If you dont practice this, full force several times you won't be ready to use it. The technique is effective, but you need to practice it a few times with someone bigger and stronger than you, going 100%
Yes yes yes. Its in the practice. Many people say this doesnt work. The thing is watching shorts wont work. Doing them is the real deal. Its simple but we are all prone to this. 😅
You have to brainwash it into your natural instincts, technically you can do this without practicing with a partner so long as you know the feel of muscles to use it, when to use it, many people practice stuff and when it comes to reality they just freeze, coz they ain’t put the thought into it, they just did it because that was the lesson, without really thinking about it, brainwashing things into your mind is as important as practice
This makes complete sense. Some martial arts schools will teach that elbow strike. That technique might actually have been my go-to. I see now how that could work in the assailant's favor.
In most western nations you are not allowed to defend yourself never mind carry a gun, obviously in a place like Texas that's the most effective self defence... Try that in Australia and government will ruin your life
The odds of someone watching this being able to break the attackers grip is slim to none. Like a previous comment stated is a straight back take. IMO in my bjj and limited aikido experience stomp on a foot. Grab a leg in between yours and run. In a bjj match sit and turn in to half guard.
I know kind of old response but this works way more effective as a wrestler if you shoot your hips diagonal while pulling his arms apart you'll break most grips
This is a scenario I've always been comfortable with, when people tried this to do, because I'm 6'4 and heavy. SO FAR I've never had anyone who can lift me. But this is very good to know. Cheers, buddy.
On the turn around, if you time it well; you can also swing arm hard downwards towards their forearm and get the op to expose their side for either arm control, or a takedown. Also turning your hip into the grip is a good one for strong ops
pull on their thumb..mostly likely the attacker is not using the right grip.. or use a kimora lock to break their grip..slide right hand underneath their arm and grap your left wrist while left hand grips their wrist..and proceed with movement. hooking your heal around their ankle helps from them picking you up easily...if you can grab their ankle by leaning over after hooking their ankle...pull up and they will fall back.
The easiest thing to do is drop your hips, step forward with your right leg while holding their left wrist with your right hand, arch your back as much as possible, slide your left foot as far to your right as possible while reaching with your left hand applying pressure to their left hip, twist your body clockwise, snap your shoulders forward and roll forward into a shoulder roll breaking their grip and setting you up for the easy ankle pick. It's that simple.
Right now I’m at the part where he’s showing the video of. How not to reach behind you. I just wanted to test my knowledge on this by commenting now take the top hand and use your thumbs to add pressure away from your body and pent your knees to put pressure downward.
Two hands on one is what my wrestling coach always taught to break the grip, some people are just strong so he taught to put all the pressure on one hand. Cause I’ve been slammed trying to split it to both.😂
Use both hands to grab one of their fingers and snap it. The shorter the movement the easier it is to break and the worse it will be. So go sideways rather than try and bend it back. They may firm the first one, but after the second or third they'll feel that shit! Good thing is that whatever happens next it severely weakened them and reduces general options. Trust me it's hard to punch *or* grab with one broken finger never mind a couple. Alternate between their hands unless you know which is their dominant then probably focus on that. All tips provided are tried and tested 😅
Fml look at the haters. Bro i rate you because practise makes perfect all that shit works and is certified ive had enough street fights grapples etc to finally understand the physics that shit works fair play ❤
In a street fight there’s no rules against grabbing 1 or 2 fingers and peeling them hard af that’s always a good way of getting ppl to let go. It hurts like a B and is very effective. I get that doesn’t fly in jujitsu tho.
If you are a small guy gow down and grab the leg, there is some effective moves you can do from there, we amall guys gets slamed every single time if nlt😅
You can dive between your own legs and get a knee bar as well, nobody will see that coming lol. Not optimal on concrete but having someone behind isn’t optimal either.
@@keenanschouten2582 there was a video of it happening to someone irl inside the short you just watched. Pay a little closer attention and you might see it, it pops up a little fast and might be missed if you have a short attention span.
If someone get's their hands around you from behind they probably love you and misses you. GIve them some slack.

As someone who wrestled for 8 years practice is a necessity to keep you from getting dropped on you head repeatedly
Wrestling coach called it pissed off the roof hahaha
Great video for the start of wrestling season!
Thank you so much you have helped showed me things I didn’t no as a white belt
This makes complete sense. Some martial arts schools will teach that elbow strike. That technique might actually have been my go-to. I see now how that could work in the assailant's favor.
Only use guns in a street fight, i only fight in the ring

awesome thank you, keep them coming you will save a life . . .
One other thing, as you push away dig your thumb into the muscle between their thumb and forefinger. It hurts like hell and weakens their grip.
Yeah what if it's a mma cage fight then lol
Flashback in the late October of 2022
Its been years since i wrestled but sounds right.
what do you think about the “re-stance” or whatever? wouldnt it be better to just fight or run because just standing would restart the fight?

“Now we have a few options”…
one of them is murder lol
pull on their thumb..mostly likely the attacker is not using the right grip..

