  • The video shows cutting and prepping for installation. Remember, measure four times, cut once and cut less sheet metal under the door entrance, cut more as needed during mounting of slider. See remaining instructions below for mounting of slider.
    Mounting Slider:
    1) use a floor jack to bring up slider and position in it's approximate mounting location.
    2) the upper part of the rocker you cut out (sheet metal) will go behind the steel bar that's welded to the top of the slider.
    3) position the frame kickers in it's proper location. Raise or lower slider accordingly
    4) now mark the holes to be drilled on the sheet-metal by the door.
    5) lower slider, drill the holes on the sheet-metal to 5/16. Use a pin marking tool before drilling for accuracy.
    6) raise slider back up and place the sandwich bar over the sheet-metal. The 1/4" bolts will tighten the slider on the sheet-metal.
    7) using a clamp, tighten down the frame kickers onto frame rails. If you have a welder, you can weld the frame kickers to the frame rails.
    Use a leveler to ensure the slider is level before welding frame kickers
    There's a driver side and passenger side as stamped on the slider "D" or "P". The sheet-metal which attaches to the top of the slider can be moved in or out to adjust proper fitment.

    When you cut out the lower part of the fender how do you secure the fender, or does it just no longer have screws holding it on the bottom?

    Great looking sliders. My rockers are starting to rust and these would solve my rust issue.
    Are these sliders bolt in or weld in? So when can we look for part 2 of this install video?

    Can you use these if the inner rocker panel is rusted through?

    • @hkoffroad1480
      @hkoffroad1480  3 роки тому +1

      All you need is for the upper sheetmetal near the door where you step in to get into the vehicle. That sheetmetal is cut and bent down to mount the upper point of the slider. I hope that made sense
