Only flew a couple times over 10 years ago. This looks like something I could start with. Is it still the best option? Is there anything in the 150-200 range that is also ready to fly like this one? Tempted to just jump right in with this one though.
These smaller jets are so much more fun than the expensive ones. You crash, no problem. I am mainly a surface or heli guy with little plane experience and these allow me to be composed behind the sticks. Just ordered to go along with my Eachine Mini F-16 Falcon. With these being upgraded to brushless and 2S, it’s a no brainer at < $100 shipped. Love the two tone Russian livery. What sold me on this was the price, the realistic look, and the glowing turbine outlets. Everyone loves a big set of turbine outlets.
You need to either manually adjust linkage ,add nose weight or trim with radio..you should be able to go full throttle and stay level...i also have a micro t28 and micro f22..all these planes are just as good quality airframes as fms and eflight..they are just tiny...this is a very cool plane it just needs to be setup correctly...but yes newbies can fly it and enjoy it as is...i just like them to handle as good as possible..happy flying
Well I took this for a test flight and I'm very impressed with it's easy handling and speed envelope. I didn't have to tweak anything and just took off from throwing and it flew fine. I have seen it said that it has heavy aft CG but I didn't feel that way, i think it's just the way jets sag as they fly slow. Or maybe the manufacturer improved the CG since or that customer got one that wasn't so good. Anyway, It really can float nicely and has decent stabilization. I was impressed with it's acceleration and it can climb at a decent rate. Not to mention that the battery seemed to last about 10 minutes and that's with LED's on which is not bad...My UMX Habu could barely do 5 min. No rudder can be a little bit annoying but I could still work with it for turns. One just has to be banked and pull up and otherwise use wind direction to help the turns along. There were some major cons though... I have to say the included landing gear is a bit annoying, the plastic pegs that hold the wheels on like to fall off and get lost so your wheels fall off and jet will flip over on the pavement. So one should probably use some superglue on roughened leg surface without getting it between wheel and peg. or just take the landing gear off and fly over soft grass as I did. Also the charger for the battery leaves a bit to be desired. It doesn't seem to want to charge more than around 4.14 volt per cell and they're not exactly balanced, either. These are minor issues compared to how well it flies. I have other chargers and landing gear fixes that could be done much easier than bad power to weight ratio and other aerodynamic bugs other planes i've had seem to have more trouble with.
I fixed my nose gear with a peg i put together (plastic dowl and washer glued together, cauterized with heat rod to reinforce the glue since it wasn't holding up on it's own) and managed to do a few take offs and landings. It was fun however it does pose a serious risk to the prop, especially since it is so far to the rear, it can easily scrape the pavement like a wheelie bar. This happens pretty easily on takeoff and as well as landing if the transitions aren't too abrupt. You have to gradually lift off first not try to yank it up to avoid a curb as I was headed towards. My motor mount was becoming a bit flexible I think from the impacts. So while it can be neat if you know what your'e doing (i had a nice headwind to work with but once that wind stops and you don't have enough forward speed relative to the ground you can drop like a brick to the ground) so it's risky for windy days and any impatience in the slope transitions to and from flat surface. Also it's very important to make sure the flat surface is very flat with very low texture so it has less drag to pull on the landing gear. Gym floors would be ideal though I think the speed of this demands a field with low amount of trees/power lines and decent pavement.
I love these small inexpensive planes. I find I have enjoy them more than my more expensive planes and they are virtually indestructible. I just bought this one and hoping they make other versions like an F-15, F-16, F-18 ect. If you make it, I will buy it.
This video prompted me to buy this. I can not tell you how much I love this little jet. I have the F-15 Eagle which I have had 2 successful flights with but my nerves are HIGH the entire time. This little thing gives me the jet practice I need to fly that Eagle. It is sooooo much fun and flies so well I do not have to worry. As I get more comfortable pop beginner mode off and it will do rolls and loops so well. Thank you so much for your recommendations, your content and being so nice to beginners, sadly do not always get that at my local airfield.
I agree, big well designed and setup planes are easy...i mostly fly fast pusher prop planes...my radjet will do up to 150 mph..but im in my mid sixties now and i prefer flying slower now...i have crashed and repaired planes soo many times ...
