more angled with a wing). Both looks are gorgeous and I'd love to learn in detail how you create them. 2) make up tips and tricks for a youthful 55-year-old. I have strong bone structure and love playing with make up and I want to be good at defining my nice features without overdoing/looking harsh. Thanks!
