Some good bits of kit there mate. I’ve just upgraded the nx to a freelite 2 Weighs the same as the nx but it’s two man. Do like the msr tents! That bag looks decent! 👌🏼
Great video and review bub, good on you for trying different types of kit and brands. Key point is to have all perspectives done from a real experience 👏🏽 xxx
Saved a lot of weight and still had affordable gear. Nice big 3! Even better it worked on the East Highland Way for ya which is the most important thing.
Very interesting Simon 👌, I like the look of that OMM pack, 2.7KG is an amazingly low weight for the 3 key weighty items. I did enjoy the video and I did hit the like button 👍😁😎
Lee - thank you for partaking in some viewership and for smashing said like button. Yeah it's low weight, pretty pleased with that. Hope you're well boss x
Great base weight and like the features of the OMM but i'm happy with my Exos. Saw quite a few Big Agnus tents being used on the Way but also believe they may have a condensation issue so would love to see a review. Looking forward to seeing how lost you got in the second part of your EHW trip, lol
How tall are you? Being 6'6" I often struggle with stuff being too small for me. I haven't come across the Big Agnes tent so am interested especially if I can reduce my pack weight.
Brilliant video Si and very helpful 👏🏻 😀 What a cool backpack those features are awesome, think you may have sold one to me haha. You did very well there with bringing your weight down, looks like you have learnt where to shave off the grams from your previous multi day hikes maybe? Thanks mate loved it 👍🏻👍🏻 ATB.... Chris ✌🏼

Nice to see your big 3, I'm looking at getting a lighter pack in the new year, think Ive made a decision on the Exped Lightning 45 👍
nice mate, I've not heard of that one. Good R value?
@@SimonOutdoors The Exped Lightning is a pack, you need to check it out, its about 1.1kg 👍
@@outdooradventure4590 awesome 👍🏻 will def check it out

I’m impressed with how light you have got it down 😀 mines defo a lot heavier lol
lol, this was rare for me! Def with the EHW trip in mind! Thanks for watching, Si
I have the Vango Ozone 40, which is a Levity knock off for less than half the price and only slightly heavier. Very happy with it.
I need to check that one out Martin, thanks for watching mate. Si
Very useful
Thanks Ian 👍🏻
Hey si, Where's part 2 of the Highlands adventure?
Hi Adam, it's in production. Should be out in the first part of this week. Si

Hi Sam, I'm 6'5. I think you might be ok in it. Also the Fjallraven Abisko is really long, but difficult to sit up in! Cheers, Si

Cheers Chris, yeah I think on the longer hikes you really feel the weight so was keen to get the weight down as much as possible! Si
Nice one Simon. What was your base weight for your full kit? Atb gordon
Hi mate, I think sub 8kg with the big three so light. I didn't measure the whole lot though mate
@@SimonOutdoors decent weight for an autumn multi day. Always tricky outside of summer cos there is so many “maybe’s”
@@whenigotothemountains1203 agree there Gordon, thanks for the comments 👍🏻
that key clip. could be useful lol
Lol! They should have a wallet clip! Cheers mate, Si
where is my backpack? In that colour how did you lose it? haha
Haha, I wanted something that looked like a beacon!
All that gear is far too expensive I take a heavier sleeping bag and a mat I might get a pad next for next year.
thanks James, more suited to multi-day hikes. I personally don't want to carry a ton of weight on the longer hikes, Si
