I had a silver 1996 GT/B (previous gen to this one). Great car turned a lot of heads when I got it. Job to insure back then a lot easier now. The exhaust went so I had it decatted straight thru pipe. Here in Blighty cos it's an import its exempt at the MOT test.
I owned this exact car a few years ago and sold it for $4800 @ 182,000 K's. Had a pod filter, bov and aftermarket exhaust, so much regret... Mad turbo flutter... Miss it.
S editions were rev d 2001-2003 models only. So facelift variant. They came with the 4/2 pot calipers, blacked out interior as all Gen 3 models weren’t black, if it was manual you got an lsd gearbox, quicker steering rack, optional bbs wheels like the one in the video, and they are the only model to have this yellow, and I think wrc blue
@@wrxcult8266 Surprisingly, the '89 Legacy GT I had in QLD could blast people off from the lights if they weren't paying attention. Was great fun! It's still in Brisbane, I believe. A dark blue wagon. Damn I miss it, though.
Don't knock the auto, mate, it's still damn fast. My MY2000 GT-B here in NZ was wicked. From what I remember it didn't get the power gap between the primary to primary-and-secondary turbos spooling up. Still, it was slightly detuned from the manuals.
i just got mine, in blue with gold rims…. 2002 E-tune… goshh literally at almost every traffic light, i got eyes on the car… i kid u not !!😅😊😂
Nice one…congrats 👊🏼

Nice one Mark!! Thanks for sharing - very cool
The '96 was a great year. I had one myself in NZ.

Did this guy just say 28 thousand??
Ha ha has only 38k on it now😂
What makes it a S-Edition? I have myself a Mustard Mica 1998 GTB and have never seen another one yet.
Great question- hopefully someone more intimate with each model can comment
As far as I know the main advantages over a normal Rev-D is a quicker steering rack , the 4 pot brakes and the seats have a bit more support.

The guy who helped me STi EJ swap my 2.5RS swapped this engine into his USDM Legacy. It’s probably the most sleeper that’s ever sleeped in our state.
That’s so cool. Would love to see the faces of people as you pull away….see ya! 😂

My Grandad owned one untill the clutch exploded. That was most of these cars problems anyways.
It was a manual btw
Damn clutch!!! 🤣 cool car for grandpa though!!! 😎👊🏼
@@wrxcult8266 Yep😎
that`s an easy fix = with a slight upgrade = like a new car !
And it’s auto 🙈
Yes, will suit some but clearly, the manual would be preferred!! Flat Four have another blue version that is manual....