I really wish Abby would spot a UFO, it would be the first time in history a UFO was filmed perfectly, in frame, in focus, as it streaked across the sky! 😉
What a great looking and flying Airplane, this SU-35 is. I now own 2 of these, with 3x 2S Lipos for each and am having Fun Fun Fun, flying in the Park and on the club field. Ive had a lot of brilliant flights from these. And at such a good low price for the rtf version. The SU-35 can be flown in strong winds, having great glide characteristics and low stall speed. Another great feature is Durability and ease of Repair. A clean broke Fus can be repaired clean in a couple of hours with Gor Glue and masking tape. There is a small weak point, durability and longevity of the two 2g Servos. I had one seize and 10 flights later the Stbd one stripped some teeth. I advise to buy 4 spare Servos (very cheap), from Banggood at time of SU-35 purchase. Replacement is a bit fiddly, but pretty easy, requiring only a Scalpel, wooden BBQ skewer(to push Conn/Cable though foam), and POR contact adhesive. The Motor Mount is a single screwed peg, and can be broken on tail landings, but dead easy to repair with same materials as I noted for Servo replacement. Needless to say, they got the design of this baby right, the Tx is very ergonomic, giving 6g/3D, dual rates, inverted and lights switching. My Eachine Warbirds seldom get flown since this fantastic FUN flying SU-36 arrived PS The Gyro Stabilisation in 6G Mode is superb
Thats cool im not a jet fan but i definitely like to mmmmm get it the beep neep on the transmitter is saying ya transmitter battery is goin flat.happy new year to u both.
I put my order in for one through your link. Looks like they start shipping later this month. I have nearly all of their warbird lineup and loooooove them! I keep one in my truck at all times just to grab a quick flight when I can. I definitely only fly over soft grass to keep rash at a minimum. It is impressive that you were able to fly without the gyro, the other eachine planes are nearly unflyable. I'm stoked that it's a Russian aircraft, in case you haven't been paying attention since 1991 Russia is no longer a Communist nation.
I’ve already had two of those lol. Lots of fun but if using safe, the gyros come tilted often, happened to a couple friends as well and it will fly a bit sideways with stabilization on.
I have had mine for a month now one of the best flying planes for the money and I’m buying another one just to have and tiger I had known how great the little 400 mm warbirds are I never would have spent the thousands of dollars on the bigger ones I feel you get the same experience at least I feel that way !
Fly in a huge grassy area with no trees or poles on a super calm day...this is my best advice...once you have several good flights you will gain some skill and be able to take more chances with some wind and areas not so perfect..good luck...their are several videos on youtube on this plane with brushed motor.. i suggest you watch them...some cover getting cg spot on so plane flys without gaining altitude when adding more speed...
Watched you flying this, and ordered straight away, that is just amazing for the price.being over sixty love the fact it's not to fast, same reason I bought the e-flite thunderbolt 11,which I only fly on 2s (3s to fast for me) love your channel
Hi Nat, I have V1 with 1s pack flies good but had to put weight in nose now flies great. So have just ordered this version with 3 batteries for £59.93 UK. Thanks for great vids, keep up your good work!!!!!!!
Hey guys love your content always honest and positive reviews and I know you keep your family life private but have to ask How’s Popeye doing? Miss seeing that little guy
Nah it’s okay to ask! Popeye is doing well! He’s recently been in a couple of our “Top” videos if you’d like to see him! He needs a haircut, but we tend to leave it very long and shaggy in the winter. 🥶 ❤️🐕⚓️
I have an issue with the price you are advertising from Banggood. On your app it shows Banggood price $89.99 with 3 batteries and LED's. 4 days later your link takes me to Banggood price $109.99 with no LED's and 2 batteries. Something is wrong when the price is increased $25.00 in 4 days with less in it. I don't understand.
I do understand because I bought one. Too slow is the your issue. You missed the special preliminary release deal which was $84.99USD for 2 batteries and $89.99 for 3 batteries. It's now at the regular price.
Banggood is like that. It will be one price one day & different the next. Chances are it will be available at the lower price again soon. Keep an eye daily for the price you want. It will also often say cheapest price in 365 days or that the current price will last x amount of days. Don't believe that. I just pre-ordered one for £51.14 ($65) with 2 batteries. This included a £5 discount bonus from a previous order but would still have been just over the $70 mark.
Hey guys, love your videos , just a question , which one would you choose , this one or the h650 (sea, land and air ) that you reviewed before . Thanks
At least that one can take a better beating that most of the more expensive planes you've crashed. Will the foam not melt if you use spray paint to touch up the scratches?
