For me. I work remotely. I had to separate work space from personal space. I got a telescoping desk and a walking pad, I don't drink, I eat mainly carnivore and I do extended fasting periods occasionally. I work out 2 to 3 times a week and I also try to average 7 to 10k steps daily with at least 15 minutes outdoors. I do take care of my skin, on a good vitamin regimen and go to the chiropractor. I do still need to focus on getting out and being a little more social. I have no problems being in public but I am also very comfortable at home.
I didn’t expect you to take this approach, but bravo! The key through-line here is to be introspective. Take the time to explore your values and question cultural norms that don't align. Cultivate curiosity. Focus on your own growth, not through toxic consumption or titles, but by engaging in activities that truly bring you joy and letting go of those that don’t serve you. This often requires sacrifice, but it’s a worthwhile journey toward a more fulfilling life.
That is what I love about this channel despite my reservations, its a connection, a community, this is a good thing, kudos to you, you provide a community here where we may have no community, thanks for sharing. i'm a dude, have different perspective.
I really appreciated hearing what you had to say in this video, Courtney. One habit I have formed over the last year which seems to be serving my gut health well, is every day I start by eating a piece of fresh fruit before prepapring a more nutrient substantial breakfast such as poached eggs, because it resets the gut bacteria, flushes toxins, and boosts my immune system. As a British citizen who has experienced how abusive people can become in their behaviour when addicted to alcohol and other drugs, and just how toxic they can be, I decided recently to mostly give up drinking alcohol. I still drink a little bit of wine, beer or whiskey on occasion, but I think teetotal is how I would like to end up in 5 years from now, so I resonated with your section on alcohol strongly.
I am not normal. That is awesome!! Everyone should take the time to listen to this video instead of reacting to the headline. I went in saying I was normal and realized my normal is not the normal of most. Absolutely love this video.
One sense of "normal" is statistically normal: what everyone else does. The other is the sense we mean when we talk about the normal operating range of a piece of machinery: what works best.
Great video as always! Unrelated to this video, on one of your recent style videos you did, I bought the color book and it's great! I also got a pair of Brandy Captains from Thursday as well as a field jacket and some other things. Even though I'm well outside of your target audience as a mid-50's guy I take great value from your style approach. Thank you!
Appreciate your well wishes for us. Wishing those same things for you! 😊 Yes, your wisdom in this area definitely shows. So neat you are into that, and appreciate you sharing the findings of your research with us. ❤ I like how you tied it in to how we look, or our attractiveness, too. I never thought about that before, but it’s true! The mental and emotional and invisible side of things affects the visible and outer appearances! Great stuff, as always. Love the video title, too! Also the “I’m looking at you” with the TikTok scrolling part made me lol 😂
As an extra challenge if you are up for it (and it is safe to do so), try talking to some of the people you pass while walking. Even saying something as small as hello and smiling can brighten your day and theirs.
I don't see anyone as "ugly." Being unattractive is a long way from ugly. Even little things can go a long way toward making you more attractive. If you feel better you are automatically more attractive. New clothes, clean clothes are an easy fix. Good food can help you feel better. There are absolutely NO positive health effects to any amount of alcohol and nothing can make you look older faster. Sleep is when you heal. It is critical to your health and mood to get adequate sleep. Getting up at 5:AM is my very favorite part of the day. This means I need to go to bed with the sun. This has been "normal" for us until only the las few hundred years. Good social skills require a lot of social interaction, but that is much more difficult these days. Nothing is more attractive than really positive social skills. I struggle with this all the time and muse about school days where we didn't have any choice in the matter.
My grandfather on drinking: If you don't start then you don't have to quit. I also find that the early to be early to rise thing is very true. Don't spend all your time doom scrolling at night. Get to sleep.
I love your personality, the respect for all with kindness about how life should be with being loved in a relationship, being able to face challenges with others about how they feel about each other. Main things is eat healthy, exercise, love yourself, partner, enjoy the moment of life, be thankful of god n everything else. Thank you for sharing your thoughts are so true, respect for all to hear about what you think.

