@@fishermanally At 4:50 of the video, the other guy is saying it's 21", the one that you had just gaffed. That's all that I'm saying, if you gaff and it's short, doesn't matter if you release it, there is a hole in the fish.
@@rambokim68For the record i didn't say what you said i said. The "GUY" said it was SMALL its 22. Then they said it was 21, I said wait for me to check, the Hali was 22" and were released. The gaff hole was in the lower part body of the fish. The fish was not gaffed in the vital areas, like stomach or head. I've caught halibut with far worse than a hole in their body and still survive. I agree with you, don't gaffed a fish if its Obviously small, With this catch, 22 " and 23" is pretty hard to tell. Don't Judge you weren't there.
Thank you so much for a great time out in the bay. Awesome time...catching fish was a plus.
Thanks brother man.
Another great day on the lake together……Thanks for all the great memories! 🙂
Thanks Steve.
Thanks for the invite brother man. Had an awesome time as always. Good thing I was on the right side of the boat where the halibuts were. 😂

Great Place to go.
should be netting the smaller one instead of gaffing the 21" that you said on the video.
Which part i said it? We released 22" on the dot. Short means 1/2 inch to 22 1/2 inches.
