Great print! Quick tip if you take a full sheet of sandpaper and spray glue it to a flat surface. You can then sand the joining surfaces to be a perfect match. Its a woodworking tip that transfers over real well. Good luck on your future builds.
+Uncle Jessy can you sell these? Like make them and sell them? Also could you link the website where your selling them (like eBay) so I could buy one because there's no way in hell I can make this
Awesome!!! Looks fantastic! Great idea with the magnets. Really glad you enjoyed the print. Keep up the great work. Stay posted for future models. I have some things coming down pipe that I bet our geek friends would love. GEEK ON!!!! Thanks for the shout. Exciting to see it all come together.
+Uncle Jessy not a problem. I love bringing content to all my geek friends out in the world. I hope i can keep making and designing content for the world to print. :)
We had went on a field trip to the factory that created the 3D printers it was really cool we got to see the prototypes before they were created and it was awesome.
I am very inexperienced when it comes to 3d printing, and I was just curious if any of you knew how big a printer you would need to create something like this. Specific product names would be appreciated.
Obviously I'm late to comment but something moderate. Really you can have a tiny one you just need to print it in sections/layers. It doesn't all need to be printed at once especially since one mistake in a massive print is harder to fix than just printing a new tiny layer. Less wasted stuff
+Uncle Jessy so all we have to do is download the file (which is free I believe?) send it to someone with a 3D printer and boom !! We have a nice batman cowl ?
That is so cool! I can't wait to see it after you paint it black! Something that would be cool would be to take a little knife or drill and add some deep lines in it so it looks battle-damaged. You could add like scratches and stuff.
I purchased the cr-10 printer and wanted to know what material/filament you would suggest for building armor pieces similar to both this and iron man armors as well as what software you'd suggest. thanks for your time and keep up the great work.
+Grayson The Overcomer I put the file together to actually make a silicone replica for myself but need to do more research on how to before spending the cheddar.
i bought one of these prints from a friend and i plan on smoothing and finishing it.. and plan on mounting it on my life cast and sculting the rest of the cowl then make a ureathane copy
Love watching your stuff. Been learning quite a bit. Wanna print one of these, just not sure what percentage to scale each part for a full size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great stuff. 🙂
So I take it you pulled the individual pieces into like meshmixer, put them together and then re-sliced them so that you had only 3 pieces and such so that you had the back piece for the magnets, etc?
I use simplify3d for slicing and printing. I didn't design this mask but I believe the guy who did used zbrush. I've used 123d before for other projects and really liked it. They have a great iPad app as well
this so cool. caint wait for 3d printed thor hammer with description of who ever can lift this hammer if they be worthy power thor. maybe batram. i wonder what other super hero themed stuff 3d printed
Hi, awesome video! How did you print the front of the mask in one piece? The file download is several pieces and completed they would fit a new born baby's head. Did you reconstruct and upsize and if so by how much?
Hi there Just subscribed great video 👍, how much would this cost to make in spools, dollars? I'm new to 3d videos and never seem to see what the cost is ,keep up the cool vids Cheers mate
Hey uncle jessy. I’ve recently acquired a Ender 3 and I want to print this mask. Can you tell me the options you used to print it so well? And did you used simplify or cura, or any other program?
Great video! I'm very interested in how you join the pieces together (which was in fast forward here). Do you sand the edges of both pieces you will connect? and with what grit? Also I use PLA for the most part. Thanks!
Pla and then I use maybe 80 grit sand paper just to give it a little texture. Then I use super glue to bond the pieces. Alternatively you could use an old soldering iron to melt/join the pla
That's a BQ witbox - I got it onsale for $500 but they retail for over 1k. You can find some good printers now for $500 and under if you're ok with tinkering
I wish he would do a captain America helmet. Buy the way I'm a big Batfreak myself. And becoming a big captain America fan as well. Cool, project. I've been seriously considering cutting my latex cowl to look similar to your helmet, so I don't tear my ears off when putting it on and off.
I know I'm a bit late, but did you 3D print the dark knight chest armor behind you?? And if so, where did you get the files? I've been looking everywhere for them. Thanks in advance!
you should spray paint it Black or Dark Gray!
that's what I was thinking
Dark DARK Gray
lol
Or create from dark filament? Carbon fiber would be sweet!
I love your video production quality man. Besides the mask being awesome. Amazing editing and just overall great video. Keep it up.
+A Pyro Design thanks man. Nothing but love goes into these.
Ikr! Awesome! The songs, time lapses, nice mic and perfect camers
5:21 family knocks on the door "- What are you doing there?" "- Drugs !" :))
Great print! Quick tip if you take a full sheet of sandpaper and spray glue it to a flat surface. You can then sand the joining surfaces to be a perfect match. Its a woodworking tip that transfers over real well. Good luck on your future builds.
the front of the mask reminded me of the joker batman, it was beautiful. thanks for sharing.
Congrates on finding the magnets from 2 or 3 years ago. I can't find crap I bought 2 or 3 days ago. lol
Hahaha funny enough I was just digging through a junk drawer and found another set

