🔴 Easy red aquarium plant (Dwarf tiger Lotus)

This is an easy beginner freshwater aquarium plant. It is known for its ability to stay a nice red color despite not having CO2. They do however, quite enjoy a nutrient rich substrate.
I tried to keep this plant in my fish tank along with my nosey fancy goldfish. It did not really go well. They kept messing with the leaves and digging the bulbs up. After a while the plant sprouted a baby bulb! I was super excited. I managed to plant it under a branch. I am hoping that with some root tabs and the branch to protect it, it will hopefully flourish.

hello, when you get the plant for first time, was without the bulb? only roots? im looking to get a lotus red tiger and i think is only roots, so was thinking maybe on the time will growth the bulb to get more ?

Hello! I actually bought mine locally with the bulb attached. I was looking at some without the bulb on Buceplant's website. I ended up buying these since I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. I have heard that they can do well with just the roots. According to their reviews it seems to be 50/50. Just have some roots tabs on hand to help it out. But I highly recommend that you try to find a sprouted bulb. That would be your best bet because you can benefit from a high chance of rooting. As well as a potential baby bulb like mine gave me.