That's not true. Men get judged more for not having much of a social life, if anything. Of course, modern society atomizes people, which puts the screws to us.
I am honestly struggling right now. Some of these habits mentioned in the video I could probably do something about, but it will take a lot for me to stop being stuck in these loops. On top of that, I actually cannot financially afford to do a fair bit of the suggestions to work on these issues. I would say managing sleep is the most attainable of the list.

You forgot excessive mirajuana use. I used to be a chronic toker, and my cardio and mental health went to shit. Once I bought my dream bicycle, my mental health and physical health improved drastically. Considering how normal mirajuana has been adopted in our culture people need to know the negative impacts of weed.
@cdog2331 my mental health got so bad that I was having 1-2 panic attacks a year, I was very prone to anxiety attacks even when high, I was prone to being depressed even while high and my addiction was so bad I was just wasting my weekends just smoking dope and watching videos on the weekend. Granted, my peak addiction was nearing the tail end of the pandemic. Now I do smoke occasionally but very infrequently like 1-3 times a month. It's only at karaoke on my junk food days.
My wife let the stay home mom mindset nearly destroy her. Wouldn’t take a shower for 3 days. My job: connecting people on life’s journey. I start out the day with coffee and a biggie size cup of water before any food. It really helps clean out the system before I start my day. Also, taking some quiet meditation for just a few minutes in your closet before you even pee or make your bed first thing really helps you understand that someone loves you always!
*The biggest takeaway here is that confidence in who you are, even if it’s unconventional, is what draws people in. Own those unique traits instead of dimming them down - true attraction is all about being unapologetically real.*

Excellent tips. I go directly to the gym after work to let some steam out and go to martial arts in late afternoon when time needed. I'm not a drinker and proud of it as alcohol can not only destroy your body but also destroy a family relationship which I witness from my family members.
As a depressed trucker, who sits 9 hours daily behind steering wheel, at home being gamer, eating where I just stop, without any sleep regularity, sometimes having 3 weeks of night shift in a row, once a month 5 beers and dinner with friend in pub, without partner, all I thought when I saw the title was "Fucking Normies" XD
I'm probably a bit younger than your typical viewer (I'm only 21), but I just wanted to say thank you for all of the great content. I don't have any sisters and I've always struggled with talking to women, so it's been really good to hear a woman's perspective on things. I had already been going to the gym and losing weight, but your advice on how I dress and skincare have given me more things to consider.
Eight years ago almost I tried almost everything on this list, or at least started on that path. After almost 8 years of changing my diet and working out, finding a community within my gym, getting more sleep, being more active along with being outside. Nothing has changed in my life. Never drank or got into that scene and my entire life has always been picking the hard route. Maybe I need to pick the easy route and try being abnormal.
One thing i did: I got earphones from my sister. I decided to go for a nightly walk while listening to some darkwave one night. One turned to several and i was surprised by how big a difference it made. …and i no longer make those ”old man sounds” when i get out of the couch. And these are brisk walks enjoying some music, no running or anything.
2:05 This is why for processed food that I buy, I always look at the nutrition facts. I do not buy anything high in sugar. It is unfortunate that America has a sugar problem. Stay away from them sodas because 1 serving contains more than 100% DV of sugar. If you really need something sweet, buy something with sugar alcohols, since our bodies do not process those.
Just a reminder being called ‘crazy’ or ‘weird’ for not following societal norms is actually a compliment. It means you’re unique and true to yourself.
I walk my dog every morning while praying the rosary. I go to Tae Kwon Do class on Weds. I cook all my lunches (typically fish). And I go for regular runs.
14:55 I've heard so many people brag about getting up super early, pretty much my whole life. But it's the dumbest flex. Because if that's your regular routine, then either - You're deliberately missing out on sleep, which will compromise every single thing in your life even remotely related to your health. OR You're just going to bed extra early. In which case, who cares?
