I'm italian and i envy you brits so much because you have fantastic cars like these. The fun in a car is the first thing to look when you buy one, and this is the reason i would buy one of this awsome car.
I used to work as a sheet metal worker making these Morgan 3 wheeler body panels and building them onto the ash frame. This is done in Coventry at an engineering company called Premier Group. Some of the panels can be a real pig to fabricate and put together. Premier also make some of the panels and the rear end of Morgan's Aero Supersport. If you search here on youtube 'premier 3 wheeler' the video will come up from when Premier made the 1000th 3 wheeler.
I respect the traditional craftsmanship and construction of the Morgan. If they went with a tube chassis and a fiberglass body; us normal folk could afford one. Then again, that might dilute the throwback cool image.
Looks more like some home shed project than a commercial car manufacturer! I loved the original Morgan three wheelers, wonderful that they brought it back!
In Normal, Illinois USA near Illinois State University is a one-man body shop. And in that shop are two 3-wheeled Morgans out of the 40's/50's ?? IDN. The body shop owner also has the original Pratt-Whitney wood ash plugs used for sand molds for pouring the cast iron bits for radial engines for the B-17 and other era aeroplanes that use these engines.
@@Mgold6GamingIm afraid they're not. There is always bits falling off em, breaking down or just badly manufactured. Dont get me wrong, I think they are fantastic, I would love one and I love the Morgan brand ( I own a Plus 4 ) but the three wheelers do suffer from plenty of warrantee issues, more than they should IMO
@@bonesshed. Have to agree with you there, bought mine with 1000 miles on the clock after another 1000 the cam belt broke ! A grand to fix it, then the brakes failed, the battery securing bar shorted across to the live teminal and melted the battery. Bits aways falling off or failing !.
Fifty thousand dollars for a V-Twin made in Wisconsin mated to a Miata transmission, a wooden frame and panel beaten alumin(i)um skin on motorcycle wheels? It's got the cool factor off the charts but I'm sorry, fifty thousand is too damn much. I'd save up and buy one for thirty but fifty? No way.
yea certainly a rich mans toy, I would love one myself likewise, but simply not possible at the pricepoint. They seem to be selling them just fine though as they have waiting quite the waiting list at this point. Still, if I could have purchased this instead of my MX5 for the same pricepoint, I would own a M3W instead.
Roger Lord thanks. I realized if the three wheeler was FWD, then a front differential would be needed, as the inside front wheel can naturally turn slower in a turn. As it’s a single RWD wheel, a differential wouldn’t be needed.

Luca Maini Italy has better cars, just not affordable.

What a wonderful car and the Malvern Hills, both are perfect for driving around.

Really, really love one.

How can anyone not like this car, buy one in a heart beat
Brilliant video thankyou. Your watch band and rings against the newly painted bonnet made me wince however.....
You're not buying a car, it's a piece of art and a real deal at current prices of about $80k.
Great video!
No, the prop shaft does not go to a differential. It's got a single rear wheel, why would it have a differential?
My dreaming car, also the aero and the catherham 7
Not a patch on Bill Tuer's engines, but not much are. Maybe Alf Hagon's engines.
looks boss to drive..
What's not to like about this classic?
I hear that he said a diff, or a differential. But there's only one powered wheel. Is there a mistake?
Why do they not employ Bill Tuer as a development engineer?!!
It’s in Malvern I live there
want one
6 years later, I guarantee 100% of those three wheelers in this clip were back in at some point for warranty work. lol
They are surprisingly reliable and have been driven in the desert

3:42 haha if the owner of that pink seated 3 wheeler had seen this xD
Whats the horrible whining noise coming from, Bevel box or the belt?
Bevel box
Thats the bevel box, mine does the same.
Stability is four Wheels.
Ilove morgan3whlar

Seems like fair value for the smile factor, head turning factor, and overall coolness and class

This is in England not Wisconsin.
Just because it has a Harly Engine does not mean its made in Merica...
@@bicyclist2 He said the ENGINE is made in Wisconsin, and he's 100% correct. The engine is made by S&S in La Crosse, WI.
Bellissime le Morgan
Diff?
BurnDuration I thought the whole point of a 3 wheeler was to eliminate a diff.
It’s actually a bevel box to turn the drive 90 degrees and enable a belt drive/swinging arm to be fitted

I want one as well. Not for 50k quids though.
Shmee wheeler
He said it was the most fun car he had driven in 2016 in an interview.
If you crash directly into something the engine would be screwed :P
Well, it's not the better car to get crashed with...
Just don't crash and you will be ok 😀
But if you have an accident who is going to repair it? With all that wood I wonder.
Has to go back to Morgan.
God mesin
40 grand ? you have to be kidding me.
More bike, really
