    My uncle used to have a 1994 twin turbo, midnight blue and with a momo steering wheel. That car was fire, still in love with it.

    Got a Blitzen edition with the 5speed and I love it. Drives great on the summer and is a blast to drift around in the snow and on lakes during winter. Canadian weather approved 🇨🇦

      Nice i have a 1998 B4 RSK, you should get a tune if you don't have 100 octane nearby, mine is tuned for the 94 canadian gas and making 330 hp.

    What a sweet ride! Twin turbo AND a wagon, oh yeah! The only thing better would have been if it had a manual transmission. Japan got all the cool cars, especially in the 1990s. That car actually looks newer than a 1994, but good thing it is that old, because now that it's over 25 years old, it was able to be imported into the US.

    zack you forgot to mention the switch for having your headlights automatically turn off when you turn the engine off on the steering wheel. I love that switch and it is great that my 97 legacy outback has that and I love I haven't killed a battery from that.

    Very good review! I have this very model in New Zealand where there are a few of them around. Mine still factory but most here have been modified now. Much more practical day-to-day than my 1990 Nissan 300zx/TT.

    I can think of only 2 cars that we got that were better then there JDM counterparts but that's it I agree that we in the U.S market got shafted. The two I know that were better then there JDM counterparts are the X72/73 Cressida because we got the 5M-GE and japan didn't and 1976-95 U.S 2wd Hilux trucks because we got the bulletproof 20/22R and they got the weak 18R or 21R. The 4WD's don't count because they got the turbo diesel in those. Just wanted people to know that there are a rare few super cool USDM Japanese cars we got that they didn't.

    Nice video. I've just bought a 2002 GTB legacy wagon which is one of the last twin turbo models before they went twin scroll. Hopefully getting it next week!

    • @paulransley4253

      Wrong. They had a 2003. Model called the "S-Edition" which came in a few rare color options such as "spark yellow" and "WRC blue". This car also featured the twin turbo setup, I know for a fact, because I've owned one in spark yellow.

    It's so weird having a Postal version of the legacy. It's the middle ground between a JDM Legacy and a USDM Legacy. For example, obviously, it's RHD. But everything else is USDM, meaning, turn signals and wipers aren't switched. Everything is still in English rather than Japanese. I've been looking for some authentic JDM parts for it.

  • @pkopalek
    @pkopalek Рік тому +2

    To be pedantic, Subaru should never have branded this "twin turbo" because twin means TWO OF THE SAME TURBOS. Biturbo more generally and sequential more specifically - not "twin".

  • @TrillMurray
    @TrillMurray Рік тому

    I had no idea the jdm legacy was a second gen in 94

  • @paulransley4253
    @paulransley4253 10 місяців тому

    You got a few things wrong about this car, and I should know, here in New Zealand we have an abundance of these, right from 1993-2003 they kept the twin turbo setup, and I've driven plenty of them and owned plenty. There's definitely a lag in-between the turbo changeover, its known as the "valley of death", it's a noticeable dip in torque before the second turbo kicks in. Also, that cluster in the car you've shown is not factory, it's an aftermarket STi cluster as the GT legacy's never had an STi version, closest they had was the 2003 S-Edition, which I've owned.

      You can’t. The TT setup won’t fit on anything but a right hand drive car. The turbos will get in the way of the steering, and brakes on a USDM model. If it makes you feel better, a modern single turbo will outperform the old twin setup in every way.

      Vacuum issues with the black box of death.
      More moving parts, more parts that can fail.
      Treat a turbo better than you do yourself. Change the oil religiously and on-time.
