Thanks for the video. I love to see when these Koi masters evaluate and select their koi fish. I try to guess what they looks after - depending on where they throw them. But, but, but. You essentially confuse me when you talk about Gin Rin Tancho Showa about 6:30? I think I see Gin Rin Tancho Kohaku. At least I wouldn't pick Gin Rin Tancho Showa with so little sumi in. Or do I have to consult a doctor because you say something completely different?
I think we are many who have goshiki as a favorite koi. Personally, I'm tired of watching sanke, showa and kohaku they win shows. Kohaku wins most and I'm not a fan of that. Hope that changes in the future.
@@markred3267 of course not they are not really edible and he loves them and works for them he wont eat them he might keep them in his real home and when he runs out of space he will sell more of them
Jo ivo, nive video again! I tought that at this sembetsu stage nothing gets trown away? Isnt it tategoi to grow on, vhq to sell and then the lower grades? Te sembetsu where the bad fish are for the bucket of death is at an earlyer stage isnt it? Greetings jeroen
@@whatintheworld6413 Beni is the Red/Orange on the koi. On Gosanke, Sanke, Showa, Kohaku it is important not to have any on the belly as it may climb its way up when in the mudponds.
Only the Koi that are between 1st and 3month after selection that don’t make it are sold or they die. Its not a secret 😜 thanks for watching and stay safe 🙏

And most of the Koi transported all over the world will die too, due to mis-handling, mis-treatment or just stupid beginners mistakes. Koi are just business products. Unfortunately…. Think of that when you buy these fish.

When he flips the koi over, he is checking for unwanted beni on the bottom. Show fish at dainichi quality will never have beni on the bottom.
