I recently starting seeing a Nigerian guy and he only talks in pidgin English so I’m trying to learn to understand him better. Thank you for making the time to do these videos and keep up!
I’m so happy to have found this Content,,, because I was in Nigeria and it’s was kinda of hard to understand some words. I will be going back next year I be ready than😅👍🏾❤️
Good one! though Nigerian pidgin English is not what you can translate totally because it have different meanings depending where you are or the type event going on that particular moment.and also it gives rooms for you to invent your own words and everybody will understand it.
Dey is more aptly used to connote existence e.g. I Dey! (I exist or, I am okay). It is also, more commonly used in the place of the conjugal words "to be" and as the auxiliary pronoun that preceded an action e.g. you usually, say, " Ah dey come" meaning, "I am coming" instead of "Ah be come", which is meaningless. However, "be" is used when you are making descriptions. E.g. the sentence, "I am a policeman" will translate as "Ah be policeman". You don't say, "Ah dey Policeman". But if you want to describe the actions of the policeman, you can say, "the policeman dey there" i.e. the policeman is there".

Yeye. Oyibo means White people not only white man.
It also means foreigner so the person doesn’t have to be white to be called oyibo or oyinbo.
"man" here means "humans" and not just males.
Yeye Teacher. Whitey means White people not only white man. you're a bad teacher. Afu-Anu
Same thing
Man also means people
