I LOVED THIS SHOW. I HAVE THE ENTIRE SERIES ON DVD AND WARCH THE WHOLE SERIES ONCE A YEAR. PATRICIA ROUTLEDGE (HYACINTH BUCKET) IS STILL ALIVE. SHES 95.
So many names that had notable careers in stage, film and TV. Bernard Archard, Ann Sheridan, Nigel Davenport were examples from this well of talent across the generations. Credit must be given to the writer of this series who, I recall, also penned "Last of the Summer Wine" and "Open All Hours". One of the foremost talents in situation comedy writing, with repeats of all of his series still being seen on UK TV screens...a thoroughly deserved form of immortality.
