@Kyranyoutubevids that is a compelling theory. However, it would have to depend on when it was written... before Umbridge was shipped to Azkaban or after she was released? I do like it, though.
Harry still is in love with Ginny while hes hunting horcruxes, he very often checks the marauders map to see shes ok. I dont see how Ginny could give him love potion when hes hiding in some forest.
@@nunoneves5809 yes thats what im trying to say, theyre like brother and sister. Them being a couple wouldnt make sense at all🤷 ig if youve only seen the movies i understand the ship more since Harry and Ginny are so awkward in the movies while the filmmakers seem to try to ship harry and hermione together
I think the Ginny giving Harry a love potion theory is more believable if you’ve only seen the movies, since their romance really does come out of nowhere in the Half Blood Prince movie so I think the theory was created by someone who didn’t read the books lol
About the chocolate frog cards being spies: Remember in Half-Blood when Fudge tried to remove Albus’ Order of Merlin award? Dumbledore was only concerned about remaining on the collectible cards. May have just been a passing joke, but this theory now makes more sense with that in mind.
I know when they introduced them in the movies they had Dumbledore on the card when Harry looked at it but when he looked up at Ron then back down Dumbledore had disappeared and Ron said something like: "Well he's not just gonna stay around all day" or "he's got other stuff to do" Was it like that in the books cause I can't remember
We saw Crookshanks go after Scabbers while the trio was in Diagon Alley, long before Sirius would have been able to talk to him, so that suggests that he knew Scabbers were not a good person beforehand. That, he or just found it odd that the guy was posing as a rat.
Nevermind all that. Unfortunately cat theory doesn't hold cause why would Sirius didn't recognise the cat? He knew him when he still belonged to Potters. And as you remember, Croikshanks had rather distinctive look, he'd be easily recognisable if similar in looks, at least Sirius would suggest the possibility...
Yeah. He’s funny, but this situation is too serious even for him to crack such jokes. And Dumbledore tells Harry that members of the Order have better means of communication than Umbridge’s fireplace. We never know what that means exactly is.
@@ShriyaditaSSDumbledore was very casual throughout that whole encounter and did crack a few jokes iirc. He also basically said towards the end that he doesn’t really feel like going to Azkaban, and that he could break out but that would simply be a waste of time for him, so he won’t come quietly. He did not take Umbridge, Fudge, or Dawlish seriously at all, and then he escaped super easily. I think it’s completely plausible he was just cracking a sarcastic joke about the chocolate frogs.
I think those who have only seen the movies would believe Ginny needed a love potion. Because let’s be honest, that version of Ginny would need a love potion lol.
16:40 Yes, the very first time Crookshanks shows up is using Ron's head as a landing pad in order to chase Scabbers back at the Magical Menagerie. He was onto Peter far before meeting Sirius sometime at Hogwarts, or should I say re-uniting with him (Sirius not remembering a cat after 12 years in Azkaban).
I felt like the reason for that was because the movies and the movies looked like their perfect couple and they made convinced them to believe their ended game with Hermione. I find it hilarious that the author said the same thing when she knew who ended up by writing the books in secret
I've always been partial to the theory that Molly or one of the other Weasley's noticing Harry and recognized him as a possible muggleborn (the owl being a dead giveaway) and helping him without being obvious about it
But why would wizards that fully live in the wizarding world arrive through the muggle entrance? when they have a floo or can apperate directly to the platform. In CoS they arrive by car because of arthur but he isn't there in the first 1.
@@patrickodan Is it stated anywhere that there is a separate entrance to the station or the platform directly for the wizards? I believe it was just a common station, with a magical barrier to the platform
@@ambiverter not sure if it is mentioned in official cannon, but if there isn't that is a huge oversight, can you imagine all of those wizards coming through the muggle side? it would be a guaranteed statute of secrecy nightmare.
@@patrickodan I mean, the obvious answer to this is because using the Floo costs Floo Powder and they don't want to waste money on it when they don't have to.
*Another hot take:* Mr and Mrs Evans loved and preferred James Potter (who they found amusing and charming) a lot more than they did Vernon Dursley, and this only exacerbated Petunia's resentment and jealousy of her sister Lily even more. What are your thoughts on that?
Agreed, love reading fanfics were they are just doting on James, but treating Vernon nice enough to be respectful. Although to be fair in those James is nice a polite, while Vernon is rude and Vernoniness
About the love potion theory : Harry started falling for Ginny sooner than HBP. The people who say that Harry and Ginny’s relationship seemed “forced” or “came out of nowhere” clearly just don’t have good reading comprehension, if they even read the books at all. JKR writes several subtle lines about Harry and Ginny. In OOTP, there is a scene between Harry and Ginny when she delivers his chocolate Easter eggs to him from her mom. They are alone together in the library and Ginny is clearly very comfortable talking to Harry. This suggests Harry and Ginny may spend some alone time together as friends casually, but JKR never wrote that in because she doesn’t focus on romance. In HBP, Harry spends nearly 2 months at the Burrow in the summer. He spends every day in close confines with Ginny, as they played Quidditch together and….well…just lived together. They probably spent all mealtimes together, did chores around the Burrow together, and spent free time together playing games with Ron and Hermione. The reader would have to derive this on their own as JKR literally only dedicated 1 sentence to those 2 months. So it really does make perfect sense that Harry would subconsciously begin falling for Ginny. She’s said to be pretty, funny, smart, and very athletic, and fiercely loyal. All traits Harry values, by the way….and she has been personally victimized by Voldemort in COS so she understands Harry in a way not even Ron or Hermione could. Harry himself admits he didn’t realize his feelings for Ginny, because he didn’t recognize her flowery scent from the love potion in Slughorns class on the first day. His body reacts to Ginny before his mind even grasped it. When he sees her with Dean and the “monster” in his chest was born, the monster is representation of jealousy and sexual desire. Harry’s a 16 year old boy and it makes sense that he’s beginning to have sexual thoughts. But JKR is writing a children’s book, so she can’t get into the sexy details. Hence, the “monster” references. It’s absolutely brilliant, and it really solidifies the notion that Harry and Ginny are truly meant for each other.
Plus in an earlier book, I think Goblet but not sure when she starts to walk away he’s like oh I almost forgot she doesn’t hang out with us all the time at school.
Yeah while I believe Ginny and Hary's relationship could have been written better, I don't think it came out of nowhere. I think we should have seen at least one more bonding moment between Harry and Ginny before they started dating (maybe some flirting), I don't think it came out of nowhere. There were signs. And I definitely don't think it felt unnatural once they started dating. They were made for each other. And it's not the focus of the story anyway like you said
It was when I reread Order of the Phoenix recently and I got to the scene at Christmas. Harry is scared he is being passed by Voldemort and hides away from everyone. Ginny is the one that pulled him out of that funk. She reassured him that he’s not being possessed and reminds him he isn’t the only one that suffers from a connection to Voldemort (Ginny was literally possessed in Chamber of Secret). That’s the point where I realised their relationship really was built up from earlier books, and the point I concluded they were meant for each other.
I think Fred and George reading about Willy Wonka would have inspired them to make their own joke candy following a similar formula to Wonka's. Voldemort, Snape, and Harry could most certainly be reincarnations of the Peverell brothers.
I like your Joke shop inspiration theory... Reincarnation is not a part of the wizarding world though, as there is a journey beyond death, and ghosts also exist...
