@@pomelo9840 If you think that's how male V sounds and is, then you haven't actually played him. Male V actually shows what men were never really allowed to show, weakness and loss and not having control. Male V is a stoic badass at the exact same moments female V is, and he is exactly as helpless as she is, and it's honestly more impactful since you EXPECT male V to be in control, to be that stoic badass all the time, and there are times he just breaks.
@@pootytangluvr619 There's also the fact that it feels more like a bromance with Johnny. Johnny gives him shit but you know they're used to each other and best friends at one point.
That 'never stop fightin' from Johnny, meant a lot to me. Cyberpunk was the first Tabletop Roleplaying System I ever got to enjoy as a player. Years later, I still come back to it. The lore, to stand alone against the corruption, always seemed so dire. But despite the odds, never giving up was at it's core. That is what Johnny stood for in the end. That is what he chose for us to take from him. Silverhand passed the torch onto another, to fight the Evil that hides on top of their dark towers.
Do you think the tabletop game is worth getting into? I love this game (CP2077), the world, and the lore. I think about the tabletop game, and how fun it might be to convince some friends to play it.
@@madeinmexico47 Aaah well it is like it is with any other TTRPG. When you find people you can play with and have a GM, then yeah. It is worth getting into it. But I won't lie. The GM's part is always connected to work. With varying degrees of it. I love it. I have played the Cyberpunk system for years now. If you get a few people who are very eager to play with you and also have someone who is aware of the fact, that prepping sessions WILL take up time in his/her week, then absolutely go for it. It has been the greatest of events for me. To play in our Cyberpunk Game is really fun. But I will say, it is probably not for everyone. Here is my suggestion: whatever you do, communicate that you want to try it out with *one* session. A One-Shot to find out, if it is something you guys can get behind. And just take a pre-written adventure for that, so that you don't have any time wasted if it ends up not being your thing.
The game just speaks truth. The world is in control of a few rich people and those willing to follow them, because it makes them some money, too. And the main part of society is just living along with it, trying to make it through another day every 24 hours.
The ending I got was V giving her body to Johnny. I felt like she would do that..she couldnt save Jackie, but she could save Johnny. it's been a year since I got that ending as my first playthrough and I am still not over it. I swear I sat there in my chair for a good hour just taking it all in. What a masterpiece.
Same here. Jackie's death and the choice you'd have to make at the end were both spoiled for me before I started playing. I wish I could go in with a fresh start. Regardless, even on repeated playthroughs, I lose it every time when Jackie dies. It's hard to go back and get through the ofrenda. CDPR might have had bugs, but the main story is top notch and something I will never forget.
V technically dies when Dex shoots him in the head. And then again in Mikoshi. For all we know V is a construct/engram after both deaths.@@MeteorArchive
This game was the highest level of immersion i've achieved in all of my years as a gamer. I felt like I was V, I felt like those ppl I meet matter and that I matter to them. That my actions have consequences for me, for the world and for those ppl. Romanced with Panam, extremely organic, seeing her and V slowly change each other and find something they want and need in each other - priceless. Nomads, the atmosphere surrounding them - warm, beautiful and also very organic IMO. That moment by the fire when Cassidy plays his guitar, V holds Panam and she looks towards the sky so you just naturally do this too without anything actually encouraging you to - no dialogue about it, no hints in the UI, you just do this. Felt way too real. And then, when we actually become an Aldecaldo, we're welcomed with open arms, we're loved, needed and we know that those ppl are gonna walk towards hell with us and for us and while playing it, all I felt was this anxiousness, nervousness. Like "man, many of them are gonna die because of me, maybe we shouldn't do this, I'm just one dude, nothing much in the big picture". That's what no game made me feel - responsibility. Literally never felt myself as a character being responsible for anything. I've been immersed, sometimes very much so, but not on this level. During Jackie's ofrenda, when Mama Welles starts the whole thing and you sit next to Victor. I actually looked at him instead of her and the way his face looked, like he was so tense, barely able to hold in his emotions, his hands grasping the boxing gloves harder and harder - absolutely breathtaking. Victor himself was amazing throughout the whole game. So disturbed, so angry at himself for being unable to help us. He really cared about both V and Jackie. I know, this comment is a mess, but needed to get this off my chest. Because all of it, all I wrote above became a ticking bomb and when I met up with Alt and Johnny in virtual world and learned that after all of this struggle, all the sacrifices, all the connections V's (i) have made death, still gonna claim us in half a year, that bomb exploded. Never cried this much (a lot of records being broken by CP77 lmao) while playing any game. Kinda felt betrayed, kinda angry that I naively thought I'm gonna survive, turned the game off for a day. Had the obvious Panam/Nomads ending and it was the greatest cure for this absolute depression. Why? Because that's whe only one that actually gives you what others do not - HOPE. Looking for a cure far away from night city alongside good friends and a woman you (V) love and then listening to all the messages. Vic being his usual self, just hoping for us to drop by next time, Mama Welles angry, but also loving and caring, just scared she's gonna lose another son and actually not be able to bury him. Man, Judy too, even though her leaving NC hurt me as If i was losing a very close friend (her pictures and messages afterwards made the pain go away though) and Misty with her last tarot reading, which also gave V hope. I know how it is with big, open world RPGs, but for me THIS is canon and I hope I can continue this story in some future DLCs. I just really wanna know If it can end nicely for V and Panam, wherever they land. Best gaming experience I had. Maybe not the greatest game ever gameplay=wise, but that's not the point. Making you appreciate passion, characters, story and hidden messages - that's the point. Gameplay mechanics in those type of games are essentially a car you use to get to the finish line - you can still reach it, even if the car was damaged and you can still enjoy the view along the road. I certainly did.

