As someone in my 40s, I don't wear hats unless it's very cold outside, and then it's the typical "tea cozy" hat that doesn't have "front" and "back". Or a knitted wool hood, sometimes. Those are nice. On the other hand! The one in the video is probably in her early 20s. I don't think guys 30+ aren't the target demographic, here.
As pointed out, the advice given by the girl is pretty much for boys still in high school or university. Courtney's advice is so much better than this high school girl.

The most attractive men , I've seen, are those who play to their own aesthetic strengths. So maybe he wears a tailored jacket that highlights his great posture and shoulders (this one always gets me). Or maybe he styles his hair in a way to draw attention to his beautiful eyes. Play to your strengths and style yourself in a way that makes you feel great. In this way you radiate a unique essence that draws just about anyone in. I remember seeing a man who wore this pretty average looking blue shirt but when you looked at him, but you saw his brilliant blue eyes 👀 💙 . Very smart approach, the shirt highlighted his eyes. PS: Can we please not go down that tired old rabbit hole about "double standards", this is a video specifically about some womens thoughts. People are allowed to like what they like. If it's not for you, that's absolutely fine, just keep it moving. Just like shopping, take what you want and leave what you don't.
I remember watching an interview with Chris Cornell, where he said he wasn't very popular with girls as a kid. But one day he was standing next to his locker holding drum sticks, and suddenly these girls wanted to talk to him. He said his opinion of women was massively lowered by that, because of how stupid he thought it was. That's pretty much what I thought watching TikTok girl.
It’s not stupid though it shows he has a skill and is a musician… makes him more interesting it’s human nature. Yeah you can fake it but how long will that last.
When I was in my 30s, my wife pointed out that guys who are wearing baseball hats are probably going bald. If you have a good head of hair, and are at an age where guys might be losing their hair, do not wear a hat if it is not necessary.
My first job required you to wear a hat as part of the uniform... So now having the "privillage" of not being forced to wear a hat I see it as a luxury. Sort of like how back in the 1700's if you had a tan it made people think you were a laborer vs a more pale person that would be more well to do. So hat's to me are like dirty farmer jeans. No thanks. I'll only wear one if I have really bad bed head and I'm going to step out real quick. Another thing I don't like about them is there are a ton of guys who are weird about always having to wear one. When I was house shopping and looking through some homes some had like a wall of caps just hung by the door like they were important must have car keys before you left the house. It's very rednecky, insecure, stubborn to change,... odd. If you're butt naked but still have to have a hat on...there's something going on with that. lol Like...why. It's weird. Like wearing socks to go swimming kind of weird.
Not necessarily. That's pointless. I shave my head to zero, but need hat to protect it in the sun. I dont wear in winter etc. Regardless, you need hat to protect from yourself from sun
I wear backwards hat. I'm a doctor and I've read books that you wouldn't even recognise the language of it. I rent a BMW, go vacations, wear yellow shirt with backwards hat. All the time.
I’m 29 and still do not understand the backwards hat. The function of a hat is to have the bill provide shade. If I wear a hat (which is not often) I feel better wearing it properly. I guess I’m in the minority.
its to hold your hair if its longer than 3 inches, feels better on head because the bill often just sticks to your forehead and backwards theres no structure so its more comfortable, and some people just look good with it on backwards its a style if you need sun protection just flip it around or wear glasses that are better for that anyway.
Courtney, how about a video tailored to men who already have their life and goals figured out, on how to actually approach and get the women they want. It seems that you have made multiple videos a year, every year, on what women want, how to dress and style, etc.. but you havent made an approach video in a while. Again, this video would be for the men that are already physically fit, financially stable, and ready to put it altogether.
Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.
1. cope 2. more cope 3. even more cope you'll just end up being his betabux for money while she cheats on you for attractive guys , face frame and height is everything
The more I see of these reaction videos the more I'm inclined to just say disregard *anything* from a woman if she's on tiktok. Seriously, that platform is total trash.
1. Be attractive. 2. Don't be unattractive. 3. In conjunction with 1 and 2, wear baseball caps backwards, wear chains, wear hoodies with strings tied up, read books in public, have a dog and wear a watch. Follow these steps and you'll be able to bag any woman on planet earth... 🙄 Basically - it's still all about looks. None of these things matter if the girl initially doesn't like you physically either by your face or your physique.
No, it’s NOT “all about looks”. Some average looking guys are MUCH more successful with women than good-looking men, because they are more normal, outgoing, have more interesting traits, and know how to interact with women better than the “good-looking guy”.