Interesting theory but we already know that Harry and Voldemort are related to the peal brothers so it's possible snipers to like his dad or his mum his dad since his mum I think, but it could be one of his ancestors or something like a third cousin or
The interesting thing about that is that lately it was brought to my attention that some details of Harry Potter-books have similarities to Roald Dahl's books.
@@sawanna508 Does make me wonder what it'd be like for some of the Wonka characters and HP characters to interact. Veruca and Draco would probably be immediately at each other's throats.
Another thing which debunks the theory that the Dursleys treated Harry so horribly is because he's a horcrux is even before he came to live with them, Petunia pretended she didn't have a sister, and glared daggers at Vernon when he mentioned Lilly and Harry (book readers only would know about this).
The Ron seer thing. Wouldn't mind that being true. It'd be funny that Ron wants to stand out, have something unique, and his genuinely rare talent is ultimately unnoticed.
Rowling didn't say the death theory was canon. She said that it is the only theory that she really liked and that it was well written and well thought out.
I actually had the theory in my mind about Mrs.Norris but for me I always thought that she was an actual witch who tried to become an animagus but somewhere down the line she messed up and the ritual back fired causing her to be a cat permanently. Maybe Filch was a close friend/lover ( maybe she was the only person who was kind to him) who knew about it and took her in hence why he is so protective over her
20:44 Ron aka the so called Time Traveling Dumbledore would have never been fooled by the likes of Peter Pettigrew aka Scabbers in his rat animagus form. Ron is not Dumbledore period.
13:42 Good point! Also, I remember you said in a video about Voldemort once that the reason he is unable to feel or understand love is because he was conceived with his father being under the influence of a love potion. So if Ginny HAD given Harry a love potion before they were married, wouldn't all three of their children also not have the ability to understand/feel love by that logic?
That's what Dumbledore said about Tom, but it's kinda bullshit knowing Tom's childhood, his cruelness, and his eager for knowledge and power, he doesn't have time for that.
I don't agree with the not being able to feel love part. It's bulls-. There are loads of kids born from arranged marriages out and in-universe. They still feel, don't they. Some people are just sociopaths.
Actually, there is another theory that expands on this one. Voldemort was conceived without love, but the reason he can’t feel love is something else. When Tom left Merope, she started suppressing her magic, which may have led to the creation of an Obscurus. She would still be pregnant with Voldemort, which means that maybe the Obscurus latched itself onto Voldemort. An Obscurus only wants to destroy, and love is the opposite of that. So, destruction is basically part of Voldemort, hence he can’t feel love. The Super Carlin Brothers have a video on it.
10:20 now a theory i have is that harry heightens the emotions of those around him. Not just negative emotions, its why the trio got so close because the sense of comrade was elevated. It’s why his enemies hate him, but his friends love him.
I believe that Ron is Albus theory was created before we knew the backstory of Dumbledore, hence not very detailed. Although the events of Ron leaving were added on later.
Yeah, there's no way Ron is Dumbledore, since Dumbledore was examined by the same wizard who examined Harry in one of his O.W.L.'s, so they cannot be the same person.
Actually it does make sense, that Crookshanks was the Potters' Cat because, he probably ran from the aftermath of James and Lilly's murder, and someone months later found him and decided to sell him to the pet menagerie in Diagon Ally. It is easy to forget who had owned the same pet before the currant owner and it is too much to be a mere coincidence that Crookshanks have been in residence of the pet menagerie almost as long as "Scabbers" have been living with the Weasleys.
The problem with the Crookshanks being Potter's cat theory is that Sirius mentioned during the Shrieking Shack encounter that it took some time for him to gain Crookshanks' trust after they started interacting. This implies that they hadn't met before the Prisoner of Azkaban year, and it was only after they built the trust that Crookshanks started actively helping Sirius catch Scabbers specifically because he knew who he was then. So, basically, Crookshanks would not have known Sirius before that year(especially all the way back at the the Potter's house over a decade ago), plus, he never had any meaningful interactions with Harry either (I'm sure he'd have instinctively recognized his old master upon seeing him again).
This can be argued. It is possible the Potters got the cat just before or after the fidelious charm was placed, so that Sirius and the cat would not have known each other. But the cat would still know about Animagi because of James transforming when he would be bored... The cat also seems to have a slight bonding with Harry in the books (although that could simply be because him and hermione are quite close in the 3rd book) so that could be that instinctual recognition.
@@ambiverter Whether Crookshanks could recognize an Animagi or not is kinda irrelevant, because the idea stated in the theory is that Sirius and Crookshanks knew each other before, when the events of the Prisoner of Azkaban imply that they didn't. Furthermore, Sirius explained to Crookshanks who Scabbers really was, so Crookshanks would not have gone after him right from the start specifically because he was an Animagi or because Crookshanks knew who he was. Also, when you read through the book, Crookshanks barely had any bonding with Harry at all. The biggest bonding he had was with Sirius, so if there was any instinctual recognition, I'm sure he'd have hung around Harry more.
I've got friends who don't know anything about Harry Potter but love the hot take-ness aspect of the 'Ronbeldore" theory and it's insufferable haha. Biggest flaw to me, time travel 101 is to never encounter much less speak to yourself. Dumbledore even tells Harry and Hermione that.
That theory was created before the last book, so before people knew anything about Dumbledoors past. Still doesn't make the teory any more true, but you can understand how people think at least
The rule about don’t encounter yourself when you time travel is I think, because if u saw yourself, you’d panic and might end up killing your past or future self and not for anything else. Hermione explicitly states this in PoA.
@@ShriyaditaSSYeah exactly, and so Ron wouldn’t panic seeing himself because he doesn’t know Dumbledore is supposed to be him. That’s not a great disproof of the theory. Of course this theory is long disproved now that we know Dumbledore’s past, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted.
@@SJ-di5zu The statement wasn’t meant to disprove the theory actually. And I feel so bad for being born way after the books were released. I never got to live those moments of suspense, avoid spoilers and discuss theories. And worst of all, I watched the movies first 😭
With the Harry imagined it theory Rawling said she would never write it, but also said its entirely plausible, and the _Harry being love potion-ed by Ginny_ theory seems to be a theory based more by people who either only watched the movie, watched the movie first, or Harry/Hermoine shippers who (as genio below says) watched the movie first.
I find it quite less plausible, because 1. The story starts with the death of his parents, etc. Why elss would he be at his aunt's? With the dreams of flash of green light? 2. Why would he dream a story where so many of his loved ones die or suffer? Sirius, Dumbledore, so many students?
@@ambiverter I think those people assume the dream started at the beginning of chapter one, but I don't know as I don't favor the theory myself. Personally even that way doesn't work for me because I've never dreamed where I'm not in it. In dreams the people dreaming are the star in all moments. That's not 100% the case in Harrt Potter. It's not always his perspective in the books and movies.
Dumbledore 100% planted the Weasleys at King' Cross for Harry to meet. At that point in the story nobody knows if Harry is "good" or potentially open to going down the dark path. It's also not a coincidence that Ron talks up Gryffindor and poops on Slytherin on the train ride. If Harry faced the sorting hat with no preexisting opinions about the houses he would have been put in Slytherin and Dumbledore absolutely does not want Harry in Slytherin.
