- A video about how long lasting leather wallets are made.
It is a lengthy and detailed process, but so much fun :-)!
There are no plastic parts involved whatsoever. Only vegetable tanned leather. I used 1mm goat-skin in this particular one.

One of the most skilled skivers I have ever watched
Beautiful craftsmanship. I'd be proud to carry something with that much time, attention, and effort put into it any day. Thanks for sharing; this is something that I've had a growing interest in learning for a while now.
Your knives are insanely sharp! I'm thoroughly impressed
Thank you!
Your knife skills are unbelievable, oh and the video and wallet are pure class.
Your skiving skills are insane! Keep it up.
Thanks :-)
The best DIY wallet i saw on UA-cam! Do you have the measurements uploaded somewhere? I would love to do the same one!
Nice done!
this is so calming
What a Masterpiece! Absolutely fabulous!
Thank you for your help with the tool. Bought already one
i 'm not in love with carrying wallets but this's piece of art, good job

Very nice job, beautiful wallet. Thanks for show us this.
+Robson pereira Glad you like it!
This is professional! Well done ! I hope will reach your skills one day! Best wishes!
Many thanks for reply and UA-cam link. Will definitely check it out.
Definitely still a cracking video and thanks for sharing!
Awesome looking wallet. Now finish it off with some polyester lining in the dollar bills slot like wallets usually have when you buy them somewhere.
great to see you work and great job in admiration
I loved this video so much! Great work and thank you so much for sharing with us!
I'm glad that you like it!

I need more!
하여진 More is on the way :-)
omg!!! that's such a nice wallet
Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Could I request a longer video or a tutorial video? This would be of great help to me as a novice!
I also wanted to ask you do not mark the stitching groove yet all the stitching holes look aligned and straight? Is there a certain method to this or does it cone with practice?
Thanks
Regards
Rahul
Hi Rahul, check this out ua-cam.com/video/pNXfMC0SqP4/v-deo.html
There you have a tutorial video for a simpler wallet, made by Ian Atkinson. Plus you can buy the pattern from him!
I did mark the stitching line, it just doesnt show well in the video.
Cheers
nice looking wallet
Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
Great inspiration to watch the attention to detail and methodical approach. Could you share the name of the music and possibly name the author of the background music playing in the middle and toward the end of the video? The music hits my ear just right and I could listen for hours as I improve my leatherworking skills. Thanks
Check the video description ;-)
Would you upload the pattern for this model to the shop?
un excelente trabajo, no publicas las medidas ? seria genial saber las medidas generales o es un modelo propio? saludos me gusto mucho tu trabajo.
Extremely beautiful work. Very much attention to detail, I love that everything is done by hand, you are very talented person. I checked your website and you have really awesome collection. Keep going in such a awesome business :) did you not think about making a custom engraving stamp with your name? That would be rad! :) greetings from Slovakia. Love you!;)
Thank you :-)!
I have a custom stamp, check out my latest videos and you'll see ;-).
Nice work and videos. From watching your videos, I can tell which two individuals you get your inspiration from.
James Johnson Thanks, i´m glad you like it. And yes, i think we both know ;-)!
Perhaps a bit of Nigel and Ian...? Some of my favorites!
cardboredboxdotcom That is what I gathered.
wow awesome skills. I'm wondering what would be the price for such wallet?
Really nice work and thanks for the video. If I may, what sort of leather was that? I want to make a wallet, but I can't seem to find the correct type of leather at Tandy. Thanks again. -K
Black Owl Outdoors Hi, it was 1mm goatskin. But you can just as well use deerskin, buffalo or even pigskin.
Just make sure that it is thin enough. Hope that helps!
Kinnari Leather thanks for sharing the info about the leather. The 1 mm goatskin I have is much softer, too soft for a wallet and it has a coarser surface. Do you know how this was tanned/finished or could point to a specific one? Thanks! And also thanks for the great videos!
This was a great video
It looks like you are using a large whole punch where did you get that?
+Keegan Mitchell It´s a Joseph Dixon pricking iron. I´m afraid the only place where to get those is ebay.
Hai your work is elegance one request you showing this video please how much that wallet price In Indian rupes
Very neat. Thanks for sharing. I would like to make one,😊 !!!
Thank you!
Where would you direct someone who is wanting to begin leather making?
Hello, how much would it cost for the measurements/size for the patterns?
Hello, do you sell patterns to your wallet? I just need to know the "excess" leather to skive before folding, glueing and stitching them together
I don´t, no. But the part you fold over should be about 1cm - 1,5cm, depending on how many layers you have and how thick the leather is. Hope that helps
very good well done....may i please order the exact sale style please

what are those cuts in the spine for?
nice work, it reminds me of Ian Atkinsons build along but with an additional card section. is this inspired by him or vise versa?
Thank you! It is definitely inspired by Ian. He made a several videos with this type of wallet, be sure to check them out.
Would it be possible to get the pattern for this wallet? Got an old leather jacket from my father and he said I should make a wallet for him and this one would be perfect.
Great video also.
Thanks for your answer,
Günther
I don't sell the pattern, but Leodis Leather does www.etsy.com/listing/571391091/build-along-leather-pattern-8-enhanced?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=leodis+leather&ref=sr_gallery-1-4&organic_search_click=1&bes=1
Sometimes I return to videos like this just to watch your skiving.
I'm an odd person, I know.
I used to watch a part of a specific video over and over again, where he polished a piece of leather, which relaxed me.... so I guess you're not the only weird one here.
Anyway, thank you for the comment!
Kinnari Leather , glad to know I'm not the only one who does this! I feel less odd, now (Or perhaps there are more odd ones like us out there than I thought? Heh).
No problem, man. You do great work-keep on keepin' on.
Mareepu

Can you share where you buy some of your tools such as the fine hole punch bar? This looks like a much higher grade than I have found.
It is from Joseph Dixon in England (company doesn´t exist anymore). But to be honest, the pricking irons from goodsjapan are better quality.
