- Weather might be the biggest factor of todays adventure. Los Vaqueros Management delayed the boat rentals till 0800 due to high wind and Gusts. Finding them trout was a bit difficult on the first hour of our trip, we moved two different spots before our first hook up. No bites on Power bait and Mice tale. All on Spoon.

What an interesting day of fishing with all fish being caught on the spoons! Thanks again for another fun video!🙂
Glad you enjoyed it my friend.
Wow some pretty good sized catches!
Thanks!
"Fishman" you scored again, locating a hot spot that produced many good catches. Some catches were "BIG" recently stocked fish, long distances away from their release point. Interesting too, was those fish (big) were more interested in lures/jigs and not usual hatchery type power bait feed. A hypothesis: Some older, big stocked fish ("innately") quickly move long distances (feel free and gat away from release points) looking for more natural foods (and "natural environments") than power bait in concrete traces. Other stocked fish remain near release points, quickly go for/eat anything and are quickly caught/eliminated from the lake. I "wonder/question" if older, bigger fish may be more likely to disperse farther from their release point than smaller young fish??? Aside and regardless of my wondering thoughts, you're a great fisher who produces enjoyable and very learned videos.
Thanks Ron. In my humble opinion. I really think when those Trouts are released in the lake, with the lakes temperature variations and water quality, they quickly swam away for better quality water and temp. I'm guessing, some trouts stays within the plant locations due to sedating chems might not have worn out yet. The other factor, On a windy plant days, With my experience, most shore line are murky due to waves are crashing on the mud bank and stirred the water brown. Most of the time i don't catch anything when this happened. When Boating, some areas or coves are still in pristine conditions despite of windy days and most trouts i've caught are in this quality of water. Catching these fish on the lure is very tricky for me. Lure i used mimics how prey fish swim ( minnows or insects ) it takes a few casts to be proficient with it and i really think colors and presentations play a big role. Let me know your availability and hopefully we can fish together on a boat before the seasons for trout ends.

@@fishermanally i checked it says the north side is closed for access by foot, do you know if we can still go with boat?
@@hmoobshow2482 if the wind forecast is below 15 mph,you can rent a boat. You can then fish the entire lake. North side restrictions are for “hike in” access. Please note that you cannot land the boat anywhere except marina. We use the anchors to fish in several remote coves. Tight lines. Uncle Steve
@@stevedyer5902 are anchors provided or we have to bring our own?
@@hmoobshow2482 two anchors are provided with each rental boat, one at front and one at back.