@@bethanyjohnson8001 Hagrid the person that should have nothing to do with introducing a muggle raised to the wizarding world. Could make a case that he broke the statute of secrecy even going into the muggle world.
Is this about that one theory where Dumbledore planned everything? Cause the implications make Dumbledore seem way more conniving and untrustworthy of others than he already was
Another thing to add to the Dumbledore chocolate frog theory, when the ministry turned on him and Harry, he said that he didn't care what they did to him as long as the didn't take him off the chocolate frog cards so the theory makes alot of sense
The dursleys hated Lily and James prior to raising Harry. Petunia may have still loved lilly but it's pretty clear how much Vernon hated the whole family from the first chapter.
Mr and Mrs Evans loved and preferred James Potter (who they found amusing and charming) a lot more than they did Vernon Dursley, and this only exacerbated Petunia's resentment and jealousy of her sister Lily even more. What are your thoughts on that?
They also talked/thought bad about Harry before he lives with them. The people who invented that theory must not know that we see the first chapter of Harry Potter from the perpective of the Dursleys.
Regarding the theory about Dumbledore planning the introduction to the Weasleys, the Super Carlin Brothers did an entire video series about how Dumbledore basically orchestrated most of Harry’s life. *** Idea: Reaction video?
I actually like that theory even though I was resistant in the beginning. I still feel like the 9 3/4 thing could just be like when u ask a kid a question like trying to make them happy that they know the answer. “Ok which way do we turn to go to Grandma’s house”.
Even I saw the super cut of SCB Dumbledore’s big plan. Hose theories cleared so many doubts I had. And yes, that question about the platform is something you’d ask a kid, but why would Molly ask Ginny about it so loudly in a station filled with Muggles? That theory that Dumbledore planned it makes perfect sense. It’s like Molly’s playing a game with her children and then alerting Harry to another Wizarding family in one go.
@@ShriyaditaSS maybe because Ginny is a child and usually parents like to make sure their small children know important info about the world I remember being that age and having to have things repeated to me multiple times so I don't even understand why people would question something like that when it has such an occums razor type of answer Honestly a lot of their theories ignore the obvious answer in favor of some complicated head canon that technically can't be disproven or proven without confirmation from the creator
Something else that might support the potters cat theory is that the cat in the books was always super friendly around harry and would even cuddle in Harry's lap, the point to this was that crookshanks remembers harry from when he was just a baby and that might lead to crookshanks to feel more comfortable with harry
Ginny can't have used a love potion on Harry, because in the seventh book Harry still has feelings for her when searching for horcruxes, because he keeps looking for her name on the marauders map and wondering if she's thinking about him as well. She can't have given him love potions then, because she didn't even know where he was.
Imo the Dumbledore card thing may accually be a thing. The Death Eaters made "Voldemort" a curse that dispelled every charm and alerted snatchers too your location. Dombledore have shown that he was superior to Riddle in every way (and it's not like the Wizard community frauns upon spying) so why not?
@@alex_dawn rita went out of her way to cause trouble by writing nasty stories calling people insane, and liars. Also writing a bullshit story about Hermione manipulating Harry, and Victor Krum by giving them love potions. Making her a complete scumbag.
The Dursleys and the horcrux thing is disproved in the first chapter of Ps ( Ss) because McGonagal ( Idk how to spell ) tells Dumbledore . “Dumbledore - you can’t. I’ve been watching them all day. You couldn’t find two people who are less like us. And they’ve got this son - I saw him kicking his mother all the way up the street, screaming for sweets. Harry Potter come and live here!” ( Yes I cited this from the book ) and this was before they had even ever seen Harry in person.
I think another thing from the books to disprove the harry affecting the dursley because he’s a horcruxe is that in chamber of secrets, harry was in lockharts offices for four hours but that didn’t seem to affect him.
@@wishbone8027 that still doesn't make sense, because not only are the Dursleys horrible people to everyone around them, not just Harry, but Harry is around Ron and Hermione all the time and they were never affected by him being a horcrux.
there is also the fact they are in a highly magical environment, ie, the castle not in the muggle world. When the three of them are out of the castle, and on the run in the last book it affecting them again
I’m pretty sure JK once said only one time turner ever got to Hogwarts, so if I had to give an in-universe explanation either Hogwarts had longer hours/better curriculum planning (which would be weird bc Percy was still a student when the trio started the school) or all the three boys took some subjects extracurricular and passed the exams anyways. But realistically she probably didn’t think it through.
Percy was in his fifth year (OWL year) during the trio's first year at Hogwarts, so it's probable that Percy didn't take two classes that were scheduled at the same time. (yet still had time for a social life) Yeah, JK probably didn't think it through.
Ron being a seer is so hilarious because people don't understand it's because he has such a logical mind, he is actually reading the PLOT of the books before it happens! Pretty much he is unintentionally breaking the 4th wall and I love it! And yeah Lupin giving the vampire assignment was to throw people off his own werewolfism. And just like with Neville, Ron got better when he got the right wand. Yeah that makes sense.
I agree that Molly probably asked what platform the Hogwarts express started from as a test. But I think it is more likely she wanted to test Ron, since it was his first year of Hogwarts. It would be in character for Ginny to answer a question directed at her older brother.
I’ve heard a theory similar to the one about Dumbledore’s chocolate frog where it claims that the cards were actually what he was using to communicate with the members of the Order of the Phoenix.
Allow me to push back against the ‘wrong wand’ theory a bit. Neville was terrible at magic not until his old wand broke but until Order of the Phoenix when during the DA training sessions he showed drastic improvement. This is proof he really was just that bad, and it wasn’t just his wand. I’m also not convinced his old wand was that bad for him (not perfect, but not that bad either) wandlore is complicated and I think most people have only scratched the surface.
2:14 building on this theory: in the fifth book, when the ministry is discrediting him, dumbledore said he didn’t care what they did as long as they kept his chocolate frog cards
For the crookshanks theory remember when Harry, Ron and Hermione go into the pet shop where she eventually buys crookshanks, crookshanks attacks scabbers which leads him to flee. This is good evidence toward that theory being right.
The problem with the original Dumbledore - Ron theory is that it actually came about around the time of OOTP, before any information about Dumbledore's earlier life really came up. There's actually a very good chance the original poster of the theory has since walked it back, but the community has taken ahold of it. And when you think about it, the fact that the strongest evidence is that they both like candy is pretty lame if you ask me. Seamus Gormon actually has a great video debunking this theory if you want to watch it. Also, my personal favorite theories are: James' change of character in his 7th year came about because of his dad's Dragon pox diagnosis, and him wanting to make his father proud before he died - Voldemort cursed the day of Halloween when he lost his body attempting to kill Harry. In the first year, there's the Troll. Second year, the Chamber is opened. I think Sirius breaks in on Halloween in the third year. In the fourth, Harry's name comes out of the Goblet on Halloween. However, every year proceeding this (aka, after Voldy gets his body back), Halloween isn't really all that noteworthy. - Dumbledore used the Elder wand to repair Hagrid's wand and disguise it as the pink umbrella. - Aberforth spiked the Trio's mead with Liquid Luck before the battle of Hogwarts. - Voldemort intended to make his final Horcrux as Gryffindor's sword, to complete his founders' artifacts set. This is why he waited so long after discovering the Potters' location, and also explains the attack on the Pruitts, as this would be his attempt to manufacture a situation in which the sword may present itself to brave Gryffindors in a moment of need. However, after attacking Harry and losing his body, as it does from time to time, the sword simply disappeared from the scene.
