How Baby KOI FISH Are SELECTED - Koi Selection In Japan [BREEDER GUIDE]

In this video, Japanese Koi breeders from Japan explain how to select baby koi and how to do the selection process. In addition to a detailed explanation, the breeders also show their best Tategoi, or 1-year-old Koi from which they think we be their best koi in the future.
It is no coincidence that a fish like this one is so big and beautiful. Koi breeders in Japan know from a very young age when a fish has potential. A Koi breeder already selects them if they are less than 2 centimeters in size. So you can say that koi breeders are professionals when it comes to selecting their baby koi up to 1 or 2 year old Koi.
So in this video I will introduce you to the Torazo Koi Farm. Both breeders, Tyuyoshi Kawakami will show their best Tosai of this season. He even explain why and how they selected these Koi at their Koi Farm.
It all starts with breeding between 2 parent Koi also called Oyagoi Koi, after the eggs are hatched breeders will start with the first selection rounds at the Koi Farm and later at the mud ponds in the summertime.