If this game would release in this state as for 2.0 update I think It would be called masterpiece 100%, but lot of folks just gave up on the game after tragic release. Devs tried everything to corect their mistakes and now its a real shining pearl, an amazing game with great gameplay and beautiful story for those that gave the game another chance... sad that you cannot make another "first impresion" on those that gave up after buggy release but at least we can be happy that devs gave a shit about the game and fixed it for us and didn't just toss it away as a faliure project

@@rylanprime6176 For sure. Especially towards the end of the game. He (Gavin Drea) is amazing at catching desperation and fear. Which is cool since guys usually aren't usually allowed to show that. Not saying they don't--just not often.
V is honestly an amazing character you can play as and it helps that her voice is so beautiful and naturally luring like a siren.. This woman deserves happiness and doesn't deserve the pain she has went through but it helps that she has a best friend literally in her head to talk to and let each other's walls down when talking; After playing Phantom Liberty, I have to say that Valerie honestly deserves a lot of love and happiness but unfortunately you don't get those happy endings in Night City. Johnny said it best: "Here for folks like us? Wrong City, Wrong People"
I love this edit immensely. The way the scenes are strung together along with the audio clips telling the story is perfect. And the song choice is the best song to describe V and their journey. Thank you so much for making this video.
You know I think as much as Johnny influences V’s personality. V influenced Johnny’s, maybe V gave Johnny the chance to finally think beyond Arasaka & let go of all that hate. In the end you need to let Hate go and that’s both the simplest solution, but the hardest goal to achieve. Don’t let hate burn you, don’t let ignorance blind you, don’t let loneliness deafen you.
@@castbet9183 So true. Even though they had a hatred towards each other in the beginning, in the end they started to have their influence on each other’s personality. The way how we move forward in the story, from seeing Johnny as nothing more than a terrorist , to him becoming V’s only best and caring friend is a story that no one should miss! So much thought were put into the characters and their intricate relationships.
Johnny is an exploration of Dex's question: "Long life, or blaze of glory?" Sometimes, living a short life doesn't mean you lived a fulfilling one. What did Johnny get? Nothing. Everything he destroyed got rebuilt. His friends despised him, and the world forgot about him. Sometimes, being remembered just means having people who care about you

Hey man, from my point of view Cyberpunk 2077 wants to tell a story that wants to give you a message of how to enjoy life outside of the fact that you may have a lot of problems for example: losing a close friend, understanding that you are never alone because you know that there will be someone who may welcome you into the family and it also teaches you not to be transported to a city where it is full of suck and feel sucky the person himself... this game gives you strong emotions that for a normal person unfortunately will not be able to understand... This is the context V's sacrifices mean for the story of Cyberpunk. This is how we're meant to feel when we think of V when they reach the end of their story and part ways with Johnny. This is how I wish people would see the story of Cyberpunk, rather than being upset that all the endings are too depressing. For anyone that is irritated or upset about V's story ending on too dark a note, I'll just show them this. Despite everything Night City can throw at you, V's story is ultimately one of hope.

I don’t see it that way, I see it as Johnny not wanting to fuck up the relationship he has with V as many women in business life he ruined
@@_Woody_ thanks for that thoughtful reply, I appreciate it. It might be in the cards for us one day, I’ll look forward to it!

As one who has spent over 300 hours playing the game can I just say, this was a masterclass in cinematography, pacing, character, and story.
This summarized EXACTLY how I felt. Down to every detail.
Wow.
Man 100% i felt this the whole time. Organic is simply how this felt, the gameplay etc couldve been better but man did it hit me in the feels.
Your comment gave me goosebumps as well man. I totally resonate with what you say.

You know I think as much as Johnny influences V’s personality. V influenced Johnny’s, maybe V gave Johnny the chance to finally think beyond Arasaka & let go of all that hate.

I bought the game recently during its 1.5 version. Despite all the bugs, the game was so immersive, fun, and had one of the best stories I have experienced. Overall, a fantastic game.