*It’s fascinating how small changes like a well-fitted outfit or a fresh haircut can drastically enhance attractiveness. Confidence also plays a huge role - when you feel good about yourself, it shows.*
As a recently single older guy I can confirm the whole reading thing. I'll go to a bookstore because I'm always reading least 2 books and much younger women come up and start conversations with me. The other suggestions in the TikTok sound like nonsense to me. Good luck with all that.
What kind of books? I like books about finance but I'm not sure that's a woman magnet. Also, are you very attractive for your age in general, which may be what's causing younger women to approach you??
I mostly read books like "Central Banking & The Enslavement of Mankind" "Mein Kampf", "Democracy The God That Failed", etc... Pretty sure my interest in reading would scare the hoes
Man, why am I even watching these videos? None of these tips will help unless they already find you attractive. "Wow, at first I just thought he was nothing special, but then I noticed he tied the strings on his hoodie, and now I can't take my eyes off him!" Be so for real. Eat well, exercise, keep a positive attitude. Clearly I'm doing a poor job at the latter. Everything else is just window dressing. Anyone else have it drilled into their head that men are the ones focused on visual details? Most of Courtney's videos seem to counteract that. If minor accessories are what ends up drawing a woman to you, what substance could she possibly have?
Because most of her videos and takes are just pandering to the 5's because she makes money off of this. It's basic grifting and doesn't apply to the real world.
Yeah, also I think it's telling that she said "from a 6 to a 10" instead of something like "from a 3 to a 7" because women pretty routinely rate ~80% of men as below average attractiveness. She isn't talking about guys who are in the 60th percentile, she's talking about guys in the 85th percentile.
@@Swearengen1980 I get what you're saying. Obviously it's the job of anyone on this platform to get views. That being said, I think ultimately she has good intentions. She does give a lot of practical advice that, however elementary it may seem, (keep up hygiene, put in effort, etc) a lot of men and women could benefit from. There's clearly a growing disconnect between her bitter audience and the relatively surface level tips she continues to give. Personally I think it'd be nice to feature more of a dialogue with other people as frankly, a married woman doesn't have the perspective of a single man struggling to date.
Happy hump day 🐪 Courtney! I'm 37 and I barely wear jewelry nowadays because I don't go out as much so the most I wear for jewelry is my watch, which I have 2 watches with one being a black Emporio Armani watch and a stainless stell Fossil Blue watch. A humble woman like you is what alot of men want to have for a relationship and I hope all will go well with your marriage to your husband. I don't really wear hats nowadays but I did because I used to play baseball when I was a kid. I am someone who is calm and mature even when I'm in complex situations so I have that advantage in me. I don't care for status in women, and I like to see women who are humble and good people
I see what you mean dude. Been there. So this airhead finds you attractive, terrific (shrugs). Thing is, now you still have to entertain this thing if you want to take it further. That's the drag. The hell with attractiveness (never made a difference to me, weather they liked how I look or not) Get one that's smart enough and willing to engage in and carry conversations, and yeah, let the ones that just want an entertainer at their disposal rot. Those are dead-ends.
I stopped listening to what women say they like in a guy a few years ago and I’m just myself, they can vibe or dip, don’t matter. I’m not changing for anyone
Hello Courtney, first off I would like to say that I absolutely love your content. Very positive and insightful. I looked at when you joined UA-cam and it was on my birthday back in 2018!!! Go figure❤ And I grew up Cleveland. I stay in Euclid now though. I love your good advice because I can be naive with women at times. I'm gaining more confidence learning from you! Thanks again❤
I don't agree on points 1 to 3, but point 4 (reading) is a yes from me. I read for enjoyment on my side, not to make myself more interesting/attractive. 😅 Women reading in public definitely catch my eye. It's also a great conversation starter. ☺️
Attitude is the most important thing. I wear sandals because I'm not in a rush, and I like the feeling of nature. I'll walk on the grass. Let's say a bunch of guys are wearing baseball caps backward. I show up, and I'm confident and polite to the women and men. I don't wear a baseball cap. The women find me sophisticated. I go to an event in sandals, and the guys are wearing dress shoes and socks. The women find me casual and confident. Let's say a woman says, "You must really love sandals." I say, "I do." I look at her calmly, smiling. She says, "Aren't your feet cold?" I go, "A little." She looks at me like I'm stupid. I say, "Life has many challenges." She'll probably laugh. If you have a good reason for doing what you are doing, then you can make it attractive. Women love confidence, and they will test you.