Was always taught to use the hip like a knife to cut through the grip
I was taught this too
Very effective
Live doing this throw in judo heaven hip si the key great content
Kimura is the best way to get out of this situation
You forgot the option to turn, draw and fire 3 rounds center mass.
No thanks. Prison sucks ass
great technique! i also find sakuraba's arm lock from this position amazing as well, go look it up!
For a split second I thought he had a ponytail
One good basic but important option! 👍
i will be using this!!
Actually very useful advice
If you go to reshoot and they sprawl , either back escape, drive into for underhook clinch or fall into full guard
I can see my 10th grade wrestling coach teaching this to our team.
Ty for the tips!
I’ve Ben a wrestler for 5 years and yes do this
Excellent
Lace his leg with your leg if he elevates to avoid being slam.
Also if you have grappling experience, there’s a kimura.
I usually shout "go on daddy". It works most of the time.
These wrestling moves made me victorious in all my street fights👍🏼
Never gonna break the grip on ur gut, gotta get ur hip bone on it
Awesome video 🙏goes to show you that a fundamental escape could be modified to a realistic situation
Thank you! Gonna do a full breakdown soon
Very good

lol nice
Throw a reverse headbutt in first. Split second before breaking the hold. If you can hit nose bonus points
In a wrestling match this happened I apologized as it happened 😂 I did what's in video but so fast where my head whipped his nose
Perfect
SICK!!!!
Awsome i thought i was gonna be a bogus move 👏
If someone gets their hands around my waist, they have freakishly long arms.
I just humbled my dog, thanks!
Btw getting heavy on your hips means drop your center of mass.

option 4:roundhouse kick
Wrestling is menacing...
Very important lesson
While I like your later options I would have liked to see more options before the turn. Like a kimura grip for example
My friend tried to suplex me into concrete once and this is exactly what I did 😂
Watta pal
@alotafhindi7485 hey man if your friends never try to potentially leave you paralyzed are they even your friends? 🤣
Two hands on one is what my wrestling coach always taught to break the grip, some people are just strong so he taught to put all the pressure on one hand. Cause I’ve been slammed trying to split it to both.😂
After I get out of that hold and they don't have a weapon, I'm bringing the pain
🤦♂️
Dark souls roll into kneebar
Based my main style is boxing but I started learning wrestling I really like it😎🍻
Thanks
Turn, grab head knee.. repeat as necessary 👌

Thank you so much! My grandma won't stand a chance 😊😊😊!
At school if someone did this it would've been a foot stomp, shin kick or groin kick, seen plenty people do it 😬
U wanna be lower than them basically and break the grip, kimora works great for breaking the grip i wish i knew that kimora grip back in high school
Fml look at the haters. Bro i rate you because practise makes perfect all that shit works and is certified ive had enough street fights grapples etc to finally understand the physics that shit works fair play ❤
If that's how you're gonna turn and throw punches you might just want to run away off the break
Depends, is this a fight or a wrestling match?
Very good video. Im a noob to grappling but this seems to be legit info
It’s pretty legit they just don’t explain breaking the grip all that well
Do the instant to elbow.
Option 1: Run away. Everything else is on the back burner.
Reverse head butt works too. Your attacker is not going to like getting smashed on the nose or the mouth.
Dont forget the kimura defense
I usually grab the wrist and try and roll with a Kimura
if he waits this long to throw you ... yeah
Rolling knee bar
What about a comfortable instep behind their dominant leg hooking inside behind thiers causing them to trip backwards off balanced a bit?
In a street fight there’s no rules against grabbing 1 or 2 fingers and peeling them hard af that’s always a good way of getting ppl to let go. It hurts like a B and is very effective. I get that doesn’t fly in jujitsu tho.

I thought you were giving advice for wrestling until you said start throwing punches
Eat 2 lunches back to back for a while and no one will be putting their arms around you from behind ever again.
Avoid the situation if you dont know how to do it is the main option
Nice,
aren't you supposed to slide to one side of the hip or the other. to stretch his reach and reduce leverage?
Put your hip bone into their hands, and keep switiching between the sides
No one gets more mad when they see you reach behind then a high school wrestling coach.🤬
Can u do a video on if someone grabs ur hair. More for girls.
How about hooking that leg with your own? Playing it save.
You can dive between your own legs and get a knee bar as well, nobody will see that coming lol. Not optimal on concrete but having someone behind isn’t optimal either.
I like to grab a kimura grip on the way out but thats just me
What about hips to the side and strikes to the groin? Have you tested some like that?
This will be discussed in depth when the full video drops
Back of the head to the front of theirs
What I do I just scratch them because I got used doing it when I was a kid
I've been in a bunch of fight no ones ever grabbed me this way.
cause you’ve never actually fought anyone good
@@themanstan0785 have you had to use this in a fight??? Exactly...

What about the Sakuraba kimura on pride fc fights
If in a street fight you could Turn and kick to the ribs
When they drop their weight, i literally pull them down further into an easy backtake lol works 80% of the time
Also when u get free u could throw a kick in if you tried 😂 .
Never mentioned wrapping the leg?