The sword of gryffindor theory has many merits, but we don't exactly know how much time does the sword take to vanish in the absence of a wielder. In deathly hallows, it stayed with the trio for quite some time. In a similar case, the sword should have been found at Harry's house, w(hich would help Dumbledore later in assuming it was meant to be a horcrux.
Also, there can be other explanations as to why Voldemort didn't attack earlier. It is possible that Voldemort never really shared his prophecy with Wormtail, and there is high chance that Snape didn't know Pettigrew was serving Voldemort (why did he believe Sirius Black to be guilty in book3?), so Voldemort might not have really known that the Potters were friend of Wormtail, and here whereabouts might be found from Wormtail.
Some people in the hp fandom act like they never fell in love in their live. For goodness sake, some connections DO happen overtime and sometimes we end up falling in love with people we don’t expect. Also, I have a theory that Harry liked Ginny from the beginning but was so scared of her reactions to him that he blocked it out and let it go when it became a challenge to be with her 😂
Why would he be scared of her reactions? He in fact knew that she had a crush on him... if he had realised his own feelings earlier, before Cho, they would have definitely ended up together
I’ve had a theory that The Half Blood Prince book was actually a gift from Lilly to Snape. Think about it. Snape was never the best potion maker, that was Lilly. It would make sense she would make corrections to the potion book, possibly to help Snape? Perhaps snape wanted to keep Lilly’s book close in the potions classroom.
I think the Ron is a time traveling Dumbledore theory originally came out before the last book was released, which might explain why it is as popular as it is and people don’t go out of the way to debunk it, because the series already did.
In the Snape is a vampire theory, one more evidence is that Weasley twins said that Quirrell’s turban was full of garlic, and that his classroom was smelled strongly of garlic.
That was to, according to him, to keep a vampire that he crossed paths with, at bay. But I don't know if there would be any vampire that is crazy enough to enter Hogwarts. Also he had Voldy by his side.
Neville saw big improvemets in his magical ability in DA when he had his father's wand. For example, only Hermione learned the Shield charm faster than him. Neville only got his new wand at the start of Half-Blood Prince, so I don't think that theory holds much weight. His father's wand clearly worked very well for him. We have to remember that apart from the "wand chooses the wizard" line in the first book, wand allegiance is something JK Rowling pulled out of nowhere in Deathly Hallows to make Harry beat Voldemort. For example, there were countless times a wizard disarmed another wizard in the series before Deathly Hallows. It was never even hinted that those wands changed allegiance, which should have happened based on wandlore. Maybe Neville's dad's wand didn't work for him at first, but they clearly formed an understanding with each other considering his skills in Order of the Phoenix. Neville's growing skills were due to gaining confidence and being determined to avenge Bellatrix for destroying his family, not because of a new wand.
I completely agree with Morgan! Harry and Ginny's relationship was well done in the books and I loved it. And she wasa lot more to Harry than Ron's Lil sister. She was a best friend, amazing person and remarkable Quidditch Player even before Order when he liked her!
I have heared about one more interesting theory: Arthur Weasley may have been under the Imperius Curse during the First Wizarding War. This theory was born in the fourth book when Barty Chrouch Junior does the lesson about the unforgivable curses. It is known that Barty Chrouch Junior especially cast the Cruciatus Curse in front of Neville's eyes to link to his parents. The same goes for Avada Kedavra to link to Harrys parents, as he does it in front of Harry's eyes. When Ron mentiones the Imperius Curse, Barty Chroch Junior says that his dad should probably know everything about that curse and therefore is not the least surprised that Ron knows the answer. He therefore also built a kind of link to Arthur Weasley. Knowing that the fate of Harry's and Neville's parents also happened during the First Wizarding War, it seems possible.
Actually, it might make sense that there is only one painting of Dumbledore for all the chocolate frogs, because in the Philosopher's Stone, on the Hogwarts Express, Harry exclaims that Dumbledore was gone when he looked again. That or it could be there are hundreds of versions of the card, and each one has another painting to disappear to.
I can’t believe people think Ginny gave Harry a love potion. We saw what happened when Ron took one, he was immediately obsessed with Romilda Vane. Harry caught feelings for Ginny but didn’t act on them right away. There was no sign of an obsession just regular feelings.
A harry potter theory that I like was that Voldemort planned on making The Sword of Gryffindor into a horcrux. Voldemort was looking for all 4 founder's artifacts. I'm fairly sure that he would know HOW the sword can be found and then MANUFACTURE a way for the sword to present itself. Considering a large portion of The Order of the Phoenix are Gryffindors it's easy to do. Plus it explains why their is a gap of time from when Voldemort KNEW FOR SURE where the Potters were to when he attacks them. He was looking for his final piece for his person project. As to why to sword wasn't found in the rubble of the Potters home, because the sword can disappear. Voldemort being Voldemort would revell in the fact that he is killing the prophesied "choosen one" in Godric's Hollow, Godric Gryffindor's home and his turning his sword into a horcrux. SuperCarlinBrothers made a whole video talking about it. Explains it much better than me.
If Dumbledore had the ability to travel through the chocolate frog cards would this be true for others ? Many other witches and wizards such as Harry,Ron,and Hermione were on chocolate frog cards, so would they also be able to travel through them? Just something I’m curious about if this theory is true.
I'm pretty sure that the Dumbledore being a time travelling Ron theory is an older one that gained popularity before the last book came out, that being the one to show us Dumbledore's past, and that's why it's so well known. Also yes Crookshanks does go after Scabbers in the pet shop, but I think that another reason to him just knowing that Scabbers was no good is because he's part kneazle. I still like to believe that Crookshanks is the Potter's family cat but I' just adding extra information. Great video as always and I really hop you do more of these unscripted ones, it's really fun seeing your first hand reaction to other people's thoughts and opinions on a series I love.
20:12 The reason I think Harry disliked Slytherin is because of how Draco acted talking bad about Hagrid whom had loved as he took him away from the worst place he could think at the time. When Hagrid explained about the house almost all the witches or wizards who were in Slytherin went bad and the killer of his parents was in that house. He hated it more than before because that person he could not see, talk, or hug his parents and that is why he is in a house where he is hated. ( BTW this is about the books, not the movies and Draco's meeting with Harry was later in the movie )
I heard someone on twitter saying " Ginny fell first but Harry felt harder " which i think it is nonsense and overshadows Ginny fellings and love for Harry and say this why : 1- Ginny herself said she never gave up on Harry and always had hope and just started do go out and see other peeople thanks to Hermione advise and start be herself around Harry . 2- The books are from Harry pov of course we know more about his fellings and thoughts about other people , his views and opinions etc . If the books were from Ginny pov or JK wrote her pov we would knew the details about her fellings for Harry . 3 - the love and dreams and the thoughts Harry had about Ginny specially in book 6 and 7, Ginny most likely had the same thing for him specially dreams of been with Harry intimite and missing him when he was out with Ron and Hermione during the horcrux haunt . Many say she's perfect for Harry ( which is true) but people forget how perfect Harry is for Ginny and how much she loves him and that is a really underrated thing for even Hinny shipers talking about Ginny fellings for Harry and how much she loves him and he is her soulmate nad her best source of happiness and hang out Mostrar citação