I’ve noticed that a large portion of videos on UA-cam talking about this subject tend to give mixed and controversial advice. Some claim you have to stop being a “nice guy” without saying why. Some say you need to be an “alpha male” which basically means being dominant and controlling. Neither of these are who I want to be. Thankfully, Courtney doesn’t give that type of advice, and rather focuses on positive behaviors. It might not be easy, but it’s best to just be the best version of yourself, and naturally, women will start to gravitate towards you. Stop putting women on a pedestal, and start treating them like people, and you will eventually find someone special.
3. Men who are balding - We don't wear them backwards. That just makes you look like an idiot. And yeah, I look like an old bald guy in a baseball cap. It's better than looking like an old bald guy with heat stroke and a horrible sunburn.
I can't lie, trying new haircuts is something that I found to get girls looking my way. Whether you letting your hair grow out or buzzing it all off, playing around with your hair is fun and gets you compliments
Thanks for the video. The book thing worked well for me after about 20 years old. The teen years were tough, no one wanted to date the "book worm." But once those nesting impulses began to kick in, there's something about a physics major with a book in his hands ...
@@DDD11239 Does the Bible count? Other than the assigned readings from courses, most of the reading I did was the Bible. But that was usually at home. While sitting somewhere on campus or nearby or riding the bus, I was usually reading from a class assignment. In English, that was the usual selection from British and Americal lit from Shakespeare to the present. In Philosophy, it included Plato's dialogs as well as Descarte and Heidegger.
Backwards hat only if you are under 25. It is kid stuff. I got to the "tie the hoodie strings up"WHAT? Is she serious? I think this must be a prank video. Guys; make sure if you are "reading in public view" for this intended effect, hold the book right side up.
Best advice was at 4:20 , they're going to change their likes in their twenties...they're going to do that from 20 to 35 easily. Watch out for 30th bday too...that mid life sets in and they either become strong warriors in marriage or run for FOMO on the party and chase life.
A very interesting video. Thank you. Another thing I have heard women find attractive in men is one who is excited about something or hobby or business venture he is perusing - a man with purpose! I find it very attractive when a woman is able to cook and bake and has grown a beautiful garden. One of my music students complimented me on my garden. She said .."A mans character can be defined by his habits." True words those and absolutely apply to women also.
I heartily agree that, most often, when people say that they find something attractive, they mean that they want to see someone they already like wearing or doing this thing. I figured that out sometime ago, and it’s one of the most important insights that I’ve ever achieved. Voracious, public reading, I can’t guarantee that they have ever landed me girls, especially this young. On the contrary, I find that it’s usually someone who already likes you that takes notice.
Yes Courtney, I agree with you about points you mentioned regarding what makes guys more attractive! I would also add that a guy wearing a nice fragrance… hmm…. chef’s kiss! 👌🏻
This tiktoc girl is describing an 18yo cartoon character. If you want to be respected and admired by work choligues, women, friends, whatever, learn how to dress your age, exercise, work hard at your job, read a book, be kind, and be confident in who you are. Tada.
Oh lord why are you reacting to a girl that looks like she’s still in school. You can do better Cortney than try to justify someone else’s subjective opinions…
i think its weird how many dudes come to this comment section just to scream out "THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU ARE ALREADY GOOD LOOKING OR 6FT TALL! OTHERWISE NONE OF THESE THINGS WORK!!" Like chill bros... This pity party behavior is so embarrassing, and annoying lol
It's not a pity party if the advice does not work. If a guy is a sub-5, wearing a backwards cap and a gold chain would just make him look like that Steve Buscemi meme that says, "How do you do, fellow kids?"
@@Billy-bc8pk That is why it's good to have a comment section under the video, so that there can be added information given by the community, that might be more helpful. I see many comments here about cologne and basically the power of scent. That comment, I feel, applies more generally. Even just a good laundry fabric softner scent is intoxicating. As a woman myself, I know that scent for me is more important than appearance. But maybe that's just me.
As a rule that never fails, NEVER listen to what any woman says. Woman lie like they breath. Only believe their actions. Actions never lie. Watch what they do, that is your answer, always. Any man OR woman taking advice from a woman is doomed to failure.
Well, let me ask this then: what do women think of a guy who looks like a real-life male anime character? The ones who are the studs driving the female anime characters wild.
@@richardlaszcz762 I get what he's asking, though. Because the real-life equivalent would be a K-Pop star. But I'm curious what women actually think of guys like that who are not celebrities? Do they actually think they are handsome/cool? I don't encircle myself within the channels that cover whether women find those guys attractive or not, so I am actually curious about that myself.

