Great catches. I’ve been watching your videos and am a beginner at fishing. I’ve went to los vaqueros 3 times on boat in passed month with a buddy and used the same bait and set ups as you guys but we haven’t had any luck. Do you have any tips? We want to catch some fish lol
Thanks for watching! There are lots of coves you can choose from. However, my methods of choosing one might be different from anyone else. I choose my coves or spots depending of when the last plant was. Example: 2 days after the plant, i try my luck at Howden cove ect...IMO, Weather is a big factor, Lassen stays within the temp they were once raised. They are also Finicky type of fish, they moved around when they sense movement around them, ( loud anchor splash etc...) majority of the coves have no anglers on the shore making noise therefore those trouts love hugging the bank for food or shelter like down trees or tules. If you noticed on my video, i throw my jig or bait close to the bank. If one area doesn't produce a bite or no activity for at least 20mins i move to the next spot. Gears and setup are also critical for presentation. I use 500 to 1000 series reel, 5'6" light rod or trout rod up to 7'.6", shorter leader when water is cooler and longer leader when the surface water started to warm up a bit. 2' for colder and 3 to 4' for warmer days, #16 treble hooks is my choice. Hope this helps. Tight lines my friend.
What a great day on the lake with added blessing of Two MONSTER size trout! 👍🙂👍
Thanks my friend.
Dude TWO 6lbs+?! That is awesome! Thanks for sharing sir.
Thanks for watching brother man.
Great videos. I was wondering is it hard to anchor the boats there with the winds?
Stronger winds between 10 t0 15mph is a bit troublesome. Try looking for a better cove to anchor against the wind. Thanks for watching.
Wow!! Those are super sized Lassen's. Must be near PR size?
I'm still searching for the 8+pounder. Thanks Ron.