There was a line in the 5th book where Fred (or George idk) jokingly said that Dumbledore doesn't care what Fudge does to him as long as he doesn't take him off of the chocolate frog cards. I think it's a pretty promising theory
i didn't know you were going to do this, so here's another one: Harry represents the philosophers stone: Harry has defied death multiple times, mirroring the ability of the stone to give endless life And the color gold is also frequently associated with Harry (Shooting gold flames out of the wand in the Battle of 7 Potters, his polyjuice potion is of color gold, he is a seeker who catches gold snitches, etc etc) and lastly, in alchemy, it is said that the Philosopher's Stone is made from three other stones: a black stone, a red stone, and a white stone. And the first three people that Harry meets after his parents died were Sirius *Black* who checked in on him right after, *Rubeus* Hagrid (Rubeus means red in Latin) who would pick him up and take him on his motorcycle to his aunt. and *Albus* Dumbledore (Albus means white in latin) who would meet him and Hagrid to properly deliver him to the Dursleys and furthermore, Sirius, Albus and Hagrid are probably the three characters that Harry saw the most as father figures
More to the Crookshanks theory. Mrs. Figg, a member of the OotP and probably a friend to James and Lilly, raised Kneasles. I like to think they actually got the cat from her.
The thing is as described in the first book and seen in the movie, Molly did not quite notice Harry Potter as Harry Potter because he had his scar covered and also she was still a little preoccupied in getting the older kids onto platform 9 3/4, on the other hand, she might have recognized him by how similar in appearance to James Potter that Harry was and pretended she didn't, she just didn't want her children to make a big fuss over him; so I think it really was by chance that Harry found the Weasleys at platforms 9 & 10.
"Harry imagined the whole story." -- Unless he was planning to write a series of novels about it, that would be incredibly sad, and it reminds me of an episode of "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer" (S06E17 "Normal Again") where Buffy is in a mental institution and everything in the entire series is just her delusion, and the way that episode ended made it look like that was really the case, that she really was just a crazy girl in a mental institution. I hated the ending of that episode, and seeing "Harry Potter" end that way would have SUCKED and trashed the whole series. Its popularity would have nosedived the moment that book hit the shelves! Rowling would have had to have been a complete idiot to write that, and her publishers would likely have refused to publish it even if she had! "The Dursleys abused Harry because they were affected by Harry being a Horcrux." -- No, they were just abusive assholes. Professor McGonagall watched the Dursleys all day on the day after James & Lilly were murdered, and she told Dumbledore that they are the worst kind of muggles imaginable BEFORE they ever even met Harry. "Ginny used a love potion on Harry." -- Possible, but unlikely. It is possible that Ginny could have used a love potion to get Harry to focus his attention on her for a bit, and then he fell in love with her for real. There's no reason that couldn't be possible. It's what Merope Gaunt hoped would happen with Tom Riddle, but in her case it just didn't work. I have a simpler explanation though. Little Ginny grew up and got smokin' hot. She went from being just Ron's dorky little sister who couldn't even talk when Harry was in the room to essentially being the prom queen/head cheerleader type who also happened to be a star Quiddich player, and Harry noticed. I feel like a lot of the confusion about Harry & Ginny comes from the movies. Their relationship in the movies was awkward as hell. Plus, Hermione is played by an actress who's way too pretty for the role. Ginny is portrayed by an actress who isn't quite pretty enough for the role, and they added a bunch of romantic moments for Harry & Hermione. Why? I don't know, but people seem to forget that, among other things, Harry is a jock. He's the Hogwarts equivalent of the star football player, and Ginny is the hottest girl in school who also happened to be into all the same things that Harry was. They were a perfect match. No love potion was needed. "Crookshanks is the Potter family cat." -- I like it. It works, and Crookshanks went after "Scabbers" the very first time he saw him right there in the pet store! On top of that, Crookshanks immediately started helping Sirius as soon as they met up...because he recognized him as his old family's closest friend perhaps? "Dumbledore planted the Weesleys in Harry's life." -- Almost a certainty. I doubt that he could have arranged Harry & Ron ending up in the same compartment on the Hogwarts Express, but he almost certainly had Molly make sure to run into him at King's Cross.
Some interesting theories, here are some that I have heard: The Weasleys were cursed to be poor The Resurrection Stone, Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak are made from a dead thestral that was killed by the three brothers long ago (it was death that they met on the bridge but the story changed over time). The Elder Wand has no special powers, people think it does which improves their magic. Filch is a poltergeist like Peeves, representing the order of the teacher, hence how he knows so many secret passages, is awake in the day and at night and rarely seems to eat.
hey morgan i really just thought that as jk rolling considers the cursed child (i hate the book) but since she considers it cannon you should line up all the books on one of your shelves then put the cursed child in a trash can that you can see through on your shelf just an idea i think would be funny
I think the biggest thing that people bring up about George being Wonka is that we see Wonka’s office at the end and everything in there has been cut in half. This could signify the loss of his twin/other half
@movieflame I read a theory recently that said, “If basilisk venom can destroy a horcrux, and Harry was the last horcrux… why didn’t the venom destroy the horcrux in Harry when the basilisk bit him in Chamber of Secrets? What are your thoughts on this one?
Harry is a living beeing like Nagini so destorying him means killing him. Had he died from the venom the horcrux would have been destroyed of course but since Fawks heald him he lived on or maybe it would have taken a little longer for the venom to destroy the Voldemort-part in him. That could be an explaination for that problem or it is a mistake by JK Rowling.
In the first book, Harry looks at his Dumbledore frog card, and says "Hey, he's gone!" Ron replies that he's a busy guy, and you can't expect him to stick around all the time. So that theory makes sense. Neville was a possible Chosen One, but Big V decided for himself who would be his ultimate nemesis. Mrs. Norris being a maladictus makes total sense. Harry's status as a horcrux affecting the Dursleys makes some sense because of how we know they affect people, but the Dursely's were the absolute worst type of Muggles according to McGonagall on the night that Dumbledore left Harry on their front step. They were already terrible people. The Willy Wonka theory is just stupid. Ginny was highly desirable for any adolescent boy. She didn't need a love potion to lure in Harry. The attraction was apparent from the 2nd book. For Ron to be a younger time traveling Dumbledore is ridiculous -- he would have been a better student. Full stop. For Rowling to be Rita Skeeter is interesting but wrong. I think that Rita was based on a certain aspect of herself - that of creating a story instead of recording history - but JKR saw Rita as potentially the worst possible aspect of herself as a writer.
What makes no sense about the Ginny theory is that if she did use a love potion to have their kids, they would be born to feel no (nice) emotion but this is false as we see in the (unfortunately) canon cursed child
The thing is, if you want it to, Voldemort's actions can work both ways. Going after Harry could mark the two as equals, but by chosing Harry Voldemort sets up Harry to be the instantly recognizable/famous Boy-Who-Lived. Meanwhile, Neville [essentially] becomes an overlooked orphan raised by a crotchety old woman. 'Marking' Harry marks Neville just as much. Just saying.
Okay, I have a theory. The Cursed Child was written by Rita Skeeter.