Now that is very cool!
Really great print and awesome work! Thanks for sharing this!
I have a file for the full batfleck cowl. Question I have is what settings did you use for yours? Will be printing on a Cr-10.
LarrisolB I believe for the full cowl I scaled it to 107% on the cr-10 if you have Facebook grab one of the profiles form the files section
Uncle Jessy where do I find the files section on your page?
Thank You so much for sharing those files! Why don't You have more than 19 000 subscribers?
Stewie Griffin working on it 😬👍
I am very inexperienced when it comes to 3d printing, and I was just curious if any of you knew how big a printer you would need to create something like this. Specific product names would be appreciated.
Good question. I'm curious too. Been trying to research but can't find the right info
Obviously I'm late to comment but something moderate. Really you can have a tiny one you just need to print it in sections/layers. It doesn't all need to be printed at once especially since one mistake in a massive print is harder to fix than just printing a new tiny layer. Less wasted stuff

Are lower cost 3D printers worth the investment?
Invention Therapy checkout my CR-10 3d printer initial impressions. It's under $500 and I totally think it's worth picking up as a starter printer
I purchased the cr-10 printer and wanted to know what material/filament you would suggest for building armor pieces similar to both this and iron man armors as well as what software you'd suggest. thanks for your time and keep up the great work.
Why is it so smooth
I wonder if you could use it as a mold for a latex mask.
Totally could. I might attempt that down the road after i get this one cleaned up
+Uncle Jessy if so, please post a video! I've been looking for ways to get ahold of quality latex cowls. I'm a huge batman fan as well.
+Grayson The Overcomer I put the file together to actually make a silicone replica for myself but need to do more research on how to before spending the cheddar.
Pretty slick. How do you like your 3D printer? I am thinking about upgrading mine.

Haha you and me both man. I won't lie. I wear the damn thing around my house a good bit
+Uncle Jessy who wouldn't if they had this?! Hell, I'd wear it around town or make a motorcycle helmet that was based off of this lol

Great video. what kind of 3d printer do you use?
i bought one of these prints from a friend and i plan on smoothing and finishing it.. and plan on mounting it on my life cast and sculting the rest of the cowl then make a ureathane copy
Jonny harper sounds like a plan! I need to learn how to mold/cast
Love watching your stuff. Been learning quite a bit. Wanna print one of these, just not sure what percentage to scale each part for a full size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great stuff. 🙂

+Uncle Jessy it's all about the glue gun XD
Man nice video what 3D printer you are using to do the mask and i so your Thor mask video and you recommend the CR10 and if the CR10 is easy to use
Dear Uncle Jessy, Your project splits the mask into three parts. How did you alter the files? do you have a download?
So I take it you pulled the individual pieces into like meshmixer, put them together and then re-sliced them so that you had only 3 pieces and such so that you had the back piece for the magnets, etc?
this is freaking awesome.. BTW what 3d printer do u use

Nice video! How much does that helmet weight? so i can figure out how much it would cost me to print

Hello! Is there anyway to get the files sliced the way yours is?

Hi! Where you can buy 3d models of the masks?
Nice job
did you ever add a hinge working on a similar red hood helmet and trying to decide what to use for it
Which printer are you using.
Hey uncle jessy. I’ve recently acquired a Ender 3 and I want to print this mask. Can you tell me the options you used to print it so well? And did you used simplify or cura, or any other program?
Awesome job! Was wondering if you had finished it up/painted it yet?
Thanks. Not yet. Still working on it. Working on a video update
What type of 3d printer do you have?
so cool
Jessy, how did you go about scaling the mask to your head?
Hmmm maybe I will make a video about that
You rock man using Pla plastic instead of hight priced filament
How much do you think this would cost on if you had a company do it? Plenty of mask models, but no 3d printer at home.
Hello. Did you upscale the model in order for you to print it? If so, which scale did you use?
I scaled it up to 107% my head is just a little smaller than 24" around maybe 23.75
+Uncle Jessy thanks :)
I'm in the process of editing my update video.
Just curious, how much was the 3D printer?
That's a BQ witbox - I got it onsale for $500 but they retail for over 1k. You can find some good printers now for $500 and under if you're ok with tinkering
Uncle Jessy Alright, thank you for answering :D
What 3D printer did you use. CR-10? If not, would the CR-10 do a good job of printing this?
Great video. I'm going to start on this one right now. ;)
Mark Tuttle sweet. It's an awesome file to work with. I scaled mine to 107%
What kind of printer do you have?
I wish he would do a captain America helmet. Buy the way I'm a big Batfreak myself. And becoming a big captain America fan as well. Cool, project. I've been seriously considering cutting my latex cowl to look similar to your helmet, so I don't tear my ears off when putting it on and off.
Dude, I actually printed a cap helmet a few months back. I need to dig out the footage and start working on that one again!
Hello my friend how did you add the support material?
which software do you use ?
I know I'm a bit late, but did you 3D print the dark knight chest armor behind you?? And if so, where did you get the files? I've been looking everywhere for them. Thanks in advance!
