I actually bought a univox hi flyer phase 2 for $15 at the swap meet in Brooklyn, it had all its original parts intact and even the paint of the original sun burst wasn’t that damaged. If it wasn’t for the a random passerby who told me about the guitar I would’ve return the guitar back.
Hey, I am sorry that I am not able to fully accurately answer this question. I’ll let you know this though: the pickups neck/bridge positions had some noise, like a strat would, but way less noisy. For P90 style pickups they had insane clarity, and the noiseyness was not very significant. So id say these pickups were fantastic in terms of like putting up with the annoying hum
@@fleadoggreen9062 I have played both the reissue and a phase 3 and I can say first hand they do decent but if your looking for high gain with punchy clean tone you seriously need the original
I'd love to own a Hi Flier one day, they look like great guitars.
Thanks for the review!
Update: Just bought a Phase 3 Sunburst one!
@@jq.guitars phase 3’s are awesome. Possibly my favorite Phase
Beautiful guitar man. I’d love to get my hands on one of these
I have the exact same guitar! I love mine!

Wow , you are very lucky. Got such a good price on it
Do the pickupa have a little bit of that single-coil buzz going on? And if so does it stop if you use both pickups (middle position)? Thanks!

Johnny Ramone vibes radiate through this guitar
How can you tell the difference from the reissue
I don’t know if there’s a reissue of the Univox Hi Flier. But the Eastwood ones have a very similar look. The headstock usually is a good way to tell
@@electricworkshop4462 are the Eastwood guitars decent guitars ? Thanks