I know when they introduced them in the movies they had Dumbledore on the card when Harry looked at it but when he looked up at Ron then back down Dumbledore had disappeared and Ron said something like: "Well he's not just gonna stay around all day" or "he's got other stuff to do"
Was it like that in the books cause I can't remember
We saw Crookshanks go after Scabbers while the trio was in Diagon Alley, long before Sirius would have been able to talk to him, so that suggests that he knew Scabbers were not a good person beforehand. That, he or just found it odd that the guy was posing as a rat.

About the love potion theory :
Harry started falling for Ginny sooner than HBP.
@@occheermommythat was HBP, after Ron and hermione go to do their prefect duties

Reincarnation is not a part of the wizarding world though, as there is a journey beyond death, and ghosts also exist...

Another thing which debunks the theory that the Dursleys treated Harry so horribly is because he's a horcrux is even before he came to live with them, Petunia pretended she didn't have a sister, and glared daggers at Vernon when he mentioned Lilly and Harry (book readers only would know about this).

I actually had the theory in my mind about Mrs.Norris but for me I always thought that she was an actual witch who tried to become an animagus but somewhere down the line she messed up and the ritual back fired causing her to be a cat permanently. Maybe Filch was a close friend/lover ( maybe she was the only person who was kind to him) who knew about it and took her in hence why he is so protective over her
The Lover theory may not hold as eventually, Filch and Madam Pince (the librarian) seem to be in love.
Yes Morgan! Keeping the HP fandom alive with these stellar theories 🔥
20:44 Ron aka the so called Time Traveling Dumbledore would have never been fooled by the likes of Peter Pettigrew aka Scabbers in his rat animagus form. Ron is not Dumbledore period.
Yes
@@ShriyaditaSS I will check out that video. But wouldn't that mean there would be an Obscurus? Somewhere? On or in or around Voldemort?

