It is great to have a channel devoted to British stars so sadly lost to us. These people made our lives better by entertaining us or by working to protect us through research. May they all rest in peace.
I met Ian Lavender in 2012. What a great bloke. He told a story to a small audience, about him and John le Mesurier going out on the piss in Thetford. He got me to act the part of John...what a treat!
You Stupid boy 🤦♂️ Loved that show , My Brother has the Series on DVD , When nothing on TV 📺 , or Just plain crap , Turn to the old Favourite Dads Army , still laugh My head of , the Cast , there timeing not Rude , no swearing , Simply the Best 👌
John Savident was an absolute joy to watch and for quite a while, I was hesitantly awaiting for news of his departure. The great British character actors are virtually gone now but at least we've got them on celluloid to watch time and time again and never having to rely on the modern shallow celebrities that pass off for artists today.
@@philsterthephilster I particularly liked a performance of his in an episode of Public Eye. It's entitled..I Always Wanted A Swimming Pool. Track it down and see what you think.
I shall always remember John Savident in the 1969 film 'Battle of Britain' where he had a bit part as an RAF officer delivering some good news. However, he really excelled in the 1970 film 'Waterloo' where he played the part of the Prussian liaison officer Karl von Müffling. His sudden, muddied appearance at the Duchess of Richmond's ball🎻 was in complete contrast to the immaculate uniforms worn by Wellington's officers (and rank and file soldiers). 💂♂️🥁🇬🇧
R.I.P. John Savident a versatile actor who did many roles for many years. He played differing characters in Blakes 7 and could comedic and classical roles? He will be missed.

I am in no way a rugby union fan but was really surprised that Barry John on played 25 times for his country. I'm 70 and he was always iirc being spoken of in high regrd and it seemed for much more than about 6 seasons. As for Pamela Salem, omg 💕💕💕💕😭😭and for those current people who are having difficulty, SHE was a perfect example of what men would term a woman.
My heartfelt condolences to their families. The only one I didn't know of was the chap from the office. And with Dave Myers(Hairy Bikers) also passing away, it' was a very sad month.
No know king Barry John great Ness Welsh rugby player sadly must he was king all great Welsh rugby player have gone they never be anyone like again I am proud two Welsh seeing them play
A very young John Savident also starred in the Battle of Britain movie, watched it the other night and thought, I'm sure thats the guy out of Corrie. R.I.P to all these good actors and actresses.
WIth the exceptions of Ian Lavender, Steve Wright and maybe Michael Jayston, this show stretched the definition of celebrity to vreaking point, but may their souls rest in peace.
It appears practically on these issues, is it only actors or celebrities die, what about scientists, doctors, social workers, children in wars. 😢 Wrong focus.
Most probably because nobody actually grows up with these people and so we're not aware of them or their passing. These uploads are to draw in viewers which those you mention probably wouldn't.

Michael Jayston had a wonderful radio voice. I'm listening to Rogue Male by Geoffrey Household which Jayston is narrating.
Thanks.
I cannot believe she was 80. But none of us are getting any younger. RIP Pamela.

Why would anyone die at 44, with no explanation?
