- What is food in Guyana like?
In this Guyana travel vlog I go through some of the Guyanese dishes I learned to make and Guyana food items I tried. I visited markets to try some Guyana street food, learned to make recipes in the Rupununi Savannah and tried some special Guyana alcohol!
Of course this is just a few things ...make sure to comment and tell me what I should try next time I'm in Guyana.

One good thing about Guyana is, they do have some of the best tasting food in the region. If nothing else the people do know how to cook.
This little gem of a country that only few knew about, glad ppl are finding it and will appreciate the people and land and not change it but it's too late for that...

There is a lot in common with Indian food.
The Sapota is commonly available in India, called as Chikku.
Good to know that one fruit has migrated in the opposite direction to most other fruits - Jamun.
Some Cassava dish similar to what you ate is also made in Kerala.
The sweet flat bread you rolled at the end is called puran poli or holige.
some of those dishes are indigenous recipes mixed with indian cuisine

@@Sthmohtwenty the west Indians weren't abuducted they came as laborers but they signed a treaty so the British took advantage of them and their working conditions were similar to that of the Africans.