@@ShriyaditaSS it's also so you don't change your own course of history or set yourself on a path of destruction
@@ShriyaditaSSYeah exactly, and so Ron wouldn’t panic seeing himself because he doesn’t know Dumbledore is supposed to be him. That’s not a great disproof of the theory.

Also Harry Hermione shippers, mainly only ones who watched movies anyways.

Yes and especially Marge was the worst Dursley to Harry and she would clearly not have been affected.
They also talked/thought bad about Harry before he lives with them. The people who invented that theory must not know that we see the first chapter of Harry Potter from the perpective of the Dursleys.

@@ShriyaditaSS oh yeah I think it’s plausible. Glad he did end up doing a reaction video
@@ShriyaditaSS maybe because Ginny is a child and usually parents like to make sure their small children know important info about the world
I remember being that age and having to have things repeated to me multiple times so I don't even understand why people would question something like that when it has such an occums razor type of answer
Honestly a lot of their theories ignore the obvious answer in favor of some complicated head canon that technically can't be disproven or proven without confirmation from the creator
Ron could have been giving him the potion?

Imo the Dumbledore card thing may accually be a thing. The Death Eaters made "Voldemort" a curse that dispelled every charm and alerted snatchers too your location. Dombledore have shown that he was superior to Riddle in every way (and it's not like the Wizard community frauns upon spying) so why not?
Let’s say this, Rita Skeeter wrote the theory that Ginny used a love potion
Oh my gosh! That’s so perfectly horrible
I agree. The whole point is that The Dursleys hadn't even met Harry yet.
I think another thing from the books to disprove the harry affecting the dursley because he’s a horcruxe is that in chamber of secrets, harry was in lockharts offices for four hours but that didn’t seem to affect him.
4 hours vs 11-12 years 🤔
@@wishbone8027 that still doesn't make sense, because not only are the Dursleys horrible people to everyone around them, not just Harry, but Harry is around Ron and Hermione all the time and they were never affected by him being a horcrux.
there is also the fact they are in a highly magical environment, ie, the castle not in the muggle world.
Or, it could've been the same time turner each time. So, only one would've ever entered hogwarts, but it did so at 3 distinct times.
My favourite example of this is when Ron jokes that Tom Riddle got his award for murdering Myrtle
It's always a delight to watch your videos. Keep up the good work Morgan!
Love your unscripted stuff man, don’t worry about glasses and the reflections, you are doing great work.
I don't think Rowling confirmed that the 3 brothers thing was canon but she did say it was her favourite fan theory
I would love to see Morgan react to some of the Supercarlinbrothers harry potter theories
Since you do Percy Jackson as well would it be possible to make a Percy Jackson version
Also, my personal favorite theories are:
James' change of character in his 7th year came about because of his dad's Dragon pox diagnosis, and him wanting to make his father proud before he died
- Voldemort cursed the day of Halloween when he lost his body attempting to kill Harry.
What? Everyone talks about how Snape is a great potion maker. Even Lupin says so.
That is interesting, but we see Lily's handwriting in the letter to Sirius and it is very different to Snape's/the one in the HBP book
@@Gary_Harlow good call! Crazy how a really cool theory can be ruined by those pesky details 😂thanks for pointing that out respectfully haha