Great to see you both. From watching your drone Vids. The old Xiro Xplorer drone. I bought after watching your Vids. I always wanted to get into flying RC Jet planes. Looking to start off with this model
Just got / flew it ... You're flying in a bit of wind cause they're cleaner / neater airborne than this video , at least in near zero wind . Launchs in zero wind are a bit harrowing cause you'll need a lot of up elevator till the airspeed gets up ; but landing is no throttle , hands off ; very unprofessional ( a good thing ) And the knife edge turns even in low rates 6g are to die for . Controller dead zones take about half a battery to get used to though , but , meh .. Good video guys , that's why I coughed up the bucks .
Hello love what you guys do and the energy you put into what you do. I bought one of these jets after watching your review on it, I've never had a plane, jet, drone or anything before so quite excited about it. One question how do you get the battery out that is already in the jet ? As I am scared about breaking it to remove it ? Any tips would be appreciated.
I dare anyone to crash an eflite jet like that even once, and be able to relaunch it immediately lol. It looks like if you adjusted the elevators to neutral it would fly better.
Have you tried the J-20 ducted fan jet? I think it’s close to the same price but a true ducted fan version. I flew mine in my backyard and had forgotten to screw in the vertical stabilizers and one fell off but the plane kept flying like it was nothing.
The afterburners on Russian jet aircraft are blue. American afterburners are red. I wish I knew why, that is the case, ,but no one has answered my questions. Maybe you know.
Check the flame when lighting up a torch, when it's yellow it will smoke a lot because the mixture is if. Blue means it correct, means it's more efficient. All the brainwashed russian hater's should know that the US have control over the weak US citizens brain.
I just saw your Huey helicopter wreck. The other videos of that helicopter initialize the gps by moving it around. Kind of like I have to do my drones. Do you think that might have been part of the issue? Just love Abby saying Bye.
Always appreciate feedback like this! Sadly, that wouldn’t help with this particular version. Apparently they eliminated the GPS “dance” with this latest version. I believe everyone concluded that the tail rotor wires were either reversed or that motor had some type of issue. I’ve also heard that MANY people have had a similar issue. Stinks when “reviewers” are actually just “sales people” and don’t care when others waste their money on stuff. Some viral videos sold a lot of those helicopters and they were riddled with issues. I might follow up on that, one day. 👍💯⚓️
I was looking at this, and the eachine p-40 as a first plane, which would you recommend? This one seems better, but the p-40 has a rudder and better availability of parts. What do you think?
I'd get the Eachine p51d or Volantex Sport Cub 500 over this su35. I own all the Warbirds as well as the sport Cub 500 plus this su35. The best flying is by far the sport Cub followed by the p51d. This su35 looks great and flies well but there is no rudder control and it's not so durable. It's made from cheap Styrofoam and may break in half if you crash it. The Eachine/Volantex planes last forever ie. hundreds of flights. Also the Eachine/Volantex planes can do loops and rolls which are more fun than inverted.
@LifeWideOpen780 the newest one has auto invert, is more stable and the brushless motor gives it more power and throttle control. The brushed version/og version needed nose weight to fly well, but it can fly for a really long time. I'm going to add Canards to my brushless version and will report back how it performs
@@roadstar499 adding a penny to the front or a couple screws behind the nose cone helps with that. The flanker naturally wants to climb, she a tail heavy bird
Oh so this brushless version is also a bit tail heavy and needs weight in the nose like the brushed version...i watched a few videos where they added weight and it flew great. They added a nickel..this brushless may need less weight...cog is so important with planes..these micros with gyros are no exception especially if gyro is switched off.. I have been flying without gyros for many years...
@@joeseep7235 I've got the P51D, the Corsair, and the Trojan. Love them. I had a Sport Cub 500 too bit the motor froze and they sent me a broken used replacement. I sent that back bit love my original when I had it. I did just add the E-flite UMX Air Tractor. A great model!
Yes agree I'd like to see this company do sum British an American planes . Vulcan bomber euro fighter f15 f16 B17. C130 f14 I can go on an on . Oh an concord be a awesome small model to own I think these would sell pretty quickly .
Are there metal servos on this craft, a lot of times these cheap planes cut corners by putting in plastic servos like on the x450 stunt plane I bought, great plane, plastic servos and I've seen them blow to peices.
