HK Offroad - Broken Trac Bar on Bronco Peak Trail

We had an amazing time out on Bronco Peak in Corral Canyon. At one point we got stuck right on our transfer case and as we tried to escape the boulder we broke our trac bar. Not having any of our repair equipment with us and our spare trac bar forgotten at home, we were stuck in a bind. We posted on SocalWJ on facebook and asked for anyone who has a spare trac bar to reply. We were contacted by Ben from San Diego who happened to have a spare trac bar. We hopped in my uncles JK and proceeded off the trail to San Diego. We picked up the spare trac bar and made the best of the night at camp over a bbq while our WJ slept on the traail. The next morning we drove through the trail with fresh minds and replaced the broken trac bar. Operation Rescue HK went successful and we were home in time for another bbq. Thank you Ben for the helping hand and the favor will be returned.

Is this a 6 fly or do you have the 8 cyl.? Wow, that is a lot of damage to the passenger side. Love a hardcore off road enthusiast. Thank you for sharing your videos.

6cyl. cool. I am still on the fence about 6 vs 8 for my next Jeep WJ that I purchase.

Todd Hoffmaster if the V8 was maintained properly, it is a good engine.