Sit up straight in your gamer chair and have good posture while ignoring said woman all day while you continue playing your video games. We already knew this.
As a reader myself, the advice to read to be attractive is pretty funny and bizarre, especially when it’s listed next to things like “backwards hat” and “chain”. Reading, despite how it’s considered nowadays, isn’t an accessory that you can just put on one day and become a reader. The funny thing with this “advice” is that no one will read if they don’t enjoy it, and many, many people don’t enjoy it. It takes a large amount of time and effort, and so despite it being one of the most “attractive” hobbies, most men and women won’t do it because it is such a difficult activity. Better advice imo is to pursue and develop hobbies that you personally find enjoyable and meaningful.
Some things I would add to this list: 1) Athletic and lean 2) Knows more than one language 3) Remembers your birthday 4) Likes to read books, specifically fiction (very little non fiction) 5) Knows muay thai and jiu jitsu 6) Can sing and write music 7) The way he places his hand behind the passenger car seat when he is reversing.

30 seconds into her video and the girl contradicted herself -- a baseball hat is a physical item, which you must adorn. She said her suggestions won't involve changing one's appearance..
Most of these things will more or less only make you appear more attractive if you're...already attractive So to get there see her other vids on improving yourself to the best of your ability: physical fitness, optimize your skin and hair, expand your interests etc
Something I’ve been finding is a great combination of jeans and cowboy boots will make the ladies go crazy. It does help to have a nice cologne on too.
@@Sara-jd4gi I think everybody loves clean smelling laundry -- especially clean smelling sheets that still radiate a bit of heat after coming out of the dryer. Makes it easy to snuggle up and fall fast asleep that way. It's a universally accepted sense of coziness (I should think).
Definitely good to not live in a bubble! The chain and the book are worth considering for me. The baseball cap and the hoodie aren't really my style. But I doubt I would have considered any of them if not for this video and that TikTok.
Stick with the standards: Stand up straight, while still walking a little loosely. Throw your shoulders back. Be in shape regardless of your height. When meeting a girl you might be interested in, do the previous plus: don't crush her hand when you shake it, but be sorta firm. There is a difference between a guy shake and a girl shake. Keep holding it for a second or two while you make eye contact, but not too much longer. Ask her a question including her name right away.
OK, questions: 1. If I tie up my hoodie I'm concerned girls may not be able to see my chain. Would replacing the draw cord with a chain be an acceptable solution? 2. While reading a book with a dog in my lap, and my sleeves rolled up, of course, I am concerned my watch could snag its fur. Any advice?
1) The ONLY time by cap is going backwards is if I'm playing catcher behind home plate... 2) NO chain for me. A watch and single ring (maybe cufflinks if the shirt calls for it) is enough for me... 3) Hoodie with the STRING tied up???... What am I ...The Uni-bomber??.... 4) Read a book???... Well, of course... but if I'm in public, same with my phone (hint, hint), I try to stay engaged with my environment... It's called 'situational awareness'... I'll read at home, thank you.