Oh no. These are definitely not metal servos 😅 At least not at this price! I am still very impressed with everything that’s offered here, especially for the price of admission! 👍💯⚓️
Ha, nevermind, mine is brushless. barely hitting 90$ including shipping and taxes off US shipper on ebay is a pretty good deal. It's hilarious how they don't mention that it's brushless anywhere like it's just assumed to be standard nor is there a brand name other than QIFENG on the manual in small print. model# QF009 Which of course is filled with insightful Engrish literature. I'd like to pair it with a radiomaster and down the road maybe add rudder control.

I have old version and i will buy this new
And the afterburner helps you find it 😉
Ordered because of you guys, thanks. Cant wsit to try it. Will be my first rc plane. 👍🔥

Another superb video Nate and Abby.
Hi Abby,
Ralphie
It’s also EPP foam, so very forgiving.
Extremely forgiving! I did my best to demonstrate that in FULL force in this video 😉😅💯⚓️
This jet is fragile. First flight - nose broken. Then vertical stabilizer. All glued together now.

I need to get a plane! This thing seems so sweet
i just ordered it too cant wait
I got the brushed one from your recommendation and love it!
Cool bird. Nice video, I ll buy it. Do you remember the other one. The XK J-11.
Think I will buy one
Love ur videos today is my birthday and I am exited to fly my new f8f bearcat 1200mm
Happy Birthday!! 🥳💯⚓️
Hey guys, love your videos , just a question , which one would you choose , this one or the h650 (sea, land and air ) that you reviewed before . Thanks
This flight is really really amazing. I'm definitely gonna buy one.
Buying! Great video.
Please follow up and let us know what you think! Hoping for best $100 spent in the hobby 🤞 💯⚓️
At least that one can take a better beating that most of the more expensive planes you've crashed.
Will the foam not melt if you use spray paint to touch up the scratches?
Spray paint doesn't melt the foam
@@paulwaffler8208 Spray paint will eat foam! Why? Because of the propellant and solvents in it!
@@Thehammer1776 I spray paint all my foam planes, Paint doesn't affect the type of foam these planes are made out of.
Great to see you both. From watching your drone Vids. The old Xiro Xplorer drone. I bought after watching your Vids.
I always wanted to get into flying RC Jet planes. Looking to start off with this model
Just ordered this thank you so much for guiding us the right direction ❤
Happy Flying!! I absolutely love mine 👍😎❤️⚓️
Have you flown the FX9630 J20 yet? It’s a budget edf
Cool plane especially for the price, It has some crazy features which is awesome, hehe
Currently 66.00 on banggood with three batter 06/14/2024
bro i might have to get this. nice hat btw
Thanks! Happy Flying! 👍😎💯⚓️
Just ordered it
Happy Flying!! 👍😎💯⚓️
Well loved this video and used your link and bought this plane 79.00 out the door thank you so much keep it up
I just got one in the mail. This is my first plane. I'm hoping I can learn alot and not crash it too much. Please do a follow up video.
Looks incredible
I thought it was a plastic. It's MR. FOAMY lol!
This thing would actually be great if they put in a electric duct fan instead of prop
Not a true jet
Just got / flew it ...
You're flying in a bit of wind cause they're cleaner / neater airborne than this video , at least in near zero wind .
Launchs in zero wind are a bit harrowing cause you'll need a lot of up elevator till the airspeed gets up ; but landing is no throttle , hands off ; very unprofessional ( a good thing )
And the knife edge turns even in low rates 6g are to die for .
Controller dead zones take about half a battery to get used to though , but , meh ..
Good video guys , that's why I coughed up the bucks .
I JUST just bought this how cool!! It’s a joy to fly
I am buying one I love it
مشاهده ممتعه ، وتقديم الفيديو احترافي جدا . كم هي مسافه التحكم القصوى بين الطائره وجهاز التحكم ؟ شكرا
Not going to lie I need eachine to make a MIG 17 and 19
Yep...I want one.....
👀❤
What is the 4in 1 protocol?
Under $100, you can't go wrong.
That would be cool to chace and get action cam footage.
I struggled with that too, you just need to pull on it hard
Just cut this blue plastic covering those batteries, close to the battery itself. That way you can pull them out much more easily.
Cool bud, I'm sold I want one!
I need one for sure ❤😂🎉😊
Nice Nate!
Oh yeah!! Love everything this RC is bringing to the table to kick off the new year!! 👍🥳💯⚓️
I dare anyone to crash an eflite jet like that even once, and be able to relaunch it immediately lol.
