    Every Ganesha Chathurthi I remember the combo treatment i used to get in high school. The teacher used to make me do Uthak baithak (also called as baski or situps) for every situp i did i got one whack with the cane on my bum whenever my bum came down.

    Mam,
    I started this practice at the age of 25. Daily 27 counts in the morning after bath as per one of my senior's advice at office.
    Now i at the age of 55 still continuing and realise good health.

      Teenage girls ,young children or women anybody can do this exercise and in no way it will cause any trouble,only of specifically advised it should be avoided.Exercise will only help in strengthening of muscles and will not cause weakness at any point.

      Thoppukarnam females kandipa panlam ,only incase of high risk pregnancy or difficulty in conception you need to avoid, otherwise it's a very good exercise for pelvic floor,uterus erangadhu.

      If you have started only one days before muscle soreness is normal upto 72hrs,or if you have started before ten days or a month and still pain persist you have to take consultation.