what if the sun is behind you?
its to hold your hair if its longer than 3 inches, feels better on head because the bill often just sticks to your forehead and backwards theres no structure so its more comfortable, and some people just look good with it on backwards its a style if you need sun protection just flip it around or wear glasses that are better for that anyway.
Logical conclusions isn't a strong side of modern women
Courtney, how about a video tailored to men who already have their life and goals figured out, on how to actually approach and get the women they want. It seems that you have made multiple videos a year, every year, on what women want, how to dress and style, etc.. but you havent made an approach video in a while. Again, this video would be for the men that are already physically fit, financially stable, and ready to put it altogether.
No one in their late thirties and beyond should ever wear a backwards hat
What are you talking about? You're too old for it when you reach your late teens.
@@nektulosnewbie I get that but I'm in my late thirties so I related it to my age
If I saw anyone over the age of 18 wearing a backwards hat, I assume they're permanently stunted as a teenager.
If I'm riding my ATV I turn my hat backwards to keep it from blowing off.

I'm keen on meeting the counselor you're talking about. What steps should I take?

The more I see of these reaction videos the more I'm inclined to just say disregard *anything* from a woman if she's on tiktok. Seriously, that platform is total trash.
Disregard anything any woman says regarding dating advice, including Courtney. You don't ask a fish how to catch a fish, you ask the fisherman.
Basically - it's still all about looks. None of these things matter if the girl initially doesn't like you physically either by your face or your physique.
Yup, it's like that old Tomb Brady skit on SNL.
And a iphone😂
No, it’s NOT “all about looks”. Some average looking guys are MUCH more successful with women than good-looking men, because they are more normal, outgoing, have more interesting traits, and know how to interact with women better than the “good-looking guy”.
Definitely not any woman
@@niccolopaganini1782
Not even “most” women, heck, not even a significant minority of women.
I love the cringe face you gave when she said "Wear a backwards baseball cap." lol
Took the words right out of my mouth
No cap 💪🤣💪
"Wear a backwards hat."

I thin she is trolling and/or doing satire. The things she said were ridiculous.
I don't care for status in women, and I like to see women who are humble and good people
"backwards hat" laughed my ass off 😂

She's definitely still under 25. No way women in my age range like that young F-boy stuff. The book reading is valid though for bookworm girls.
Im 26, in good shape, women are too much effort these days. Not worth it anymore. Tired of being ghosted, left on read, or rejected. Let them rot.
Eh. If a very attractive women were to approach you, you would talk to her.
@@DDD11239 Nah, you’re just a moron.
The same with guys. Unless you’re a female that ‘gives it up’ easily, you’re dumped and called boring. The dating culture is just toxic.
All women are so lost and rotted in this age. They have no possibility of improving not even being born again.
Quiet mysterious wins every time, power of not responding
Hello Courtney, first off I would like to say that I absolutely love your content. Very positive and insightful. I looked at when you joined UA-cam and it was on my birthday back in 2018!!! Go figure❤ And I grew up Cleveland. I stay in Euclid now though. I love your good advice because I can be naive with women at times. I'm gaining more confidence learning from you! Thanks again❤
She basically wants a guy who dresses like it’s 2001 and in the band Sum 41…
Sum 41...now, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time...a _long_ time.
She’s in too deep
I enjoy watching your genuine reaction more than what she's talking about.