Excellent point about wand allegiance!
I completely agree with Morgan! Harry and Ginny's relationship was well done in the books and I loved it. And she wasa lot more to Harry than Ron's Lil sister. She was a best friend, amazing person and remarkable Quidditch Player even before Order when he liked her!
I do enjoy the non-scripted content and hopefully it is also chill and hopefully “easier” to produce for you.
Also, glasses definitely suit you 😊
I have heared about one more interesting theory: Arthur Weasley may have been under the Imperius Curse during the First Wizarding War.
Maybe, but I think he just said that because Arthur8s a member of the Minisstry and they had to handle a lot of those cases back when Voldemort fell.
Also, when you look it up, Dumbledore is a half blood and Ron is a pure blood. They can’t be the same person if they have different blood purity
dumbledore is a half blood? I seem to have forgotten it can you tell me where it says that?
@@tanu1733his mother is said to be a muggleborn in deathly hallows

The “worst” harry potter theory is honestly a question I have never thought of and I honestly never want it answered
Harry pointed out that he started to see Ginny’s confidence grow over time where he began showing interest in her.
I can’t believe people think Ginny gave Harry a love potion. We saw what happened when Ron took one, he was immediately obsessed with Romilda Vane. Harry caught feelings for Ginny but didn’t act on them right away. There was no sign of an obsession just regular feelings.
a. ron had little to no mental defenses.
b. romilda might have used a lot stronger potion.
c. The love potion was old, Slughorn specifically mentioned that may be why he was so obsessed. They were stated to become stronger with time

You made an amazing video again Morgan! I really love these video's where you are giving your opinion!
I heard someone on twitter saying " Ginny fell first but Harry felt harder " which i think it is nonsense and overshadows Ginny fellings and love for Harry and say this why :
1- Ginny herself said she never gave up on Harry and always had hope and just started do go out and see other peeople thanks to Hermione advise and start be herself around Harry .
Many say she's perfect for Harry ( which is true) but people forget how perfect Harry is for Ginny and how much she loves him and that is a really underrated thing for even Hinny shipers talking about Ginny fellings for Harry and how much she loves him and he is her soulmate nad her best source of happiness and hang out

Cant blame em for thinking that if thats true
I would love to hear your thoughts about Hunger Games or Percy Jackson theories
i didn't know you were going to do this, so here's another one:
Harry represents the philosophers stone:
Harry has defied death multiple times, mirroring the ability of the stone to give endless life
And the color gold is also frequently associated with Harry (Shooting gold flames out of the wand in the Battle of 7 Potters, his
polyjuice potion is of color gold, he is a seeker who catches gold snitches, etc etc)
and lastly, in alchemy, it is said that the Philosopher's Stone is made from three other stones: a black stone, a red stone, and a white stone.
And the first three people that Harry meets after his parents died were Sirius *Black* who checked in on him right after, *Rubeus* Hagrid (Rubeus means red in Latin) who would pick him up and take him on his motorcycle to his aunt. and *Albus* Dumbledore (Albus means white in latin) who would meet him and Hagrid to properly deliver him to the Dursleys
and furthermore, Sirius, Albus and Hagrid are probably the three characters that Harry saw the most as father figures
When I hear the Ginny and Harry theory I'm like read the books
What one should do anyway.

More to the Crookshanks theory. Mrs. Figg, a member of the OotP and probably a friend to James and Lilly, raised Kneasles. I like to think they actually got the cat from her.
Thank you Morgan for your support about Weasleys meeting Harry at King's cross- a set up made by Dumbledore.
People just want something bad in Harry and Ginny's relationship to ship Drarry
The thing is as described in the first book and seen in the movie, Molly did not quite notice Harry Potter as Harry Potter because he had his scar covered and also she was still a little preoccupied in getting the older kids onto platform 9 3/4, on the other hand, she might have recognized him by how similar in appearance to James Potter that Harry was and pretended she didn't, she just didn't want her children to make a big fuss over him; so I think it really was by chance that Harry found the Weasleys at platforms 9 & 10.
The prophecy literally has the line "And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal". He chose Harry not Neville. So Harry's the one! Duh!
I love your unscripted videos. I love seeing your personality your so much fun to watch.
Some interesting theories, here are some that I have heard:
The Weasleys were cursed to be poor
The Resurrection Stone, Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak are made from a dead thestral that was killed by the three brothers long ago (it was death that they met on the bridge but the story changed over time).
The Elder Wand has no special powers, people think it does which improves their magic.
Filch is a poltergeist like Peeves, representing the order of the teacher, hence how he knows so many secret passages, is awake in the day and at night and rarely seems to eat.
7:32 and Harry was born on July 31st while Neville was born on July 30th, so Harry beats him there.
hey morgan i really just thought that as jk rolling considers the cursed child (i hate the book) but since she considers it cannon you should line up all the books on one of your shelves then put the cursed child in a trash can that you can see through on your shelf just an idea i think would be funny
Why do people hate harry and ginnys relationship 💀
They only watch the movies