It looks like if you adjusted the elevators to neutral it would fly better.
Great plane and great video
Thank you!!
Wow it even has acrash button
I think I want one!
Is this below the 250g weight limit for uk?
I believe it is, but the weight should be listed on the website linked 👍💯⚓️
Abby and Nate y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace
You have to tell them to do an F-15 Eagle, combat 104/0. Thanks
Have you tried the J-20 ducted fan jet? I think it’s close to the same price but a true ducted fan version. I flew mine in my backyard and had forgotten to screw in the vertical stabilizers and one fell off but the plane kept flying like it was nothing.
Forgot a screw of an airplane?! Omg... lucky for you that the plane forgived you😂
Can it make some maneuvers like cobra?
No, it would need vectored thrust for that.
Yes it can becouse I have it and I tried
They just like to BEEP BEEP 🤠🤟
😮Amazing price £55 with 2 batteries 🇬🇧 😮
Yes!! 👍💯⚓️
The afterburners on Russian jet aircraft are blue. American afterburners are red. I wish I knew why, that is the case, ,but no one has answered my questions. Maybe you know.
Russian fuel is dirtier ( less refined) than western fuels = Russian engines burn less efficiently
@@jimcoop5663 you are funny.
You mean the opposite.
Blue means it burns better, yellow means the fuel/air mixture is bad.
Check the flame when lighting up a torch, when it's yellow it will smoke a lot because the mixture is if.
Blue means it correct, means it's more efficient.
All the brainwashed russian hater's should know that the US have control over the weak US citizens brain.
@@gerolddo " you're " = you are
Lol. Seriously...
I wish they would make a 400mm series or similar A-10!!
@@joeseep7235what do you mean the jet can also do loops/rolls
Cool!
Damn nate you late to the party lol but yeah this revision of the qf009 su35 is pretty sweet, brushless def a plus i have both versions
Big difference between the two??
@LifeWideOpen780 the newest one has auto invert, is more stable and the brushless motor gives it more power and throttle control. The brushed version/og version needed nose weight to fly well, but it can fly for a really long time. I'm going to add Canards to my brushless version and will report back how it performs
Were you able to adjust linkage or add weight to get it to fly at high speed level flight? Thanks for sharing
So Nate, if you are buying one plane, do you get this one or the XIAXIU Raptor H650?
@@joeseep7235 I've got the P51D, the Corsair, and the Trojan. Love them. I had a Sport Cub 500 too bit the motor froze and they sent me a broken used replacement. I sent that back bit love my original when I had it. I did just add the E-flite UMX Air Tractor. A great model!
Got to have a F22
Yes agree I'd like to see this company do sum British an American planes . Vulcan bomber euro fighter f15 f16 B17. C130 f14 I can go on an on . Oh an concord be a awesome small model to own I think these would sell pretty quickly .
Nice 😊
Oh yeah! Kicking off 2024 with an amazing and actually affordable RC! 👍🥳💯⚓️
I'd really like to see an SU-34 version with operating canards.
That would be sick!
this plane is coming for me tomorrow i’m looking forward to it:))
tell me how it flies when u get it :))
@@samuraiwarren4475 i will i hope it says it’s coming today
@@samuraiwarren4475 the delivery has been delayed idk it says it’s inspecting customs on the tracking
I wonder if it would be possible to mod this thing with an edf? 🤔
Good Review best deal on that jet
The problem is, that "runway" is nowhere near anything resembling scale. It would be like real airplanes landing and taking off on a craggy rock path.
Beggars can’t be choosers! We are lucky and glad to be able to fly here, but you’re right it is in rough shape. ⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors I understand. I'm just pointing it out as it pertains to the perceived durability of this and other RC aircraft.
Good point 👍
Says it comes with two batteries. Still an incredible deal!
You can change it to 3 batteries 😜👍
It's $84+ w/2 - $89+ w/3
Ha, nevermind, mine is brushless. barely hitting 90$ including shipping and taxes off US shipper on ebay is a pretty good deal.
It's hilarious how they don't mention that it's brushless anywhere like it's just assumed to be standard nor is there a brand name other than QIFENG on the manual in small print. model# QF009
Which of course is filled with insightful Engrish literature. I'd like to pair it with a radiomaster and down the road maybe add rudder control.
its a rear prop though
Worth the buy??