Waring a hat backwards and reading a book are unrealistic standards to you ? 😂
Stop crying
Fam get off the internet unless you want to date an idiot that talks to herself with her phone in front of her face.
Everything she brings up is so superficial
Let's say a woman says, "You must really love sandals."
I say, "I do." I look at her calmly, smiling.
She says, "Aren't your feet cold?"
I go, "A little."
She looks at me like I'm stupid.
I say, "Life has many challenges."
She'll probably laugh.
Guys who wear baseball caps:
1. Teenagers
2. Fucc bois
3. Men who are balding
4. Guys out of the military
5. Guys with to much hair and use it to keep it out of his face.
3 was the only reason I used baseball caps for a time. Then I accepted I was going bald but a few years later had a hair transplant.
Keep the sun out of your eyes? 🤷♂️
3. Men who are balding - We don't wear them backwards. That just makes you look like an idiot.
And yeah, I look like an old bald guy in a baseball cap. It's better than looking like an old bald guy with heat stroke and a horrible sunburn.
That is not even true. Most guys wear their hats backwards, no matter their age.
Read books older than the 20th Century.
Thank you for this public service announcement. If a woman is on TikTok, run.

How To Appear Hotter As A Guy: Be Hot.

why are people still listening to idiots on TikTok for advice? 🙄
I always wear my hat backwards and I know how to read! Yes!
You'll be swatting them off in no time
im glad i got a lil bit of confirmation bias from this video on a Thursday! Thanks Courtney!

Exactly!
True. The women she interviewed were young. She didn't think far ahead.
The chain is similar to the leather jacket. It takes a certain level of confidence to wear that, and gives off a vibe that you have options.
i think its weird how many dudes come to this comment section just to scream out "THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU ARE ALREADY GOOD LOOKING OR 6FT TALL! OTHERWISE NONE OF THESE THINGS WORK!!" Like chill bros... This pity party behavior is so embarrassing, and annoying lol
Yeah it honestly baffles me. If a piece of information shared does not apply to someone, they are not forced to adopt it. So I don't understand it.
@@Sara-jd4gi Because they are looking for advice to help them, not advice that only helps guys who don't need the help.

Some things I would add to this list:
1) Athletic and lean
2) Knows more than one language
3) Remembers your birthday
4) Likes to read books, specifically fiction (very little non fiction)
5) Knows muay thai and jiu jitsu
6) Can sing and write music
7) The way he places his hand behind the passenger car seat when he is reversing.
But if a man tried to tell that to a woman, he would get crucified....
299) 6'5"
300) Blue eyes
301) Trust fund
302) Works in finance
303) Shoots like John Wick
304) Takes me on motorcycle rides
305) Played D-1 football as a linebacker
306) Has long hair like Fabio
307) Wears a man bun with a suit
308) ...
Remembers your birthday?? Is that a major problem with men?
@@eyeinsee No. I don't even like celebrating my own birthday sometimes, it just reminds me how old I feel.
30 seconds into her video and the girl contradicted herself -- a baseball hat is a physical item, which you must adorn. She said her suggestions won't involve changing one's appearance..
Most of these things will more or less only make you appear more attractive if you're...already attractive

OK, questions:
1. If I tie up my hoodie I'm concerned girls may not be able to see my chain. Would replacing the draw cord with a chain be an acceptable solution?
2. While reading a book with a dog in my lap, and my sleeves rolled up, of course, I am concerned my watch could snag its fur. Any advice?
This will make you attractive if you’re a college kid. That’s it 😂
1) The ONLY time by cap is going backwards is if I'm playing catcher behind home plate...
Courtney - Very interesting about men reading a book. I'm curious if you felt the same way when you were in college and saw guys studying textbooks? Because everyone in college reads textbooks. Or does what you are saying only apply outside of a school setting?