Follow you own advice who care. They is no rules. You can do what you want. Don't listen to a stupid list that you have to follow, in order to obtain women. Use your critical thinking skills
10:57 I think also that alcohol directly causes dark circles via toxicity. I've always had dark circles since I was a kid - a doctor called them 'allergy shiners'. But I did a 3 day fast 10 years ago, and I could see the dark circles fading from the outside, heading in towards my nose. So I finished the fast and just had the dark area near the tear ducts. Meant to do the fast again and finish it off, but didn't get round to it, lol. I've noticed that since I've gotten in the habit of having a brandy (just one) before bed, the dark circles have come back fully. So time to address that...
I have definitely been trying to not isolate myself and get out and be around people, trying to make new connections. But I'm also an introvert and it is so hard to get out of the house and find things or events that involve a lot of people. Any tips on this would be a big help.
Because i have a neck hernia and some compression damage where they operated. Before i visited dry-needle and physical therapist between 18-22 times a year. Had lots of pain and discomfort. Now i hit the gym 3-4 times a week and have not been back there for 2 years. I have a IT job so sit on my ass a a lot. Hitting the gym made all the difference for me.
See if you can do weighted neck raises as well (with Doctor's approval), with a harness. All your muscles lead to your neck, so it's important to maintain strength.

Some great health/wellness things to talk about: 1) All the benefits of drinking good purified water. (Tap is bad, bottled is bad, filtered is okay, reverse osmosis is the highest quality). Your body is 70% water. I find carrying a metal water bottle everywhere encourages me to drink plenty daily. 2) Mental Health - it is important to take a break from a normal routine and do something you enjoy, or try something new. 3) Relationships / relationship skills - plenty of positive benefits in making an effort every week. 4) Cleaning/tidying your space - it is said that your outward environment living space is an expression of what is going on internally. It's important to tidy your space, get rid of unwanted things, finish projects, and make it feel comfortable. It often causes us to recognize unresolved trauma and the bad habit of putting things off constantly. 5) Therapy - talk things out with a close friend, write your thoughts down, see a counselor, go to church, etc. I think a lot of men today have unresolved grief, and it makes them stuck in a routine they cannot escape alone. Having emotional baggage is not attractive and it's unfair to place it on your future partner.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it was Courtney who once said that alcohol (ethanol actually) is the only drug that makes people ask why you don’t use it. That makes sense. People never ask why you don’t smoke weed or snort coke or drop acid - but if you don’t drink they’ll say : “Really? Why not?”. Very strange.
Yes once you have that breakthrough in perception, it does seem odd that it's virtually mandatory at a social gathering for people to all stand around with their own personal glass of poison. But then, I also feel a bit that way about food being the focus of social gatherings. Especially as you actually can't eat and talk at the same time, lol.
Same with tattoos. I don't have any tattoos, but when people find out, they ask me, "Why?" Like if I was supposed to get them at some point in my life. I did consider getting a tattoo when I was younger, but the truth is, why do I need a tattoo for? Nothing against them, but I personally think they are pointless and needlessly expensive.
That point about toxic relationships! They are normal and its horrible. I took a lot of time off from dating to learn how to recognize and embody healthy behavior. I feel like an alien lol
Honestly as I’ve headed out of my late teens into early teens my relationship with alcohol has kinda changed. I’m moving to a big city, and yes going out to bars and stuff is fun, but I think binge drinking is a thing of the past. Or just drinking to get drunk on a night out. Completely messes with me the next morning and leaves me more tired on Monday when work begins
Didn't think this is the route you'd take with this video, but it's incredible. This is all super solid advice, and it's really unfortunate that these truly are normal habits today.
I have lived alone for over 20 years and have been isolating myself hardcore for the last 5+ years to, ironically, preserve my mental health. Because working the front desk at a mental health and wellness office was literally driving me insane...
I feel like relationships don’t really workout because of negativity around the circle, comparing other relationships how they get things, feel good or bad about it then overthinking the situation your in when falling in love.

Congrats on 800k my online friend Courtney Ryan. I wish you more success to come
That is what I love about this channel despite my reservations, its a connection, a community, this is a good thing, kudos to you, you provide a community here where we may have no community, thanks for sharing. i'm a dude, have different perspective.
