Thanks. I've been trying to fix my Husqvarna 2448 that has the same engine. I think this video has solved my problem. There was a loud spark and smoke when I shifted into forward. Then it would not start. I replaced the battery because it would not get above 10.5 volts during a 4-hour charge and could not start the motor. Then it started but only one cylinder would fire (very rough). I changed the plugs but still the same. I pulled one plug out and it ran the same so I was able to determine which cylinder was not firing. I was about to pull the valve cover off till I saw this video. I'm not a motor head. I'm a carpenter and wood turner so this is all Greek to me. I'm going to replace the one coil and see if that is the problem. Thanks for posting.
My John Deere has never started right and I could never figure out why. It cranks for two minutes before it finally starts. So I'll check the coils. Thanks for the video!
I take that cowl off the engine and do a mouse nest check every spring. A few years ago, I went out and mowed the first time for about an hour and things went fine. I started the mower the next day and it would barely run. I found a mouse nest covering up one of the cylinders and it overheated. I had to replace the engine.
I'm glad it was helpful and thank you for the kind comment. Please give this video a like and share my channel with your friends to help it grow! It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for watching:)
I thought I had tenacity. This man is killing it with one hand. I’m always complaining because I don’t have three. That won’t happen again.