I particularly enjoyed this video, Courtney. Good insights and information on the connection between bodily health and attractiveness!
Your voice is so calming 😊
Great advice. I love this video. And I’m glad you’re almost at a million subscribers.
All great advice for sure, and it's a rare individual who is able to check all of those boxes. Most of us seem to choose our own poison.
I am not normal. That is awesome!! Everyone should take the time to listen to this video instead of reacting to the headline. I went in saying I was normal and realized my normal is not the normal of most. Absolutely love this video.
Everyone has a different definition of “normal”. It is generally relative.
Like beauty or self-worth which so many women believe places them on a higher plane of existence.
What is or is near to the statistical mean is objectively normal.
@@aleidius192 YES!! and still perceived to be open to personal interpretation.
I agree with everything you said. Delay gratification, processed foods are killing us slowly. Making us weak.
That makes sense. Enjoy your day.
One sense of "normal" is statistically normal: what everyone else does. The other is the sense we mean when we talk about the normal operating range of a piece of machinery: what works best.
i have no idea, who does the color grading for your videos, but they get the look on point... it is sooo clean, props to the color grader
All great and timely info !
Thanks for sharing
I see what you've done. Well presented!
Yes, your wisdom in this area definitely shows. So neat you are into that, and appreciate you sharing the findings of your research with us. ❤
I like how you tied it in to how we look, or our attractiveness, too. I never thought about that before, but it’s true! The mental and emotional and invisible side of things affects the visible and outer appearances!
Great stuff, as always. Love the video title, too!
Also the “I’m looking at you” with the TikTok scrolling part made me lol 😂
I got rid of my social media outlets recently. It seems small but it’s incredibly freeing
Happy Sunday Funday Courtney! Good video!
My grandfather on drinking: If you don't start then you don't have to quit.
I also find that the early to be early to rise thing is very true. Don't spend all your time doom scrolling at night. Get to sleep.
The motherly advice from a little big sister I never knew I needed 💪🤣💪💪😘💪
Got some of these down, and working on sleep for sure👍😘👍
Congrats on 800k Courtney
I love your personality, the respect for all with kindness about how life should be with being loved in a relationship, being able to face challenges with others about how they feel about each other. Main things is eat healthy, exercise, love yourself, partner, enjoy the moment of life, be thankful of god n everything else. Thank you for sharing your thoughts are so true, respect for all to hear about what you think.
Why is toxicity so attractive to a lot of women = anti-social, less boring, expectation of excitement, less vanilla, less marigold, less bland.
@@BheeOrgh problematic women are attracted to problematic men because that's all they know. If you want quality you have to be quality so don't worry about that giant pool of low caliber women
That's not true. Men get judged more for not having much of a social life, if anything. Of course, modern society atomizes people, which puts the screws to us.
This is actually just some solid advice for life!
Well said Courtney! A timely reminder!
Great video to realise that the normal day can be made more productive, thank 🙏 you
I am honestly struggling right now. Some of these habits mentioned in the video I could probably do something about, but it will take a lot for me to stop being stuck in these loops. On top of that, I actually cannot financially afford to do a fair bit of the suggestions to work on these issues. I would say managing sleep is the most attainable of the list.
Your recommendations about making sure you take care of yourself by taking a shower, going for a walk, healthy foods, not neglecting people, removing toxic things in your life including entertainment shows, minimal alcohol and sunlight improving your mood are ALL things we in the psychiatry/ psychology field/ therapy always follow up with our clients every appointment.
Wow Courtney! Excellent content as always. So positively mentally cultivating! Would so love a book! Do you have psychology degrees? You resonate with thinking. Huge thanks for your firm, sincere, logical, challenging action based living. Cheers to good health and good lovE!!
Oh.. future content. I'd love to see even more mental health content. You have a gift of cultivating this, I feel. All progress starts in the mind. Thnx
Yes! I have been saying this for years.
Using marijuana is not normal. That's why it wasn't mentioned.
Alcohol was mentioned because it is. Though it shouldn't be.
Thanks Courtney. I would like to see more on longevity.
*The biggest takeaway here is that confidence in who you are, even if it’s unconventional, is what draws people in. Own those unique traits instead of dimming them down - true attraction is all about being unapologetically real.*
THIS through my recent separation with my fiance after her infidelity and then break up. I was almost searching for something to be better at! Felt I wasn’t good enough for anyone my friends our daughter for her etc.
Then I realized I’m me and this is me and the right person and friends will love me and my quirks!
That has literally nothing to do with what she said lol. The topic is looking good.
@@HateBear-real I was talking about this comment specifically not the whole video?
Aww, it’s my pleasure! Thanks for being here and for such a thoughtful comment ❤️
One thing i did:
I got earphones from my sister.
Rosary reps are so important. Keep it up!
Amen to the sleep thing. I am "blessed with neighbourgs that keep me up long after I am off to bed. And it shows.
14:55
I've heard so many people brag about getting up super early, pretty much my whole life.
But it's the dumbest flex.
Because if that's your regular routine, then either -
You're deliberately missing out on sleep, which will compromise every single thing in your life even remotely related to your health.
OR
You're just going to bed extra early. In which case, who cares?
Follow you own advice who care. They is no rules. You can do what you want. Don't listen to a stupid list that you have to follow, in order to obtain women. Use your critical thinking skills
If your are paying attention to a stupid list you already lost
These small things matter. I could relate to this video.
As a 52-year-old, who looks 49 -- because I too have become a health nut -- I would definitely like some more vids on anti-aging techniques.
10:57
I think also that alcohol directly causes dark circles via toxicity.
I've noticed that since I've gotten in the habit of having a brandy (just one) before bed,
the dark circles have come back fully.
So time to address that...
Isolation and no community is something I struggle with. I do want to improve on this point the most.
All your muscles lead to your neck, so it's important to maintain strength.
i’m currently studying psychology at columbia and just learned that alcohol can induce or lead to the early onset of psychotic disorders
Courtney, guess what! I am a proud owner of Prada Luna Rossa Black (and Sport). You were not lying. I've been getting alot of compliments with it. I love it.
Thank you My friend!!!
Some great health/wellness things to talk about:
1) All the benefits of drinking good purified water.
So true. Thanks Big Sis
I agree with the comments that say the title video is much better than the title. I wouldn’t have watched if I didn’t love your other videos
Courtney can you make a video about when it’s time to walk away? I’ve noticed recent friends dealing with this issue.
Despite the title I really like the positive vibe projected on this video.
I had terrible insomnia when I was 27. I look younger at 32 than I did back then.
Do the hard things indeed. The homegirl Courtney bringing some David goggins motivation.
Hope to see you 1 million subscribers be end of December ❤
That point about toxic relationships! They are normal and its horrible.
I took a lot of time off from dating to learn how to recognize and embody healthy behavior. I feel like an alien lol
I really needed this Íve had a tough time my dog died this year 😭😭😭 Im really trying to better myself I could relate to the food bit
This also applies to women. I’ve been lucky to have taught my oldest daughter to do things she MUST do, rather than things she WANTS to do.
Didn't think this is the route you'd take with this video, but it's incredible. This is all super solid advice, and it's really unfortunate that these truly are normal habits today.
The best thing that I’ve implemented is turning off all screens after 9 and reading instead of
Everyone is special!
I have lived alone for over 20 years and have been isolating myself hardcore for the last 5+ years to, ironically, preserve my mental health. Because working the front desk at a mental health and wellness office was literally driving me insane...
Courtney, when is your casual q&a (question and answer) video?😮
In the next few weeks! 💗
@@CourtneyRyanno worries; will be fun:)
Been divorced for almost 7 years now and finding community is still a struggle
I feel like relationships don’t really workout because of negativity around the circle, comparing other relationships how they get things, feel good or bad about it then overthinking the situation your in when falling in love.
